Roofing on a Walker needs a gun in your hand, a knife in your pocket, and as long as you have a good gun and well managed compressor pressure you only need a hammer nearby. Nails can be spread out strategically so that they're nearby when needed and with experience you can place your hose in the right spot that you won't knock off many if any at all.. if you like that extra dumb weight by all means keep the dang bags on. in order to nail like this ...you have to increase the pressure of the air compressor...so half of those nails are too deep inside the shingle. Good technique by the way ...decrease the pressure , you'll nail slower but your nails will be just at the right dept.
What in the hell did I just read. We use a rollair Gas compressor. Never had to increase anything. 6 of us nail like this at once hooked up to the same compressor with no issues, all nails at the right dept.

As a retired GC, I could care less how fast you can lay shingles. I saw a lot of guys who were fast and a lot of guys who were good, but just a few who were fast AND good. Way more important to do it right than to do it fast.

Yep. He's quick. I'm not too shabby, but i like running out the horizontal farther. I'll run 3 rows (or whatever i can reach comfortably) across at a time. Then move up n do it again.
You do realize that 3 bundles make 1 square? Straight gravy runs.... like a garbage, 3 square an hour is easy. You ain't making money if you're doin anything less.
Fredrick Ring you must be a slower roofer then because 15 bundles (5 square) an hour is nowhere near impossible. That comes out to 1 bundle every 4 minutes which is totally doable if you shingle at a decent pace. I mean hell, we just watched the guy in the video above lay down about a square in 4.5 minutes!
Make sure even if your the only one hooked up to the compressor add a extra take to get more presure in the hose and not let the gun lag or not nail correctly like a couple of times but besides that nice nailing you must be charging somewhere between 40 too 45 per square
rob mcdonald for roofing for 25 years you probably need to go get your eyes checked and actually watch more than the first min of the video . Thanks for the opinion though

I would tell him to slow the gun down a touch, put the dang nails where they go (at least 3 or 4 out 5 lets be real roofers here!), or come watch me do it. he's an animal for sure. but if you watch my videos, the nail placement is always correct, and I'm not blasting through the shingles as quickly as I can. anybody can slap on a square like this in no time w/o good quality and if that's all the point to this video was then well done.. but can you hold that pace all day? even for half a day, it won't last long believe me. slow is smooth, smooth is fast. good luck out there bud and shingle on!
Haters
THE ROOFER WITH NO POUCH .LOL
@@principexyno yes sir LMAO I'm sure you've watched my other videos and saw me siding or framing with TOOL BAGS ON. tool bags require a few tools to be worth wearing. This guy didn't need a hammer or a knife... therefore...he carried around that pouch weight for no reason lol it'll wear on you throughout the day and the week. But watch me blowout these roofers next weekend in my own shingling competition and let's see how you really feel
fuck off weirdo
@@franktib says the guy with a shy child as his profile picture... and liked videos are popular break dance moves from the 90's...btw.. if at 10 yrs old you didn't learn how to do the flare from your dad in the kitchen you don't need to learn now lol
in order to nail like this ...you have to increase the pressure of the air compressor...so half of those nails are too deep inside the shingle.
Good technique by the way ...decrease the pressure , you'll nail slower but your nails will be just at the right dept.
Roofing Solutions by Eric Garcia no you don’t, it’s called a gas compressor
What in the hell did I just read. We use a rollair Gas compressor. Never had to increase anything. 6 of us nail like this at once hooked up to the same compressor with no issues, all nails at the right dept.
What the hell does increased pressure have to do with nailing speed? If you have the right compressor it's not an issue.
Finally a real shingle who is actually fast not just claiming
Dude is talented. Nail placement is good and right on target
World's fastest shinglers channel he was giving away a 100 dollar gift card to speedway for video entries....this guy could have won....
I like this kind of guys ...this is they way they give me lots of jobs fixing there mistakes ... because no one wants back to fix it
6 nail per shingles uuuuhhhh ???
Gotta love them bostich nailers.! Good work.! Keep it between the lines brotha!!! 🤘
Ridgid is lighter and a little faster
@@dillonnj45l.18 Lol Rigid coil nailers may be lighter but they are junk.Dont last very long if you lay many squares everyday. If you only do shed roofs on the weekends you may be ok with rigid..lol Hitachi is ok but when they wear they shoot the nails in crooked...bostich is best.Especially for the price...My opinion.
