    Why not use a simple cutaway mesh instead of a water soluble?

    • @KaysCutz
      @KaysCutz  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Allison because it has an embroidered edge so when you have finished the satin stitching and remove it from the hoop you will have the stabilizer poking through the stitching. With wash away stabilizer your wet it and it disappears and you have a beautiful neat edge. The general rule is anything with an embroidered satin stitch edge use wash away and anything with a seamed edge use cut away. I don't use tear away at all for anything I find it a waste of money as it isn't strong enough to stand up to anything with satin stitching on it. I hope this help you.

The price in the link below is about average and although they might seem expensive but they do last. I have had mine a few years now and they are still cutting as well as the day I bought them. What is the clear plastic thing you use to help keep the fabric flat called? I need one. Lol

    • @KaysCutz
      @KaysCutz  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Cassie. I honestly don't know what it is. I cant remember where I found it I think they might have been part of packaging or something that didn't get thrown out, I improvise with anything that comes to hand when I need a tool for something. A pen with a lid on or a school rulers works just as well. They all save a broken needles from fingers getting stitched. Sorry I can be of more help on this.

    can polyester felt be used for the batting

    • @KaysCutz
      @KaysCutz  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, I dont see why not but be away that felt shrinks in the wash so bear that in mind before making it. If you dont plan to wash it then it should be fine. Happy stitching,

    Nice instructions Kays! A quick question - I have a XL hoop (10.5"x16"). Is it possible to rotate & stitch all four sides and the center piece (the 7.5"x7.5" product) on the XL hoop to save the time on cutting/trimming? Thanks.

    • @KaysCutz
      @KaysCutz  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Alice normally if it is possible to stitch it in one hooping the files are included so I would say no because size of hoop, final size of the design and the hoops stitch field are completely different things. You could contact Heather and ask here if she can do and updated one in the future if you wanted too.
