Especially love the Mind Monitor app. It’s crazy that isn’t automatically included or a greater part of Muse; it is what appeals the most, personally at least. Nice review, thanks!
I just got the new muse S band. Had a great sleep score (82) first round. Didn’t appear to lose any data all night. Really happy. Looking forward to trying real-time EEG with the mind monitor app. Thanks for this video.
Ok. Im bold. What do you think would it make a differance in case of Signal quality? I dont know what to do i can buy used Muse s gen 1 for a half Prise of Muse gen 2. Ot any Suggestion? Muse S gen 2 is worth buying regarding better Signal quality? Is it noticable at all?
The Muse S gen 2 headband is a much better design than the first one. The actual device itself that connects to the band hasn't changed much other than a better battery. You can buy the gen 2 headband by itself from Muse and then buy a second hand gen 1 if it works out cheaper; not sure how much you would save that way but it would basically be the same setup. I'd personally just buy the new one so you have the warrenty etc in place, which is probably worth more than what you'll save buying used.
Hi, there are a number of things that can cause insomnia but if it’s stress related, this potentially can if you use it to help with meditation. However, I’d say you don’t need a device to practice meditation or need a headset like this for just audio based guided sleep and there are much cheaper things to try first such as mobile and smartwatch apps. There is a new version of the Muse S called Gen 2 coming out that will supposedly help more with insomnia but I’m skeptical. You could also look at binaural beats for sleep as another non-medicine/pill based aid.
You can get the metrics using a 3rd party app as I showed, which is mainly what I use now but yes I think the official app would definitely be better if they had a feature to display these perhaps as an advanced option. I do think the reason they don’t show them directly is probably because of signal noise and handling gaps in data, which is why they use an algorithm to show calm/neutral/active instead

Still enjoying it? I'm considering buying a used one primarily for accurate for sleep tracking
Can you do a step-by-step tutorial on how to use the Mind Monitor app? Thank you
What do you think about the new sleep algorithm that separates out the different waves forms (delta, alpha, theta, beta, gamma)?
Amazing

Ok the wave say like calm neutral active wish one is theta or alpha
Kind of useless is they don't give alpha beta theta metrics