@@Shift1dwn5up ive only done 600+ squares on the ridgid gun so far it's been great other than it doesn't shoot ridge cap nails for shit jams every other nail its lightweight and faster than any other gun ive used but we'll see how long it last
@@Shift1dwn5up but you are right the bostitch are great never a problem with them
Hitachis are the fastest, or they were a few years back. I have both, the bostitch is slower and more cumbersome somehow. I have thousands of hours on both. The bostitch is like a truck and the hitachi is like a motorcycle.
Calls Boss man before he gets to job site
"Yes sir I've finished shingling the roof can I go home for the day?"
Boss: "The fuck? It's only 9:30 in the morning!
Damn home boi sound like he going to war the way that gum sounds.
No se trata de aserlo muy rápido se trata de que lo hagas correctamente es mi opinión Dios bendiga a toda las personas que pasen su trabajo correctamente.
Would love to see the overall end of the job probably not straight no nail in the end the but ends look gap. Would love to see that nail pattern and how many shiners he gets.
Putting opened bundles every 6 feet or so definitely helps so your not running around the place for shingles
He’s fast and on the line👍❗️
Lifetime dimentionals are 4 bundles per square. Nice
GODAMN THIS IS FAST AND PERFECT GOOD JOB PARTNER
I dont get why he puts the first nail in later but I like how he works, I do it the same the nailer comes with a gauge so we use it fastest way
@layne stayley learn how to fucking spell before you call me an idiot
@layne stayley fucking crackhead mom jokes are in the past you fucking 10 year old
He misses end nail u cam say he gets it on the next run up but he didnt
Only guy I seen so far that comes too me.
Right!
Those safety lines should have a tensioner so there's not so much slack. If he fell he might as well hit the ground instead of hanging upside down 1ft from the ground.
God dam he is good better roofer than any that I’ve seen , fast and nails are where there supposed to go way to go primo
Great job! One of the best I've seen!
Nice work man. Good nail placement, using the guage, and fast.
Pero ni un clavo pone vien
Nice 👍
He's the fastest guy I have ever seen
Just enough safety line to hit the ground 😂 but seriously though, homie can throw down! That’s impressive
As a retired GC, I could care less how fast you can lay shingles. I saw a lot of guys who were fast and a lot of guys who were good, but just a few who were fast AND good. Way more important to do it right than to do it fast.
That's about how I used to do it. But he should of just took that run straight up....
Great work!
Don't put the gun down,is the trick to going super fast. Like this guy, I was ridiculously fast. God bless him
Yes. But this guy is on another level. Perfect nail line and pattern. Lining em up quick. Best and fastest ive ever seen
best I have seen. On the line every time.
Package says 4 nails. 5 is 25% waste. Could go even faster not having to reload so often
Could be code, In my area we have allot of extremely high winds and code calls for minimum 5, allot of guys do 6
@@jonathanvoigt2690 That code is bullshit. 4 is plenty
@@robdonna1000 lmfao
This guy really is one of the best.
Anybody know what manufacturer of the gun he is using? I’m a retired journeyman electrician so my hats off to any tradesman. Jeez…he even changed the coil of nails fast!
@@funnyharleyman Bostich
Lucky you get houses like that 👌🏽
One man wrecking crew, roof the whole neighborhood solo.
In a day!
I'm so impressed
Nice , I'm still slow AF with a nail gun 😂
Fast and straight rows. Very nice
This is 100% the same way I do it. I'm not much slower then him. I love seeing people stip the first outside nail. Then hitting it at it's butted up to the next. Fast as fuck.
Yep. He's quick. I'm not too shabby, but i like running out the horizontal farther. I'll run 3 rows (or whatever i can reach comfortably) across at a time. Then move up n do it again.
Wanna piss off neighbors after they hired a roofer.? Play this lol
This is fucking unreal how quick he is
Anyone can make it sound fast but the work is what matters💯💯💯
Did my garage today me and 1 other person I nailed when that gave me shingles went through 15 bundles in 1 hour
Must have been some skinny bundles cuz ive shingled for 15 years and i know thats not possible
how long did the garage take?
Except you didn’t because that’s impossible. If you’re at a good pace you’ll put on 15 square in a whole day.
