I would say Forget and Not Slow Down is not only my favorite Relient K record, but my favorite record of all time! I've probably watched the making of video 10 times and it still fascinates me every time and helps me to see what I can do for my band to make our own record. #FANSD
Dear Relient K, I'm 19 and you've been my favorite band since I was in middle school. Please come to Abilene, TX where I go to school. Or my backyard. Yes, just come to my backyard.
Well trust me, all of the hard work put into this album has paid off. Your sound is so mature, and your lyrics are so real. I've loved you guys for about six years now, and every time that i listen to your songs is as good as the first time.
Sooo Stoked for the new record fellas!!! randomly got back into a "Forget and not slow down" mood lately at work and it's been gettin me through my days!
its awesome seeing you guys do your thing in this video. you probably will never realize how much your music has impacted my life as a christian. Saw you guys at rock the universe, first time ive ever gotten a chance to see you live. Thanks for being amazing, and real, and really amazing!
Relient K, I learned about you from a friend in jr. high when I was just a kid. Since then I've gone through heart-wrenching relocations across the 'states away from my friends and all that was familiar, but you've always been there for me. I feel like I've grown up with you always by my side in the years where one needs it most. I've listened to your sound and lyrics mature right alongside myself. I'll love you unconditionally, for the rest of my life. ps: Savannah and Jefferson Aeroplane
I'm so happy this is up! Forget and Not Slow Down is one of my favorite albums by Relient K. It's beautifully written and expresses so much emotion. Thank you guys for making not only this album, but every other one. You truly are my favorite band.
the first time i got this album i literally listened to it all the way through 100 times. literally in my itunes library each song had at least 100 plays. after watching this my interest has been renewed for at least 100 more :D thanks for making great music!
I am SO happy this finally came out. Been waiting on it for two years! Very cool for a tone nerd like me to see all the time, effort, and thought put into the guitars on F&NSD. All of that work definitely payed (paid?) off in the end. I'm still looking back and referencing those tones when I try to come up with some good sounds. Honestly, my favorite album you guys have put out, and I'm very excited to see what another couple of years of waiting will bring us! Keep rockin' boys.
Much to everyone's chagrin, FANSD is the first Relient K record I ever bought, not knowing much about their music. I'd heard of Relient K as a kid, but hadn't heard the band fore more than a couple songs like Sadie Hawkins, things like that. To this day, it remains one of my favorite records of all time.
Thanks for being such awesome dudes! As a long time listener its great to have this inside view to the band, what you guys are like, and how you do what you do. Keep it up and I can't wait to hear what you come up with next!
@rkfan100 A good bit of this footage was released while they were actually making the record, because they were sent out each week as a podcast from the band, updating fans on the progress of the record. But YES, this is the first time this vid has been available as a whole and oh, how enjoyable it really is to see. Gotta love it. Go relient k.
Awesome God and it’s really Amazing Grace. They’re going out to the cabin for Youth Group at the Church Camp. Just like webisodes and campfire roasted marshmallows with s’mores and playing with acoustic guitar.
This webisode made me so happy! I absolutely love Relient K and FANSD! Being able to see everyone in that behind the scenes recording was just so natural and so fun! You guys are so influential on my life, and I can never stop listening to your music!! Keep on making great music, you guys are the best!
I've always wanted to see you guys live :( Your music is such an inspiration to me, it helped me through bad days and good days. Thanks for everything. God bless you.
Nice video! I was hoping for more about the lyrics but it was cool to see the musical thought process. And bless you for not falling to autotuned temptation.
I am so glad I watched this. I just got my signed K is for Karaoke and I've been in a Relient K-y mood lately. Keep doing what you're doing! (and come to Milwaukee)
Excelent!!! i was waiting for this work by cale and Relient k, t is a great documentary, this album is great. I also liked the subliminal mini scenes at the end on the bloopers.
Way to bring the awesome. I worked at Dark Horse for a min and it's great to see you guys crank it out. Great film work as well. Solid all around! Party on.
@btkrick When they tweeted this video, they said it was to hold us over as they're writing for the new album. The "Is For Karaoke" is just an in-between E.P. kind of deal. Relient K has always been a band that kept new music coming for its fans. It's just a guess, but seeing as they are in the process of writing new music, there will probably be a new album by next year sometime.
I started watching this and then about 20 minutes into it I realized that I had already seen it, back when you posted the vlogs on facebook. Also, my name is in that list. Awww yeaah!
loved this! can't wait for the rest of the ep tomorrow, and hopefully you guys will go on tour soon.. stopping in canada of course! ;) this has put me in such a great mood and as cheesy/lame as it sounds, i feel so fortunate to have your music in my life, it gets me through so much. you guys are the best!
Looks fun, guys. Trying to get the Army to go with Dark Horse for my upcoming EP, so this close-up look at some of the space is awesome. Also just great to learn more about the process on y'all's level. :) AND the album rawked, so it's cool to see it in pieces now, after falling in love with it as a whole.
@mekkobell I think they only went to high school together like he did with Adam young but I could be wrong. In the album ocean eyes by owl city Matt did vocals and duets with Adam
I'm really looking forward to your next record and hope that it will give me new confidence in God like all your albums before "Forget and Not Slow Down". I still regard "Forget and Not Slow Down" as a masterpiece, beautifully arranged and assembled with much love as a complete oevre. Greeting from Germany from one of your biggest fans and thanks for this video :D
Aww.. I opened a Twitter account while they were doing this so I could follow them closer..as if that's not creepy. I remember racing to the computer to watch the podcasts too. I can't believe the album is two-years-old already.
How much time did you spend trying to play a pedal steel? You were in Nashville for gosh sakes! You were absolutely right to have done it, but there are quicker ways. The Joy of the Lord is your strength, for sure.
this makes me super excited to see them play in january :D although i fear that i'm gonna spend way too much time pausing this video trying to look at all the pictures between the cuts in the outtakes at the end haha
8:38 :D 19:02 through 21:13 is pure epicness 22:13, 24:37.. Those are my favorite parts.. By the way guys.. You are amazing! I'm 12 years old and have been listening to you almost my entire life (since I was about 2) I got to see you life August 7th 2012 and you were so amazing! I can't wait for your new album I bet it will be the best one yet :D come to Houston Texas again soon!!!
@RelientKBand i dont know how to ask this without seeming insensitive... so let me just say that you are my favorite band of all time! if ur still online replying to people though, im curious: the lyrics on your last few albums have been less geared toward faith in God... and im just wondering how deliberate that is. i hear a lot of people talking about that and im just wondering... thanks!
wow hard to believe its been 3 years since this album and i've just watched the whole documentary lol. As cliche as this may sound, this album was truly inspiring and the songs really touched me and continues to. Wait was that to cheesy? lol
Watching this in 2023. Still one of the best RK albums of all time. Highly underrated in my opinion. Very rhythmic and dynamic album.
Yeah it really stands out as one of their best. I love it.
I think it absolutely is their best. Haven't listened to all of air for free, so I can't judge that one.
You guys should've done this for Air For Free 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Nicholas, I’m on TH-cam Channel. My channel is Evan Rapp.
Forget and not Slow down itself is literally my official breakup playlist, freaking piece of art
I would say Forget and Not Slow Down is not only my favorite Relient K record, but my favorite record of all time! I've probably watched the making of video 10 times and it still fascinates me every time and helps me to see what I can do for my band to make our own record. #FANSD

