In our opinion, the 2016+ Teryx 800 is a hard machine to beat for first time UTV buyers. They are tough as nails, capable and overall affordable machines.
In this video we try and cover the basic things to look for when purchasing a used Teryx 800 (or any UTV).
If you guys think we missed something important, let us know in the comments! We obviously didn't cover tires......all that matters is that they are somewhat round and hold air, because everyone replaces them almost immediately.

I just purchased one used for $2500 and put $3000 in it(upgrades and maintenance parts)within a week without riding , because of a bad wheel bearing (and got 2 of those with the unit)…I’m definitely happy …😎 2018 teryx 4 le 4700 miles…$15 to $18 thousand dollar unit can’t beat that 🎉

I'm not big on buying much of anything used, I mostly buy new with very few exceptions. Yes, I pay more, but I also tend to have a lot less headaches compared to many of my friends that buy used stuff.

Great video. I just went to look at a Kawasaki that was for sale and dirty. The guy was boastful about the filters, plugs, etc all being original. You are definitely right. Dirty machine? Just walk away!

If the price was right definitely should have got it easy maintenance as long as the miles were low and no engine knock 😮 some people just dnt like to clean things like that…

@@rightcoastoffroad Would you recommend buying used from a seller or finding a used option at a dealer?

A good clean used one from a private seller will save you some coin.

How many miles would one expect to get out of a 2017 teryx4 ? I'm looking at one with 6,500 miles for $9K ... should I avoid it because of milage?

I may have got a lemon but I was never allowed to drive it and at 3 miles the belt burned up. I could give you a book of crap I have dealt with but I will spare you at 6,000 miles the engine quit, frozen solid. The dealer has serviced the bike from day one and has never warranty has paid one cent, I would never recommend on of these nor will I ever buy another Kawasaki

Replacing the belt out in the field would be a pain in the ass! Shitty engineering. But overall we love our Kawi. Storage boxes Rock
