    From 89-92 I was almost a everyday customer to Durga with my office colleagues while working at the SIET towers. Your Dad personally waited on us every time. Even when we come in very late he very patiently used to personally make the dishes as some employees would not cooperate that late. I have also seen you as boy there! Only now hearing the Teynampet Durga Restaurant name I was able to connect the dots. Had great food all the time - every time the quality was great! Best wishes to your Dad and to you for sharing the recipes.

    Made this sambar along with idli and vadai for our Superbowl party on feb 7th and it was a hit. This is one of my friends comment. “ It tasted exactly like udupi Sambar vadai where I used to have near my grandma’s place Priya. When ever I go and visit my aunts and my cousins they make sure I eat one vada Sambar.

In this episode even before you could start making sambar, when you shared your mother’s sambar powder recipe and went on describing about how your father, Mr. Sadashiva Bhat lavishly used ghee and called those button ghee idli, our eyes turned moist. Having reached Hotel Accord level, not a single episode goes without you mentioning Durga Lunch Home and Mr. Nagaraj. Your million viewership is because you give the viewers a feel as though you are teaching them one on one. Todays’s sambar looks yummy and we will try it soon. Regards