I’m on TH-cam Channel. My channel is Evan Rapp.
Still their greatest work to date.
Every time I find a video like this I feel a little happier.
The organic sound is a large part of why this record was so unique and awesome.
This album was brilliantly produced and Relient K is the best.
Quite possibly my favorite album of all time. It was really awesome to have some insight into it. Thanks for this guys
I’m a new fan- only started listening to RK in 2021, but instantly connected with them :)
Yes guys, Forget and Not Slow Down is an AMAZING record. I have no doubt that this next one will also be!! (Eagerly anticipating.)
Watched this documentary a number of times. So good, especially the bass guitar refinement. So freaking good.
Dear Relient K, I'm 19 and you've been my favorite band since I was in middle school. Please come to Abilene, TX where I go to school. Or my backyard. Yes, just come to my backyard.
John Warne, I love the bass lines you come up with! They are awesome and add so much to the songs!!!
Hoopes seems so annoyed when Ethan is shredding on his guitar hahaha
Well trust me, all of the hard work put into this album has paid off. Your sound is so mature, and your lyrics are so real. I've loved you guys for about six years now, and every time that i listen to your songs is as good as the first time.
I seen them play live at creation festival 99 and met the band been a fan ever since and I'm 35 and still love them
Every time I listen to Forget and Not Slow Down, I love it more and more. I can't wait for another full album by Relient K, my favorite band!
Forget and Not Slow Down is probably my favorite album ever recorded, and it's really cool to see how it was made. Thanks for putting this up guys!

This is sweet guys. I don't care that it took two years to be released, I enjoyed you guys enjoying life and music.
This band never ceases to make me smile. :)
I wasn’t even two when this album came out. That almost makes me sad… but at least I can still listen to their stuff!
I'm so happy this is up! Forget and Not Slow Down is one of my favorite albums by Relient K. It's beautifully written and expresses so much emotion. Thank you guys for making not only this album, but every other one. You truly are my favorite band.
what a good bunch of guys. really cool to see how they work together and their creativity in the studio.
the first time i got this album i literally listened to it all the way through 100 times. literally in my itunes library each song had at least 100 plays. after watching this my interest has been renewed for at least 100 more :D thanks for making great music!

Forget and Not Slow Down is my favorite album of theirs. It truly is Relient K at it's best.
Much to everyone's chagrin, FANSD is the first Relient K record I ever bought, not knowing much about their music. Doesn't get better than this. Relient K surprises everytime, in a good way

@thundabolt16sta It was an EP & B Sides collection. Not a studio album

Wow, I really wish i knew the settings that Cale was using at 39:03. One of my favorite shots in this and ever.
I started watching this and then about 20 minutes into it I realized that I had already seen it, back when you posted the vlogs on facebook. Also, my name is in that list. Awww yeaah!

Greeting from Germany from one of your biggest fans and thanks for this video :D
Matt Hoops for the win!! Guitars were so raw on FOrget and Not Slow Down. They sounded so rad on Sahara. best LP yet!
Aww.. I opened a Twitter account while they were doing this so I could follow them closer..as if that's not creepy. I remember racing to the computer to watch the podcasts too. I can't believe the album is two-years-old already.
love this. i always thought the FNSD album was very organic and classic sounding, and i really like it that way :)
good job to cale on the doco.
How much time did you spend trying to play a pedal steel? You were in Nashville for gosh sakes! You were absolutely right to have done it, but there are quicker ways. The Joy of the Lord is your strength, for sure.
It such a good concept to lock in a hut, it probably really keeps you focused. we all saw the musically perfect outcome!!! Thanks RelientK
Watching this made me fall in love with the album all over again. Thanks for rekindling the romance. Wait, that sounds kinda weird.
Here goes an hour of my night.

Does anyone know where the place is in the album cover?
I've heard it's actually a painting, not sure if it's based on anywhere
