I can’t live without my sharp stabby tool as I call it, is a clay sculpting tool. I bought it in my local craft shop. Amazon do sell them as part of a clay sculpting set but not individually.
All my other supplies are from Amazon including my large squizzors. They are actually aquarium precision pinch action scissors.
I use H2O gone FSL water soluble stabilizer or Brothread cut away stabilizer for my stitch outs.
Happy stitching!

Hello, form beautiful Florida. Thank you so much for this tutorial I had so much fun sitting him up I made the largest size and probably the scariest part was adding the fur I used this beautiful white fur, and it was worth the struggle he came out gorgeous...
So happy to find this video! I just bought him and plan it to be my 1st multihooping project ever. Wish me luck!
Excellent good luck and happy stitching 😊

Thank you once again and a wonderful stitch-along. That was most enjoyable, as always :)
Thanks for watching Denise pleased you enjoyed it. Happy stitching.
I took the plunge today and tried your gift box. I was surprised at how easy it was and how beautifully it turned out. I'm out of wash-away stabilizer and now need to wait (im)patiently for my stockist to get their shipment in.... I just want to try them all now...TOTALLY ADDICTED!!
@@denisegeorgiades2887 Always keep a good stash of wash away I buy three 25 meter rolls at a time. I get mine on Amazon prime it is quicker than waiting for shops to get it in stock.
@@KaysCutz I will certainly do that in the future. No fun running out of supplies. I think that I will try one of your ITH projects that require a cut-away in the meantime. The addiction is real!! LOL
@@denisegeorgiades2887 Have you see the new We Three Kings runner / wall hanging? That is cut away stabilizer.
I just found you channel. I am looking into doing embroidery and am an absolute beginner. I have seen many of your tutorials. You are a wonderful at explaining every detail, which gives me confidence to dive into embroidery. I want to thank you for sharing your wonderful talent and sharing your vast knowledge. I am a new subscriber.
Hi Janet you're welcome and welcome to the exciting and sometimes frustrating world of machine embroidery. I
t is frustrating because embroidery machines never behave. You cant turn your back on them because they will know and shred thread or break a needle etc. and they certainly don't play nice sometimes. Exciting because there is always that lovely next new design that you cant wait to stitch out.
MAchine embroidery is a very steep learning curve but you will only become friends with your machine by using it and practice practice practice, which is great because that just mean make things that take your fancy.
The key to good embroidery is stabilizer. Most problems are caused by the wrong one or not enough. If you are going to skimp on anything skimp on fabric rather than stabilizer. I say that because machine embroidery isnt cheap.
Wash away is for anything with an embroidered edge and free standing lace. Two sheets is better than one and cut away is for anything with a seamed edge (I don't use tear away as it can tear too easily during your stitch out and ruin your work, especially when things have satin stitch edges. So a big waste of money and fabric when it goes wrong) . There are many more but those two are the main ones.
I include links to all the products I use in my video descriptions, so if you are not sure what to buy have a look there.

@@KaysCutz Thank you so much for taking the time to explain everything to me. I would love to join the FB Group. Have a great Thanksgiving.
You're welcome, happy thanksgiving.
I love your videos! They are exactly what I need as I’m not brilliant with written instructions. Thanks so much 😀
Hi Julie pleased you find them useful. Thanks for watching.
Love this!
Thank you and thanks for watching. He is cute lol.
I love this. My machine takes a very large hoop. I am assuming that this can be done in one hooping, right?
Hi Barbara, no it is an in the hoop design so it goes up in size the larger the hoop. There would still be 4 hoopings.
I’m going to buy this embroidery to save for the future. Think it’s a bit much for me right now. What do you suggest for a snowman project for a rank beginner?
Hi Mary I would suggest you try this one and he is a freebie. The link for the design is in the video descrition.
th-cam.com/video/ErjAHkLE3f0/w-d-xo.html
I see you made your snowman in the 4 x 4 hoop. What was the final width of the snowman. If I make it in the 8 x 8 hoop, does the width of the head get larger?
The size of the snowman goes up according to the hoop size you choose so 4x4 will be 4x4 wide and an 8x8 will be 8x8 wide etc. The various finished heights sizes are given on the product page in the link below. So the final width of my snowman was 4x4.

