Can’t go wrong with either Dalesandros or John’s Roast Pork.
Dalesandros is watery trash that only people from Roxbourough like
Dalesandros use to be good now they charge arm & a leg for a cheesesteak
dalASSandro’s is like eating a wet diaper
Ang johns dels in that order
@@Gus414 😂😂😂dalASSandro’s is the worst steak in America. Ya’ll are high…..
Another reason to love Kelce! I've been going to Delassandro's for over 40yrs.
Sorry to hear that. I’ve had better in prison
@@johnnybrix717Damn bro! It can’t be that bad😂
@@braveheartmoe001quality has fallen off now that their big time. Being from roxborough it was once the best in the city
@@jcb5942 That’s true, only restaurants who stick with their roots and don’t change their methods are the ones who stand the test of time. I’m from NYC but every time I get a chance to go to Philly I try a new Cheese steak spot, the one i tried here wasn’t memorable
Taste like dog food. Angelo’s is by far the best.
Angelo's for sure...go AJ, Go AJ🎉💚🎉
The papi store
no, dalessandros
Delasanndros was a surprising answer from Kelce…Damn he don’t do anything wrong.
It’s not surprising Delasandros has won Phillys best cheesesteak a few times
@@boomersoonertd8854 Delasandros is like that old man that played highschool football. Sucks now but will always talk about the good old days when they were able to compete. Literally the worst cheesesteak in Philly
@@jlee9360cannnot say the worst cheesesteak in Philly when pats and genos exists 💀
@@Zeus-vi5zk If you had all 3 in front in a blind taste test you would find that delassandros is literally the worst. Its gritty frozen cheese. Tasteless ground meat is not something i find appealing in a cheesesteak. Yes pats and Genos sucks compared to the better places but they are both superior to delassandros.
It’s not better than Angelo’s bro
Jim's on South Street is the best. Most people go to Pat's or Geno's. Dalesandro's or Steve's Prince of Steaks are pretty good too.
Nah, I've been there twice. Cuts of meat and onions and cheese on point but it's the most bland I've ever had. Angelos is my personal favorite as of right now but still on my quest for better
All garbage

@@malekemccurry4991they are rebuilding it, should be open next year or so. Fire damage.

Steve’s Prince of steaks in the naughtiest that’s a sandwich I grew up on
Had to scroll too far to see my favorite
People who say bodegas have never left their neighborhood 😂
To be fair even a bodega cheesesteak in philly is better than a cheesesteak almost anywhere else. Whenever out of towners ask me where to go I always say the same thing “anything taste’s better than the shit your used to”
@@usefulprogrammer9880what about it would be different ? Lol

Bodega is a New York thing we say Poppi store in Philly
My bodega steak isn't the best in the city but it does cost $6.50. The truth is that while most people are passionate about their favorite spot, the average dude probably gets more steaks from their corner store than anywhere else
I know it’s commercial or whatever, but Tony Luke’s has never let me down. I know it ain’t anything crazy, but super consistent.
Tony Luke’s is good. I think they got 1 in stadium. It was 🔥
Chicken cutlet is there best...
hell of a cutlet and the quality at other non philly locations is still good
Tony used to be good before commercialization. They’re consistent with their food still but it just doesn’t taste the same
Funny story about Tony Luke's.. a few years back they opened a location in Bucks County, and people, including me, were standing in line to get the magical Tony Luke's cheesesteak. After standing in line for 20 minutes - just to place an order (no phone orders allowed) - then another 20 minutes waiting for the food, I got 2 cheesesteaks and a fries - for $42!!!!! And that was before COVID and inflation. The kicker was, it was absolutely no better than any other cheesesteak around here, but it was twice the price. They didn't stay in business out here for long.
Max's is the true answer.
@BigRelly1 man I had a bad steak there last year. The ribeye was absolutely terrible
@BigRelly1 but before that, all good experiences
Exactly
Exactly and the Eagles bar right next door 🦅🦅🦅
@@therealbrodric Considering they don't use ribeye i'm going to call this cap.
Gooey Looey good to and it's around the corner from the linc
Gooey Louies is trash
Dalessandros or John's Roast Pork. Those are the two places I took my wife when we vacationed back in Philly so I could show her the city.
I actually haven’t had John’s yet!
. John's is def up there👌👍
@thephillyspecialshow I did it's just a sandwich I went once and didn't care to go back it was almost like everyone else's in a way.. I think Roccos make better steaks 😅
John's is good Delessandros is hot garbage. I wouldn't take anyone their. Honestly probably one of the worst cheesesteaks in philly.
facts i heard it was fire but when i got it i swear could be one of the worst i've had@@jlee9360
North it’s Steve’s ..south it’s John’s Roast Pork.
Great response. John roast Pork is the best, but Northeast Steve's is what's up
Mama's on Belmont...the CHICKEN cheesesteaks, yup! Larry's on 33rd, or down on South Street....Ishkabibbles.
That gremlin drink be hitting on a hot summer day
Larry's is not good, Ishkabibbles is hit or miss. Best steaks is def Angelo's, John's, Max's in no particular order.
... heard about Ishkibible's from d.j. D-Nice. Never tried it though. Don't get to Philadelphia much anymore. When iii did, Pat's was the first spot.
Ishkabibbles is hands down the worst!!. Bro, their horrible
@geneporreca3848 Ish's used to be the 💣 back in the day, like way back. I can't speak on them now, but I don't doubt u as we know things can change & usually do🤷♂️
For the longest time it was D’Alessandros, but over the past year…. Angelos took the crown. There’s a reason everything sells out by 5 pm and they open at 11:00 am 😂.
Paganos on 77th & Ogontz

