#59 Kawasaki Teryx DIY Full Service Engine oil Differentials.

  • Doing break in service on my 2021 Kawasaki Teryx4 S model. This will be the same for two and 4 seat models. The first service is recommended at 25 hours or 100 miles. In the past i have always changed front and rear differentials with every oil change. Just cheap peace of mind in my opinion as contamination can possibly get in there.

    Amazing machines! 7yrs now on a 2017 T4LE and not one single failure. Original battery died before Christmas. Original Bighorn tires are finally dry rotting so they're coming out next week. 3500 total miles. Always do all 3 oils and air filter like this video shows. We climb 14,000ft peaks every year with the Teryx and always get home. Good job, Kawasaki!

    Working off the trailer sure beats the dirt! I did oil changes on gravel for many years, a concrete shop is very much appreciated these days! Very good video for those who has the Teryx! Take care!

    that certainly is a well built machine. I have a friend that has one and has had it over here twice. Hope to get him back over here again this summer. We have 2 side by side rides coming through our property this summer. One the 15th of this month and one next month. Limited to 200 side by sides each ride. They were both full a month ago.
    Great job on the service job Richie. Full watch. See you for the next one.

    Good idea to put it on the trailer to service it. I want to get a side x side too. So many uses as well as just riding. Would come in handy on the property. I want to get a building to put it in first though. Good job Ritchie. I always get covered in oil too lol. I have that same oil filter wrench. I also use a belt. I honestly use the belt the majority of the time. That is a good idea about having the video evidence of you doing the maintenance. I never thought about that. One thing about it, if anyone was to ever buy something used from you, you know that you took really good care of it.

    • @HillsideAcres
      @HillsideAcres  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Always a pleasure hearing from you Ronnie! Ive got all sorts of filter wrenches but the pliers are what work the best on the tiny little filter. We are counting the days down until the new building, no more outdoor maintenance and storage! Take care!

    • @HillsideAcres
      @HillsideAcres  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had something like that before the fire lol I think I will be making a stop to orielleys because I do change the diffs every time I do the oil. Thanks for watching and the recommendation.

  • @toddbuh
    @toddbuh 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    the correct size for the front diff bolt is 27mm. I like using a K&N KA-7512 air filter & a K&N 204-1 oil filter, it has a 17mm nut on the end, easier to remove/install than using wrench. And AMSOIL is better than kawasaki oil & diff fluids, plus it's all synthetic.

    • @HillsideAcres
      @HillsideAcres  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don’t like kn filters in dusty environments, they let too much material through. Oil is subjective, changing at proper intervals is what will make the difference