I mean hell, we just watched the guy in the video above lay down about a square in 4.5 minutes!
what about that first 12 inch without nail at every shingles lol ... beside that the guy is a beast!
@Cj Mann why??
I laugh every time I see someone say hand nailing is faster 😂
Make sure even if your the only one hooked up to the compressor add a extra take to get more presure in the hose and not let the gun lag or not nail correctly like a couple of times but besides that nice nailing you must be charging somewhere between 40 too 45 per square
Such an organized roof. That's a lot of repetitions there. You cant lay faster than that
I've been Roofing 25 years. Every single one of those nails are not in the double laminate nail strip. So tear them all off! The whole Roof flunked
rob mcdonald for roofing for 25 years you probably need to go get your eyes checked and actually watch more than the first min of the video . Thanks for the opinion though
Mr Bearjew Ok buddy. I don't need my eyes checked. All my jobs are perfect. Not a flaw anywhere. That's why I get no less than $450 per Square for tear offs bud. I'll blast this cat off the Roof, then go back and pick his work aPart. I hate to see his flashing or Valleys. Or any more technical parts of the job. LMAO. Later Bearjew
Everyone’s a Better worker on TH-cam comments . C’mon man
I agree with you
As long as it hits wood its good.
damn, just watched some dudes claiming to be really fast(one youtuber, fastest shingler in the world). and boy were they slow compared to you. thats FAST
If he set his shingles up a bit different so he wouldn’t have to walk to get them he would be much faster.
I am faster lmao this guys good though.
@@NWIVeteranConstruction you are good zack I agree, love your channel. But what makes this guy fast is that he skips his first nail until the next run as where you do one three one he does the last three nails in the shingle he is on and what would be the first nail in the last run of shingles, which is pretty sufficient if you think about it
what is the point of the safety harness when he hooked up at the end
Pointed left which direction compass galvanized
I just noticed his fall arrest system. That ain't stopping shit.
@DxOxN AxNxTxOxN Who cares about insurance? When he hits the ground before the slack on his lanyard takes up, He will be seriously injured or killed. Even free falling a few meters in a harness is enough to rip your internals e.g. heart.
Oooh, I'm stealing. I never thought to leave the last nail on a course for the next run. Show how you quickly cut around a pipe, vent, and flashing please and thank you.
Right thats true roofing i think just going upwards with no detail is easy and fast but how about with a pipe or vent in the way or ju st diffrent shingle how about grand manor certainteed iv placed it before but id like to see a fast roofer do a gable to gable with that shingle
Always some one has something to say. Some hating bitch boy. This guy is one of the best shinglers I've ever witnessed.
Fast nailing
Correctly placed nails
He doesn't
WASTE COMPANY MONEY ON HAVING SOME ONE PASS HIM SHINGLES!
This man is a siriouse example of hard work
Dedication
And self discipline.
Who ever this man works for is varry lucky as well as the customer who is receiving the Roof.
Great Job Brother.
Your the real deal
Cool that's pretty fast
I usually gotta think I'm just as fast, but damn. Fast & accurate 👌.. I know everyone loves Hitachi /Metabo, but that Bostitch don't play. !! What I'm currently shooting 🔫
The early part of the video is zoomed out very far. Jump to 2:11 to see how straight his nail rows are. Awesome.
Bostich coil nailers are fast. If he worked on his bundle layout he could be faster. And loose some weight
PPE are the normal for California now.
Even hard hats on the roof are enforced.
Move out of that shit hole
Come roof in Mississippi. Come summer all we're wearing is shorts, socks, and tennis shoes😂
That’s getting it done here in Fla we 6 nail code
U did c hes placing 5 right hes puting 4 on the shingle he placed and 1 on the end of the shingle next to the one the placed look close and listen to the gun
@@gonzaloquinones5388 right, 4 nails on the fresh shingle and 1 on the butt shingle, that's 5 nails per shingle. Don't know where this is filmed, I'm in NY and it's 6 nails per shingle. With that said, if he had to do 6 he would do it and still be very very fast.
Nice! Hope your staying in the nail line
Impressive 9 times out of 10 when I hear the gun going like that I assume his nails are high crooked and way off. But it appears to me he is very accurate and consistent. Most guys are slow and they still miss the fucking line.