These are gorgeous. Tried my first one and the instructions were very clear and easy. I am new to all this and would really like to just do the head but with the scarf attached- would this be possible? I would also like to put a name in the head/hat band ... could you tell me how would I know what size font to use to fit it in please? I just don’t know where to start to ensure it would fit/work. xx
Hi Jennifer yes it is possible but it has to be done in two hoopings.
- Load file C into your machine and stitch colour 6 to give you the placement outline for the scarf.
- Place your batting down and stitch colour 6 again. Then trim up the excess batting.
- Place your scarf fabrics over the outline on both back and front of your hoop and stitch colour 6 again to secure it. - Trim up the excess fabric both back and front of your hoop
- Make sure you have a matching bobbin and thread into your machine and stitch colour 10 which is the satin
stitching around the scarf (except the top edge as this will be the join to your next hooping.
- Remove the hoop and free your scarf from the stabilizer.
- Load file D and follow the instructions, you will place the scarf against the head after having stitched colour 9.
- Join scarf to the head with colour 10 as you would have done for the whole body
- Continue following the instructions to the end.
Happy New Year and happy stitching.
Loved it. Please keep your videos coming. I was daunted by these, but your step by step video makes it easier and I feel more confident to try. I would like to know what tape you are using please. Thank you x
Hi foreverwestlife, thank you pleased you enjoy them. I use cheap masking tape, not the low tack stuff as it doesn't hold the fabric. You want one that sticks well. Hope that helps. Happy stitching.
I absolutely love these how can I change the white band around his hat and the ball on the end of the hat thank you
Youre welcome thanks for watching. Happy stitching.
Why is it when i put fabric on for scarf it goes behond the scarf line and several stitches onto the round part of the body making it impossible to cut the scarf fabric away , thank u
Hi Sue I have looked closely at the C files and I cant see anything that would prevent you trimming the fabric away. The stitching goes all round the scarf and then stops. I didn't have that problem when I stitched mine. Can I ask which file version you are stitching, what format and size you are stitching out and very important are you opening the file in any software before transferring it to your machine?
I have an Altair (brand new) and have tried the snowman stacked design and continue to break needles. I was wondering if you have any advise. Very discouraged. Thank you.
There could be many causes: What springs to mind for me would be a needle not inserted properly causing it to catch under the footplate. Thread caught up in the tension discs of your machine. I bought three packs of Schmetz needles a few years ago and every single one in all threee packs were faulty and broke constantly one after the other so I went over to Organ needles and havent had any problems like that since. What brand of needle are you using?
I know that your machine isn't a Brother but I am refering you to this page because it lists all the possible reasons so you can work your way through them one by one. If it is still doing it then I would suggest you contact your machines dealer. Let me know how you get on.

If I have a larger hoop and only want to use the top 2 sections. How can I do them in a single hooping?
Hi Debbie this a a multi hooping design so it isn't made to be stitched in one hooping. Just stitch the 3rd and 4th hooping if you only want the top two tiers. Happy stitching 😊
Great sew along thank you the scarf would be tricky. What is the silver fabric you use.
Thanks for watching. No the scarf isn't tricky Mary. I used fine glitter vinyl for his hat and scarf.
everything stitches fine until I come to step 7 in the last piece (the head) the hat is off placement. C
an you tell me what I am doing wrong.
Before I can help you I need to ask two questions.
Was you machine possibly been knocked or jogged during stitching even lightly?
Did you opened the design in any software before loading it into your machine?
Kays Cutz no to both questions. I even tried it 3 times. However, I tried it on my other machine and it stitched perfectly. I even tried the smaller version on the same machine that it was messing up on and the smaller version worked.
I dont have an answer then, I know the design has been stitched 1000's of times now so it isnt a design issue, that is confirmed by the fact that your other machine can stitch it out without a problem. All I can suggest is that you contact Heather and ask her if she possubly knows why it is happening, she has come across most machine issues in her career. Sorry I cant be of more help. The email address is help@kreativekiwi.com
What size hoop are you using?
Hi Mary Ann I used a 4x4 hoop for the demonstration but there are several different sizes in the set..
Didn’t see any instructions for the hanging tab either.
Hi Kathy I probably forgot to put it in, it happens sometimes as I am concentrating on so many different things during the filming of these videos. I do everything myself from start to finish, so my appologies. To add a hanging loop, stitch round 1of the head, place your hanging loop at the top of the head with the tails over the outline and tape it in place and then place your batting over the top and stitch colour two, then trim your batting taking care not to cut the loop. I hope this helps.
@@KaysCutz thanks for the information 😃
What are those scissors called that you use? Sure makes it look easy cutting out! This is super cute!
Thank you. They are called squizzors Connie.
Thank you!
You're welcome. I always put info on my supplies tools and such like in the video descriptions as well as other useful info.
Luv him !! can i ask you please what fabric you used especially the glitter , thank u Sue
Hi Sue. I used fine glitter vinyl I bought it from my not so local fabric shop last time I was in there. It sparkled and said buy me and then it jumped into my basket all by itself so I had to give it a good home lol
Kays Cutz I have things jump into my basket too.
Is the vinyl - permanent or heat transfer
It is just thin fine glitter vinyl that you can use for making things like purses and such. I found it in my local fabric shop
Grazie
Kay where did you get your bigger scissors you cut all the trimmings with?
Hi Pauline, I got them from Amazon they are aquarium scissors would you believe.
Thank you very much. I went got me a pare today but won't receive them for about 2 weeks. Can't wait to get them and try them out. I liked that they were a little longer than the other ones I have. Watch all your videos and then you walk me through a lot of the designs. You do a great job explaining just about all you need to know.
Thank you/ Pleased you got your scissors. They take a little time to get used to but they do a great job. Happy stitching.
