Been waiting for you guys to talk about pro church lights since it’s listed in your worship ministry tool kit! Figured you guys were waiting for the sponsor lol. This video came just in time! Thank you
Really great video! I looked through the catalogue but I wasn't able to find any information on house lighting. I have old original decorative hanging fixtures that I would really like to retrofit.
@@simonsaucy In my experience with oil based hazers for something like a permanent install, you’re looking at a decent build up of residue on equipment and other items. They definitely have their place, I just feel like water based is a much better option all around.
@@simonsaucy Oh I completely understand the goal. We have a 1000 seat auditorium and I’m only running my Radiance at about 30-40% output with no problems keeping that nice thin haze for the beams. The radiance is a touring industry hazer. It’ll put out more haze than most rooms will ever need.
@@darrenmoney4130 I just checked it. I run at 40% for worship only. We’ll usually start it at about 5min left in our countdown to get haze in the room and run it continuously through worship. I have a second preset that bumps it to 60% output, but that’s only if we have to come out of a welcome into worship to get the haze moving quick and then we’ll knock back down to that 40%. The radiance has a built in fan that I run at 100%. It also has power out for an external fan which I also use to help disperse. That a larger Vornado fan I got from Walmart or Target. Hazer is position in my upstage truss hung underneath and the external fan is mounted to the top of the truss blowing air slightly downward into the haze. Never run haze through a fan. It’ll ruin it after a while. I hope this helps.
@@TheTinkirWorkshop Thanks. We also have a Radiance. We have struggled to get the haze thin and lasting without clouds. It seems to fall out quickly. We might try adding the Vornado fan.
Agreed! Forgot to get my hair cut a few days prior to the shoot. The hat was a quick fix to the hair problem, but caused other lighting problems. Just a lesson - Don't let your pastor wear a hat if you want to see them fully and clearly! :)
Hey Churchfront! I would like to know if you could give me some advice for lighting a church that your renting? Meaning that we can’t use screws to mount lights on the wall and things like that.
You can use standing trusses with bass plates and just have the lights mounted on the tops. I work for a wedding company and that’s what we set up at every venue. Very easy to set up, I believe I’ve seen Jake do the same in his older lighting videos
Hi, I cant find the video on how to use triggers for sidechaining drum mic gates. Please respond, we need to know how to wire the triggers into console.
We have 4 moving front lights we have for singers & pastor to talk if we use bright background it makes the people on front of stage dark will we can’t see them on livestream
They aren't "needed" but they are tools used to enhance the experience, redirect attention, and increase comfort. There are a lot of things that aren't needed technically. Like speakers, nice chairs, or a building for that matter...If you get my point.
Im a videographer and photographer for my church, and I have the hardest time with colored house lights because when capturing a person worshiping they are super saturated in color. what would be your advice for having great stage lighting but also great lights on congregation to take great photos and videos for social media.
Hey Brett - Long story short: for photo- shoot in raw, not JPEG. For video (assuming you're not talking about live-streaming) - shoot in a LOG or flat profile. You are essentially going to have to go in on your computer and add the coloration and make the photos/videos look the way you want them to. For the photos: the biggest factor in making it all look natural when you go back and fix in post will be to get your white balance as neutral looking as possible when you take the photo. So if the lights turn blue, make it warmer, and vice versa. Once you put those raws on your computer, Adobe Lightroom and Peter McKinnon tutorials will be your friend! - Dylan.
Does it matter that all the lights are different brands, say if they were all Chauvet MK series it will be easy to color match? Vs having different brands and having to color match when designing?
It will help. In my opinion if you just spend some time on the front end making color presets with all your lights together, it will be super easy to recall those. Then you have the versatility of being able to find the best fixture for your church based on it’s performance and not manufacturer.
50% of the churches we serve are not dark box / black box auditoriums. We plan to do another video very soon in a auditorium with lots of natural light. Stay tuned.
@@chicagolandbrokersrobertno3553 Agreed. Worship is a Concert where the people are on stage and God is Not the focal Point. The Whole Stage presentation, band, light shows, darkness, is not truly Christian- its Idolatry. All you people out there are deluded and are warped by your emotions. Trust me when I say its not Christian, its Pagan idolatry and people are worshipping "worship" not Jesus.
This is lighting in general / not religious lighting which does'nt exist / to say some fixtures are god or religious driven is ludicrous / lights are based on functionality and practicality not based on a religion / ashamed is what you should be

Hello, I’m not seeing anything about the house lights in the catalog. Would love to get more info on those.
What lights do you have installed in the ceiling as house lights and what are they connected with?
Can we get a display/led wall breakdown please. We’re having issues configuring and routing our led wall from our mac mini

You’re MY hero!

Walk by faith and not by sight
Under rated comment!
Good thought until you trip over a mic or instrument cord and fall off the front of the stage....is there a doctor in the house?!
What interfaces and systems/software do you use to control the individual lights?
How much are the house lights? I can't find prices in the catalog.
In my opinion i like to use red orange majenta for an upbeat song and blue cyan for a slow song and purple/ pink and white for a neutral song
Then your focus is on the wrong thing. God's House is not to become a worldly concert.
Hey Churchfront! I would like to know if you could give me some advice for lighting a church that your renting? Meaning that we can’t use screws to mount lights on the wall and things like that.
