Fun fact. Fearmonger armor removes the summoner penalty while wearing it while silva doesn't. I just downed Yharon with it using the death scicle upgrade. 👍 great guide man. Hopefully the calamity devs gift us with some post moonlord whips next update.
Before we get more whips, summons have to be tones back/all other classes beed some gwavy compensation because while I support Unnoficial Calamity Whips, the mod proves that summoner in its current state can't get more whipes, otherwise it becomes the best class in the game by a mile. Still, I use UCW because I smile every time I decimate Yharon and SCal with broken as hell whips
Mirror of kalandra can last very well until scal/exo. A full warding build + 4 mirror summons + 2 yharon can trivialise both final bosses completely as it do up to 50k dps and is really tanky
Tactical plague engine is also arguably the best summon pre providence. Even if you dont like it that much, it still worth summoning at least 1 + a certain type of bullets to inflict debuffs Also, lunar portal staff is better than sanction spark after 1.4.4 in terms of both dmg and ability to hit the enemy, because the calamity devs apparently forgot to nerf it so its more in line with the progression for some reason.
Also, this is very theoretical, but firecracker + dark harvest + durendal + kaleidoscope stacking should work very well with the mini yharon summons since the minions doesnt hit that fast
Is the deepsea staff good for in between mechs and plantera good or no? I managed to get it before hardmode cuz i did a progression skip and managed to kill aquatic scourge early
The Wall of Flesh drops an item that gives you a 6th slot aftet you consume it. Moon Lord drops an item that gives you a 7th slot too. To get them you must be playing on Expert or Master mode

The Dazzling Stabber Staff is also a very good option; with it, Signus and Star Weaver were very easy.

You are looking at the wrong wiki. Only the wiki.gg is up to date, the Spirit Glyph only requires you diamonds and obsidian.

Yeah it's good, but I'd say better get the Daedalus Golem staff after you beat Cryogen and all mechs

You are mistaking it for the Star tainted generator.
You can get Starbuster core from a Stellar Culex once you have defeated Astrum Aureus

For Mothron to spawn you need to beat Plantera, not Golem
