    ESO trading gold as opposed to global auction house like in wow, is the most ridiculous thing Ive ever encountered. IF ESO had a global auction house it would be the best MMO out there IMO. ITS SO FRICKIN sad that they still roll with the trade guild garbage, it makes the game inaccessible to MILLIONS of players.

      I’m not familiar with how wow’s global auction house system works. I’d be interested it to understand how it works and how it might make the game more accessible if you don’t mind elaborating a bit.

      @@TheESOTips go to a town - go to auction house - browse products (which is global) - buy or post-auction product from your bags. simple. products bought and money from sold items goes to you via mail system. You can use bid system, or just buy now which is wht most people do. It gives crafting and gathering a purpose - In ESO these two things are such a drag with the guild trade system that many many people just give up and stop playing ( I did). ESO probably has the best crafting in any MMO but selling crafted or dropped gear actually selling anything is just a ridiculous pointless task. In wow it does cost a little to post an item for sale so say you price the item at 4 gold it might charge you say 30 silver or such.

      Thanks for the explanation. That definitely sounds a lot more convenient, but I’m not sure the way ESO does it is so much more complicated that it should be a turn off for the entire game. I guess I can see it both ways. The global auction house system you mentioned would eliminate any barriers to people putting stuff up for sale, but it seems like it would also take away the bargain hunting aspect of the current system in ESO. Plus, the barrier (being in a guild with a trader) isn’t all that high to begin with. Many guilds give you free access to a trader. Oftentimes all you need to do is apply and then log in once a week or so to keep your spot. Additionally, the developers use the current system to combat currency inflation by requiring guilds to bid on and pay for traders, thereby taking gold out of circulation. Sorry if this comes off as dismissive, but I’m not seeing this as a game-breaking issue, just a different way of implementing trading. I can appreciate your point of view though!

      @@TheESOTipsIts the same reasoning you put on how to determine location. Convenience... If players aren't going to have to visit 3-4 spots to compare prices to get their best deal sales go up.
      I'm convinced that the way ESO has set up trade guilds puts tons of players off of even trying their hands at it.
      As opposed to a centralized auction system.

    Didn’t know the difference between the guild store and our trader. I though they were the same.

    • @TheESOTips
      @TheESOTips  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’d say you’re basically correct. Your guild’s trader is the store that you can sell through. Other traders are owned by other guilds and are separate stores where those guilds can sell. Hope that clears it up!

    • @trulyhonestgaming
      @trulyhonestgaming ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheESOTips it does thank you. I talked to my guild master and he said that the trader is for outside players to buy from our guild.

    • @TheESOTips
      @TheESOTips  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@trulyhonestgaming that’s correct, but your guild mates can also buy from your trader through either the trader itself or any stationary banker. I always try to buy from my own guild(s) if possible to keep the gold “in the family” as they say.

    as a new player, the fact that you need a guide for basic use of the auction house blows my mind. talk about turning the annoyance level to 11.
    Respect to the player base but it is a hard pass for me

    • @TheESOTips
      @TheESOTips  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, unfortunately there’s not much of a tutorial for guild traders in game. Pretty small part of the game to get turned off by though. Once you’ve listed a couple items you’ll have it down. And to be fair, you probably don’t need a guide just to use it, but some folks might need one to get the most out of it.

    So if I got that right I have to be a part of the Guild and the Guild need to have a trader somewhere? And After all that I can post it from the banker? Damn thats a hell of a lot of shit from WoW or Guild Wars 2 hell even from Final Fantasy XIV.

    • @TheESOTips
      @TheESOTips  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, you need to be in a guild with a trader to use a trader. It’s really not all that difficult to get into a guild with a trader though. I get that it’s a different dynamic from other games, but the guild finder makes it fairly easy to find and enter the type of guild you’re looking for.

      It can be a challenge keeping them full, to be sure. When I don’t have motifs and such to list, I’ll sometimes go into my craft bag and pull out a few kuta or style materials if I have some slots left.

    wait, i am confused. you have to be in the guild that owns that guild trader right? for a second i thought you were saying i could list items at any guild trader and the guild just gets a cut. but you have to be IN the guild?

    • @TheESOTips
      @TheESOTips  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you must be in the guild that owns the respective trader to list items for sale at that trader.

    pregunta que pasa si tengo el mismo item en azul y en morado, es lo mismo investigar el azul ya que el morado vale mas? o que debo hacer en esos casos?😢

    • @TheESOTips
      @TheESOTips  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would definitely use the blue item for research in those situations. If both pieces have the same trait, it makes no difference which one you use for research.
