The white, however, refers to the more positive side thinking about all the power and how far you've come. However it is also doing what the red warns, being greedy and wanting more power, encouraging you to continue passing limits and finish the test

I think that the two voices in this song represent the two main aspects of this strange detity, it's grace and it's wrath. The first voice is soft spoken and seems to be encouraging you throughout the battle, though in a strange and almost mischievous way. This first half wants you to succeed and seems to believe that you will do the right thing with the power you gain from it. The second voice represents the dety's wrath and judgement toward both you and humanity as a whole. This voice speaks of entropy and destruction, almost ROARING for your destruction. This aspect of the deity doesn't think that you or anyone else is worthy of its power and wants you to fail utterly before even coming close to passing the test. The compromise to these conflicting viewpoints? A hard as nails boss battle with an incredible soundtrack!

I'd say the wrathful voice was Noxus, as they were the opposite of Xeroc, explaining their "EPICENTER OF ENTROPY" line, As I recall hearing that Noxus is the god of entropy, I think.
"A reflection of how far you've come" feels like a callback to "You've seen how far they've come" in Calamitas' theme, showing she was right to fear you.

Infernum will NOT include addon bosses such as Astralgeldon, Goozma, Noxus, and Nameless Deity. The mode is finished with bosses anyway. As for The Lorde it will never be canon..
The fact that Nameless Diety is basically an incoherent collage of images like Omega Flowey, symbolizing its "Godlyness" as the God of Terraria Calamity Mod (atleast in the old lore of the game), makes him probably my favorite boss design I've seen in a while. The song and censor are the cherry on top Truly one of the gods of all times
The idea that the 'old' god of scrapped lore somehow forced himself back is also doubly amusing, like you can't just write it out of the story anymore, and the only reason why it refuses to interfere with the current lore is because it has no real interest, until you decided to add the mod back in and seek it, and now it's making you pay the price of disturbing its disinterested rest.

i know this was 6 months ago but the art style of the boss itself and the ever changing design kind of gives off a vibe of it being incomprehensible, like god himself. to a person in the terraria universe, this thing is incomprehensible.

Everyone talk about omega flowey vibe, but this Xeroc design - Godly creature with censored face and his his whole theme, lyrics and the corrupted voice, his lore item that is literally personalized for everyone gives me strong Mandella Catalogue vibes too
But Xeroc created the terrarian if this is old lore. I got that from fandom I just looked at the old Edits before it was greefed dont worry i use wiki gg. Flores helped also, You have the Goldly Auric soul that has a part of Xeroc and maybe Noxus. So That's why u can have godlike strangth,, respawn, use celestial wepions and ect. The player fighting what looks like the actual supreme being of terraria is insane. And the entity viewing this entire fight as a "test" instead of an actual all out fight means the entity has more up its sleave than what we were presumed to believe.
I honestly believe namless is making the fight fair in what it believes is "fair". Also like to think that it could, if it really wanted to just completely erase you from existence if it felt like it but it doesn't because I mean, whats the point? Namless did say that the world was suppose to be "fair or balanced or something along those lines".

@@triggerhappy4199 Old, defunct engines are still very usable. One just needs to not suck. At least, with engines made from the late 2000's. Going back further, you begin to reach some major limitations. Even better if the engine's open enough to modify things yourself, I imagine Terraria would actually run *worse* if it were to switch to a more full-featured engine. It's also possible to expand on other engines, as we saw a lot with idTech. Essentially, what I think of when I think new Terraria engine is quite literally just re-writing Terraria with its own custom engine. Who knows, maybe the final final FINAL update will just be releasing the source code in a GPL license like what happened with idTech (up to idTech5)?

