  • The CAQH Proview platform is a widely used credentialing application by many, but not all payers. Using the CAQH as a launchpad for collecting and organizing your data on every doctor and provider needing to be credentialed is helpful. This video explains how and why this works so well and how to succeed in provider credentialing.

Where do I find my CAQH number and my insurance policy number without spooking my employer?

You can call CAQH and provide information for them to give it to you over the phone. As far as your professional liability insurance, there should be a Certificate of Insurance (COI) sheet scanned into your CAQH profile once you get access. It also should be entered in the designated section of CAQH if memory serves me. Thanks for watching and good luck!

Hi there! I've seen all your videos very helpful!!!! Our business is growing and we would like to add another BCBA to our business! The owner who is a BCBA has a group Tax ID number already. But I am unsure how enter it in CAQH? Do I enter the new BCBA as an individual first then find her in the system then include to the existing (group) provider? Any advice would be helpful. Thank you!

Thank you for watching and the question! It really depends on the business/tax structure of the provider’s business that the TIN is associated. If she is registered as a sole proprietor and not a “group” like LLC or something similar then it would be her individual TIN and the business would need its own. If you want to bill under a group, then you need a group TIN with correct business structure and group NPI (NPI 2) for billing purposes. Each individual provider needs to have their own personal information added and then the group TIN in which they will be billing on claims needs to be associated to their employer/group in which they will be billing for services. If the new BCBA will be billing under a group contract then you would use the TIN and NPI 2 associated to the existing contract. I hope this makes sense. If you need more clarification, please email me: jennifer@icsolns.net. Good luck!

Thank you for watching and for the suggestion. I think it is a good idea to release some videos for how (ideally) credentialing/contracting should take place. I do have a playlist with all credentialing-related topics, so check that out if you have not already. I would suggest starting with watching the videos on how to complete a credentialing application since it explains all the information and documents that will be needed before starting anything credentialing-related. This week I will work on putting together step-by-step videos as well to release ASAP. Please feel free to email me with any other concerns or questions at jennifer@icsolns.net.
