  • This video is my (modified) one square challenge. Rules are as follows:
Have 3 unopened bundles, open and lay them by yourself while creating your stair step.
THAT'S IT! Make sure you have all your metal on and plenty of starter laid so that you don't need to mess with anything but bundles, coils and your knife/hammer. Post your video with the #onesquarechallenge hashtag so we can all see and hopefully learn something new from you. No matter how good or how bad you think you did, we will all love to watch! Thank you! Like, subscribe, and hit the bell.

No harness, no rope, it's guys like this that ruin the reps of other roofers. Especially when your doing all your cuts on the inside where it's supposed to be factory edges. I watched a few of this guys vids and man o man would the company who manufactures the shingles have a field day not warrantying his roof jobs, workmanship would but manufactures warranty would be void for sure. I seen him a few times in his vids where his nails ain't in the line. Your not fast unless you do it right 100% Including the safety parts of roofing, harness and rope wether its 3/12 or 12/12. I can't wait to post some vids.

Can't wait to post videos lol that's what they all say. Send me one time stamp where my nail isn't in the line! It doesn't exist, I'm major on quality. Every single nail is in the common bond. At most 1 per shingle might be slightly high but that's why I 5 nail instead of 4 nail (which my area requires). Also, are you claiming that non factory seems void a warranty on a roof? Because I can assure you they don't! I can name at least 2 different scenarios off the top of my head, where non factory seems are a must, in order to preserve the best quality for the roof. If it's aloud in those scenarios, it's aloud anywhere as long as it's done correctly. My cuts are straight enough that you can't tell it's been cut. Shingle aren't like siding or flooring rookie. There's no connecting edge, therefore, you can do a better job by not being force fed factory connections. Obviously I do them where it makes sense to. But I'm also not going to do anything that is nonsensical, like waste time trying to keep factory to factory on a starting edge where it doesn't make a difference