I feel like the "generic evil voice" is ment to be what most of the Gods in Calamity lore chose to do - steal their power from an Auric Soul, then become the God-King-Emperor of whatever, while the calmer voice is more like that of the Nameless Diety, a semi-benevolent creator god, or Apotheosis (from the verdant mod), who just wanted to make a big ol garden and set spirits free - both of _them_ ascended through natural (but not described) methods, and don't really seek followers.
This boss is honestly a pretty good one. Really fair, has well choreographed attacks, no one hit kills, and punishes you for foul play (such as rod of harmony and cheat sheet, they make you live up to their fair standard) They also have a bangin' theme and high difficulty. It really reverses some of what people have come to expect from high difficulty.
Seeing stuff like this always makes me wonder, how the hell do you top this? An uncomprehensible god above all with insane visuals, a song that goes hard as hell, and probably one of the best designs for a "being above all" I've seen. How do you top that? But every time, you give the modding community like 2 weeks and they will make something 10 times better, I love this community, but damn does it have to make so many bangers, i can only play so many.
When the slashes phase came and showed the title screen and code that's when I got the omega flowey vibes. And with sending you back to the title screen with the new background and all the loading text saying "You have passed the test." It was awesome.
although it isn't a particularly hard boss it definitely one of the most eye candy bosses in terraria and definitely some awesome sound choices for the black hole and purple nuke beam I was able to beat it with summoner and range took me 3 attempts each and 4 attempts on my mage. for sure one of my favorites
I thought I was the only one that noticed that. When I finished the fight, I was not expecting to be actually booted back to the title screen, and I was spooked down to my core when it showed nothing but "You have passed the test."
considering the last lines are "now all you have to do is finish what you started" + getting a tiny seed that destroys your entire world makes sense to me now
the design of the boss and all this mod itself is hella SICK, and the song of the fight, fits perfectly with the fight against the Deity i just felt a lot of motivation while i was hearing this song, truly a masterpiece
I like that it’s visuals are not pixelated. Just think, in the realms of the terrarian and the world of terraria as a whole, this thing is completely alien, unknowable, confusing, incomprehensible. And I can’t tell if the attacks are in a similar style but if they’re in this more photo style then it also gives giygas vibes in you’re literally unable to comprehend what’s even damaging you, just that it is. No idea if that was the intent but if it was that’s genius. And I don’t know, I don’t know the lore, but to me it feels as if the lyrics are coming from a place of “I know this, cus I’ve lived it” “When you ascend past yourself you WILL gaze down below” “You WILL never be the same again” The use of you will makes me think that which could be interesting Also at 2:13 I like that the main menu screen flashes up for a second

But I just wanna say that I can tell they took inspiration from kirby's return to dreamland magolor fight, even using one of the exact same sound effects and some similar attacks. And I just wanna say, that is absolutely not a bad thing god damn I love this!
This is it, the finale of Calamity. Even when the Yharim update comes and you finally slay the Tyrant, when including add-ons, this is the finale. You have ascended beyond almost EVERYTHING, and now only the Deity is left
I love how the voices convey feelings and power the first voice conveys gritty and strong feelings and speaks in "riddles and games" while the 2nd stronger voice conveys judgement strength and overall power when they are talking about the flowers that is hinting to the garden of eden when they say to the "flowers they pray" the flowers are the gift of life and blooming of life.When the voices say there are things you aren't meant to see that is protrayed by the deitys face being censored becuase you cant comprehend it's face and when it says you will never be the same again because the things you have went through and seen transcends our understanding and comprehension. At the start when the deity made a slice and that changed the background that shows the reality bending powers of the deity Christian god is like the nameless deity becuase god isn't a name it is a title the nameless deity also isn't a name it is a title . the he garden of eden is in the bible and when you use the terminus after beating that one boss (i forgot😅) it brings you to a place that looks like the garden of eden or atleast a depiction of it with the information we have about it. I love the term "you feel above yourself" and "when you ascend past yourself" it really puts into perspective of how powerful you've become you have slain beings that had the entire universe in their grasp. It can also fit the feeling of being in the presence of a literal reality bender such as Xeroc

Hearing this theme, I'm confused. I only saw the gameplay of the boss for a minute, so i thought it was a joke boss. But now I hear the theme and it's a masterpiece.
This is an analysis of what it means to be a creator, and the cyclical nature of creation, as well as examining the player's dynamic in this as being a bringer of this cycle through progressing this game. It's a song about how as you keep trying to be greater than who you are through art, you lose yourself, becoming incomprehensible to everyone around you. Forced to speak in your creations, riddles and games, to express yourself, after seeing what you're not meant to. And how, through creations, you expose others to art, what is above the rest of the world, inspiring them to do the same, eventually usurping your place. In the song, the Nameless Deity is representative of the creator, and the player of a new creator taking their place.
never played terraria but i feel this is less of a fight but more of a friendly game of tag. if you were a immortal powerful god and your character has done THIS much to take on one. i feel the nameless diety is treating this as a test and a game more then a fight to the death. making you understand that this is a test of strength.
I can't help but get Welcome Your New Overlord/C-R-O-W-N-E-D vibes from this track, and I love the feeling that it gives off! (Probably also because some sound effects from those bosses are used in Nameless Diety's fight.)

