It depends on your specialty and your area. I do not know a lot about it, but I do know you can be a DME supplier and that does not necessarily require being a provider. Thanks for watching!

@@MuhammadHamza-b5o I’m sorry I don’t understand what you mean by “normal person.” Only doctor offices and healthcare providers credentialed and enrolled with Medicare can bill Medicare directly. Non-healthcare professionals cannot. I hope this helps.
Hey Jennifer, thank you for creating this video. Very useful. Is there a good email which I can use to ask a couple of questions if you don’t mind? I’ve been searching the internet but I don’t know if I am headed in the right direction. Would be very helpful if I can get the information from someone like you. Thank you.
You have to be a recognized healthcare provider in the United States to bill any medical service or equipment to insurances. It is also best to be credentialed and contacted with insurances to get the best reimbursement. Thank you for watching!
Yes it usually is not to difficult to apply with Medicare. If you’re a DME supplier it may be a bit more complex, but the key is knowing what you’re doing.
If you are asking if Hearing Aids are covered, the answer is not for most adults. There was a recent law passed that hearing aids need to be covered for children, but adults still have to pay out-of-pocket, including Medicare insured people. I have hearing aids myself and I had to use my HSA account to pay for mine. It is definitely not fair, but it is what it is at this point. Thank you for asking and for the question!
I don’t use anyone for billing as I’m a consultant and don’t work at any one office. In the past, my places of employment have used in house billers and hired the EMR company for their billing services. There are also 3rd party billing companies too. Every group has different needs. I appreciate you watching.

There are stipulations, but non-providers can but you have to fall into the other optional categories. The CMS website provides the details.

Hi there! Thank you for watching and you’re so welcome. I’m not super well-versed in DME but I’m happy to try. Jennifer@icsolns.net.
Which company do you use for billing
I don’t have a need for billing. Clients usually already have a billing company lined up when I meet them.
Medical insurance data needed!
I would like to try and help further, but I would need to know exactly what you are requesting. Thank you.

what about CMN
Medicare usually requires this, and some other insurances, so you should have a process internally to generate this to provide. Thanks for watching!