Steve's Prince of Steaks
After hearing raves about that place I went to the one in Fairless Hills about 12 years ago. It was literally the worst cheesesteak I've ever had.
Besides the bodegas the best cheesesteak I have ever had period is at Angelos. That's the best cheesesteak in the city and one of the better sandwiches I've had at a pizza joint.

Roccos Jim's and the place kelce said are solid places... the place kelce said always has a long line though
Jesus Nick you’ve been here for almost four years and you take them to the biggest tourist trap in Philadelphia
Johns roast pork. Amazing!
Everyone knows gooey Louie is a Markie staple since the 40s
Fr gooey Louie’s is the best
Jesus Christ. The only good thing about gooey Louie’s is you get 4 pounds of meat for like $6. The steak itself is subpar.
Subpar and goooey Louie don't mix like oil and water. I've had Subpar like paganos off ogontz ave. Stringy cheap meat. But gooey is a Philly staple. If you have 3 better spots I would love to hear them. Please
@@MrDebo19832003 3 better spots than there? Seriously? Angelo’s, JRP, Cafe Carmela, Oh Brother, Max’s, Lillos, Meatheads, cockledoodle Dans, the list goes on. I used to live on 8th and McClellan, I’ve eaten enough Gooey Louie’s to know it’s not a great tasting steak.
@chrisdanks741 Max's fell off years ago. They are nothing like they use to be in the 90s and early 2000s. Having been to Angelo's but now I will try them. These other places you mention have to be local spots. These aren't well known cheesestesk staple spots
Steves Prince of Steaks was where I went when I visited from Montana.
How u not a fan of the Philly Cheeseteak? Bro trippin 😂😂😂
He from south Louisiana he not impressed with them lil sammiches😆
A lot of people who aren’t from Philly aren’t fans of cheesesteaks.

We don't care about cheese steaks down here
I’m from Miami and I just had Dalessandro’s yesterday while in Philly. Awesome food!
John's roast pork
Johns Roast Pork is the Best!! Geno's ain't bad. It's for people who have never been to Philly. Geno's is better than Pat's. Dalessondros sucks. Steve's Prince of Steaks is banging too. But John's Roast Pork hands down.Jim's near 63rd Street was great. The First Jim's place. Don't know if it's still open though.
John's Roast Pork is by far the best in Philly
I'm listening to kelce.Big dudes know what taste best.1 more year.
Delasandros, jims, and ishkabibble's, surprised ish is getting this slept on
Delassandro's is the best I've had. Need to try Max's
Bruh. Delassandro's is literally the worst cheesesteak in Philly. I would take Geno's over it any day and Geno's is bad.
aj is a man of the people for that
They did Geno’s dirty. There are different styles of the Philly cheese. Steak but I would never publicly on national television down a business that’s been around for many years. That’s a travesty. These businesses have been working hard for many years to serve their customers. I have my favorites in Philly but I don’t talk down on the others. I actually love the variety.
Nothing bad about Geno’s or Pat’s.
Totally agree.
Geno’s is a classic. That’s where I went when I did my Philly cheesesteak run in high school lol 😊
That's cuz you're not from Philly 😂
@@bryancole4022 lol for sure! we drove 3.5 hours on a Friday and got back in time lol

It's wild to me that John's isn't talked about when it's clearly the best one by a mile.
Joe's steaks is really good
I grew up on Jim’s, since I’ve been blessed to grow up around the corner from the one in West Philadelphia “and the best one if I might add “… Another favorite “Larry’s “ on CityLine, my wife is from Harlem and when we come to Philly this is are go to spot ..
PS. One time she ordered cheesesteaks for a week straight, and I didn’t complain 😒😋
Why are people sleeping on Paganos
That's my spot and when I want a hoagie I go to the hoagie factory not far from there.
Word my family been going there since I was younger
@@panamaking22 Me too

John's Roast Pork or Lorenzo's for white cheese pizza
I think if he had taken them somewhere, not in philly, then yes thats definitely a fireable offense. In my opinion, Mr. Nick is on a short leash with philly, so all of his decisions are critical 🤣🤣🤣
😂🤣
Now living in New Mexico. I would settle for a Wawa. I so miss the northeast food.
LARRY’s!!!!
Larry's on 33rd used to be my spot!
John’s Roast Pork…da best!!!
Gooey louie
Woooooooooooooow!!!! From Philly and living in Los Angeles now and you just took me baaaaaaaaack with that one!!!!😂