I'd say the wrathful voice was Noxus, as they were the opposite of Xeroc, explaining their "EPICENTER OF ENTROPY" line, As I recall hearing that Noxus is the god of entropy, I think.

The player fighting what looks like the actual supreme being of terraria is insane. And the entity viewing this entire fight as a "test" instead of an actual all out fight means the entity has more up its sleave than what we were presumed to believe.
I honestly believe namless is making the fight fair in what it believes is "fair". Also like to think that it could, if it really wanted to just completely erase you from existence if it felt like it but it doesn't because I mean, whats the point? Namless did say that the world was suppose to be "fair or balanced or something along those lines".

At least, with engines made from the late 2000's. Going back further, you begin to reach some major limitations.
Even better if the engine's open enough to modify things yourself, I imagine Terraria would actually run *worse* if it were to switch to a more full-featured engine.
It's also possible to expand on other engines, as we saw a lot with idTech.
Essentially, what I think of when I think new Terraria engine is quite literally just re-writing Terraria with its own custom engine. Who knows, maybe the final final FINAL update will just be releasing the source code in a GPL license like what happened with idTech (up to idTech5)?

I feel like the "generic evil voice" is ment to be what most of the Gods in Calamity lore chose to do - steal their power from an Auric Soul, then become the God-King-Emperor of whatever, while the calmer voice is more like that of the Nameless Diety, a semi-benevolent creator god, or Apotheosis (from the verdant mod), who just wanted to make a big ol garden and set spirits free - both of _them_ ascended through natural (but not described) methods, and don't really seek followers.

Really fair, has well choreographed attacks, no one hit kills, and punishes you for foul play (such as rod of harmony and cheat sheet, they make you live up to their fair standard)
They also have a bangin' theme and high difficulty.
It really reverses some of what people have come to expect from high difficulty.

Seeing stuff like this always makes me wonder, how the hell do you top this? An uncomprehensible god above all with insane visuals, a song that goes hard as hell, and probably one of the best designs for a "being above all" I've seen. How do you top that? although it isn't a particularly hard boss it definitely one of the most eye candy bosses in terraria and definitely some awesome sound choices for the black hole and purple nuke beam I was able to beat it with summoner and range took me 3 attempts each and 4 attempts on my mage. for sure one of my favorites
I like how the boss looks understandable and complicated in the same time, it gives off a combination of everything.
I love in that slashing attack it does at 2:03 you can see it break in the very fabric of game reality, showing flashes of the title screen.
I thought I was the only one that noticed that. When I finished the fight, I was not expecting to be actually booted back to the title screen, and I was spooked down to my core when it showed nothing but "You have passed the test."

I like that it’s visuals are not pixelated. Just think, in the realms of the terrarian and the world of terraria as a whole, this thing is completely alien, unknowable, confusing, incomprehensible. And I can’t tell if the attacks are in a similar style but if they’re in this more photo style then it also gives giygas vibes in you’re literally unable to comprehend what’s even damaging you, just that it is. I love how the voices convey feelings and power the first voice conveys gritty and strong feelings and speaks in "riddles and games" while the 2nd stronger voice conveys judgement strength and overall power when they are talking about the flowers that is hinting to the garden of eden when they say to the "flowers they pray" the flowers are the gift of life and blooming of life.When the voices say there are things you aren't meant to see that is protrayed by the deitys face being censored becuase you cant comprehend it's face and when it says you will never be the same again because the things you have went through and seen transcends our understanding and comprehension. At the start when the deity made a slice and that changed the background that shows the reality bending powers of the deity Christian god is like the nameless deity becuase god isn't a name it is a title the nameless deity also isn't a name it is a title . the he garden of eden is in the bible and when you use the terminus after beating that one boss (i forgot😅) it brings you to a place that looks like the garden of eden or atleast a depiction of it with the information we have about it. never played terraria but i feel this is less of a fight but more of a friendly game of tag. if you were a immortal powerful god and your character has done THIS much to take on one. i feel the nameless diety is treating this as a test and a game more then a fight to the death. making you understand that this is a test of strength.
That is indeed pretty much what it is lorewise. You play by the deity's rules even in this fight, and it's really just a way for it to test you.

I know i commented twice already on this vid (all be it one of them being for a "mission") but i love when a game with an pixelated art style has a hyper realistic boss, sure you can comprehend it but your player character can't, makes the boss look much more lovecraftion.
