- I got inspired a lot by @AdamVoxMusic youtube.com/@AdamVoxMusic?si=...
latest video about detroit techno. I highly recommend his channel !
I wanted to explore what the compacts could do. For this one I only used the T-8 and damn it would be great if it had a cymbal in it ;-)
I used the clap ("hnt" alternative sound) to mimic the sound of a passing train on railways for this one. Here are the settings :
Gain : 180
Decay : 50
Pan : C 0 (centered)
Color : -128
Clap : hnt
Odon : off
SC : 30
ScLy : 8
Reverb : 63
Delay : 0
Tune knob : minimal (turned to the left)
Delay setting : 1-8
Reverb setting : 206
Also found that by activating "mute" in the menu, you can directly mute instruments without pressing shift which was very convenient with only one hand available :-)
All sounds coming from the T-8 without post-processing and recorded live in my android phone with "Open Camera" app (audio set to stereo).
Sounds great, the railway rhythm reminds me traveling home by train after rave, when I was still hearing the best bangers in my mind and whistling in my ears. Thank god, that my ears are still working well.
Just bought one and I’m so stoked after seeing this
I’m always excited to hear the next thing you’re going to create. This is awesome.
Thank you !
great pattern! played in context
Thank you !
I brought my t-8 on the train whit me yesterday. From cadiz to madrid, 5 hour train ride. It went by fast!. Thanx for the inspiraton! Great track as always
Thank you ! Wish you plenty of happy jams on your side !
I was expecting some Trans Europe Express cover but this is also cool and that rail on tracks sound is just perfect.
I wanted to play withe the words "trance europ express" and "trans europ express"; hence the title.
Nice. T-8 on it’s own is so fun.
Yes. It might seem simple at first glance but there is in fact a lot of possibilities.
Clap sound? I thought you were mixing real train sounds.
I was impressed by the wonderful ideas unique to the performance on the train.
I used the "hnt" alternative clap and yes it is pretty convincing :-). Here are the settings :
Gain : 180
Decay : 50
Pan : C 0 (centered)
Color : -128
Clap : hnt
Odon : off
SC : 30
ScLy : 8
Reverb : 63
Delay : 0
Tune knob : minimal (turned to the left)
Delay setting : 1-8
Reverb setting : 206
@@bigkik I was able to create train sounds using the settings you taught me.
The functionalities of the T-8 are indeed profound.
Thanks a lot!
@cocolobeat you are welcome !
creative and smooth af. The acid portion of the t8 is so classic.
Thank you !
Aww was hoping for a tempo slowing fade out at the end hahah
/Nice video. I love the sounds! I was curious how do you mute all sounds on the T-8?
Thank you. In the menu you can go to "mute". Then each part can be muted directly without the shift button.
@@bigkik /Thank you so much for the help! I've been trying to figure that out for about 2 weeks!
your videos make me wonder if the T-8 is a better instrument than the TR-8
I don't know. I don't have the TR-8 but I have the TR-6S and this one is far more superior to the T-8 bass apart. The T-8 has plenty of settings for the drums but there are several limitations :
- 32 steps (but 64 patterns)
- few sounds : 1 kick, 1 snare, 3 claps, 2 toms, 1 oh/ch
- small knobs for live performance
Hard choice !
hiii, how long does the battery last on the t-8 and s-1?
Hello, Roland says 4,5 hours. I have never measured but it seems to be correct.