Nah, he should have walked across the street to Pat’s💀 Best place to get a cheesesteak😎
JK is on point!!!! ❤❤❤❤ I’m born and raised in Philly, lifelong D’Alessandro’s yeah, that the place.
Geno’s is for travelers.
It's a toss up for me D'alessandros or steves. Both fire.
Any poppy store steak is better than all of them
Should have taken them to Vicky's in Eddystone, PA, and Michael's in Woodlyn, PA. Both places have fantastic owners and staff, with great cheesesteaks and food. Would not have been disappointed Blessings.
Delisandro's and it's not even close 😂
Someone said it’s like dog food, can’t even lie.
@6oulx615 yeah right lmao have u ate there before? Go there right now and there is a line up and around the corner for a reason. It's like this everyday of the year. They ain't lining up for dog food lol
@@mmafights8064 I've eaten there multiple times. They used to be good but in the past 5 years they've literally turned into dog food. I wouldn't recommend this place to my enemies.
Honorable mention Claymont Steak Shop Claymont DE. But Genoa and pats are like the souvenir shops in the airport. Jim’s…. Easy as that.
Bro Im from Cali and you go to Ishkabibble's then you go to Delassandro's. Hahaha!! Bro should get fined every season for that move!! #Bang Bang Niner Gang!!

@@thephillyspecialshow very underrated and I even went to 4th St Delicatessen even they are way better than Genos
Gazzo’s in Pottstown. The best.
Genos and Pat's ares are places people go when they are visiting or from outta town. Literally, any papi store has the basic Philly recipe. Spk fried onions mayo- 🚫 cheese wiz is a sin bro
well all of them are from outta town, and if they don't win this season then consider them just visiting to.
Bro spk mayo is the bodega special. Whiz onions is a Philly cheesesteak.
Geno's needs to chop it up because it taste better mixed. The ingredients do not matter as much as how it's presented.
You know nothing about a real cheesesteak if u want that shit chopped up! They do that bc they use cheep meat! Genos uses ribeye and it's so tender it doesn't need to look like a ground beef sandwich! Smfh!
The best cheesesteak place in reality is one out of the 3 closest pizzerias to your house. Whoever makes the best of those 3 is the best to you. The nice thing about cheesesteaks is that they’re pretty hard to screw up. Good bread, a good cut of meat like sliced ribeye or whatever you prefer, fried onions and your favorite melter cheese. It ain’t that difficult. Certainly not so difficult that any local pizzeria couldn’t make a competitively good one.
1000% Jim's is the real one. Pat and genos for the scene
Steve's Prince of Steaks is obviously the best.
CLEAVER’s IS MY GO TO (bc i like the selection and the steak) But Angelo’s is top3 also
John's Roast Pork, or any corner Papi store😂
I'm an original Jim's guy. Not the one on South, but the original Jim's on 62nd Street in West Philly! Those who know, KNOW!
Wolf St Pizza. But I'm from South Philly and i grew up off of Ms Lee's 16th & Wharton St
Honestly, its all good. Mostly, but I do have a soft spot for pudges cheesesteak pottstown pa
Angelo’s, John’s Roast pork, and Cafe Carmela
Right across the street… Pat’s the KING of steaks…
Rocky Balboa standing in line with Mr. Gazzo in Rocky 1 tells you all you need to know.
Wrong. They are both tourist traps.
I love a cheese steak just as much as the next Philly native, but i usually take friends who arent from around here to get pork sandwiches with broccoli rabe and sharp provolone. I kind of got tired of cheese steaks from years of grabbing them after going to games.
JRP, Angelos, Oh Brother, Cafe Carmela, Lillos. Those are your options for best steaks the city (and its surrounding area) has to offer. Anything else is cutting yourself short.
It's over in South Jersey..
Gaetano's in Willingboro
I’m with Jason Kelce. Grew up with D’Allesandros.
I’m a 49ers fan I went to Philly week 13 the sandwiches from delasandros made the heckling well worth it

How to pick a cheesesteak place for your first cheesesteak.... 1. If you've heard of the place before, don't go there, it's a tourist trap. 2. Go anyplace else, preferably a small out of the way pizza shop.
Johns Roast Pork is the best one I've had. But as a teenager I found myself on South St alot so I dont think you can go wrong with Jims.
Shout out to Donkey's across the river too.

John’s for roast pork, Delessandros for a “Philly cheesesteak” but Donkeys in Camden is the TRUE best cheesesteak…end of conversation
The original cheese steak Pat's that's my favorite I had my very first cheese steak there and they invented the cheese steak
There's a ton of great places out in chester. Yeah it's the hood, but the cheesesteaks are OUTSTANDING!!
Larry’s on 54th st across from Saint Joes on the city’s west side in wynnefield
Max's is good. Used to live near there so I had plenty of chances to get a cheesesteak from them, but they're usually too pricy. City view was just as good. And there's this place in lansdowne (don't remember the name) that had a pretty great cheesesteak
Went to Philly last year for the first time to catch the Eagles and Dolphins game. I asked around before I went up and ended going to Dalesandros. Good God that was the best cheesesteak I’ve ever had.
