I just wanted to take a moment to thank Brandon. After watching your video, I’ve made the exciting decision to pursue a career as a tattoo artist. It feels like the perfect path for me, not only because of the potential to earn a good income but also the opportunity to express my creativity and meet interesting people. Plus, I can't deny the allure of looking cool at the bar with my skills on display.
My dad and uncle work on a tattoo shop, alongside other family members who work in the ink business and now im watching this to help the family but what my dad told me and I want everyone to know. "Son many people come to our shop and start paying so we teach them how to tattoo and it's not cheap, and for the first 2 months we teach them to draw lines, and most of them pay and give up cause they can't draw straight lines. And they just end up waisint money and time. Don't give up Son. Perfect those lines."
Hello! Thanks for putting out these really great and informative videos. They're just the kind of thing that I've been looking for, for research purposes. I've just started working on a book, (a fantasy romance, which I greatly hope to finish and then publish.. fingers crossed) and I've decided to make the heroine of the story a tattoo artist. I, personally, have nine tattoos and I have an upcoming appointment to start working with an artist to design my tenth. (Which is what inspired me to make the heroine an artist herself. I've got tattooing on the brain.. LOL) There's just one problem, I know next to nothing about the actual process from start to finish, or the different products that are needed by the artist. (This video helped a lot with the latter, so thanks again. I know the basics of course, gloves, machines, paper towels, ink. And sterilization, shaving the area, stencil placement, outline, shade or color, then bandage. But I'm missing the smaller details, like how to prep the skin before the stencil, and before putting ink to skin and the final steps of the process when you're finished inking the design and before bandaging it. And while this particular video gives me a lot of helpful information, because of the use of fake skin it doesn't have all of the information that I'm looking for. Is there any chance for an upcoming step by step video of a tattoo being done on real skin from start to finish?
Thank you again my brother all tips and tricks are very helpful iv been working alot on fake skin and i felt Confident enough to jump on my leg and I did a really good job but I see were I need to hope back on fake skins to learn to run longer lines

What about the more important stuff? How do you get into tattooing as a career? Do you take a part time job at McDonald’s and also apprentice under someone tattooing how do you actually start????
some of my friends never even apprenticed, they just got good on fake skin and themselves and friends, and then used photos for a portfolio. sending in examples of your work compared to just applying for an apprenticeship is like sending an application with a resume and everything, they’ll be more likely to start you off sooner if they know they don’t have to teach you every little thing.

One thing many artists said to me work on your lines make sure you can do the art someone wants done don't lie and say you do when you don't be comfortable and find a style your comfortable in many inks are different same with the needle make sure you are relaxed don't rush take your time build a good portfolio on you art of what you can do make sure stencil is straight and flat work on your shading and color work on your foot pressure on your machine so your not destroying your client arm or wherever your tattooing. Remain humble and don't build a ego. Don't charge crazy on people who don't know or are getting there first tattoos. Be yourself and remain focus on what you want to accomplish in tattooing. Make it a good environment for you and your clients and also make sure you have everything you need before tattooing and make sure you keep your needles are clean and santitize keep your station clean always and healthy. Lastly have fun doing your art and make sure this what you want to really do because Soo many want it but don't actually put in the time to get better and you can take tattooing so many places. Lastly big big big thing every tattoo artist told me. Know how to really draw and don't lie about it not knowing how only a handful artist can really say they freehand it's the hardest thing to do in tattoo if you can do it and master it you will excel in tattooing. Because client love original art nobody has and doing it all freehand will show your client how good you are and then they can pass it on too others to give you more buisness and clientele

A lot of artists I know move to California
You can draw on your skin with a pen, but it’s not ideal for tattooing directly over it. Pens can smudge, and the ink isn’t designed for tattoo stencils. It’s better to use proper stencil transfer paper for clean, lasting guidelines
I know this was posted a year ago but Does the vibration from the machine affect you as a new beginner is it hard to work with when you first start or?
It's definitely something you'll have to get used to especially when it comes to your line work to prevent your hands from being shaky and your lines coming out wobbly
What do I use when I’m tattooing and then I wipe of the ink that was left , do people use alcohol or green soap and water on a paper towel to wipe it? Cuz I just use a dry paper towel and it ends up smudging my whole canvas
I recently bought a tattoo kit off of Amazon after I seen your video on kits and now I'm a little discouraged. Should I use that as practice material until I'm able to get a legit kit? What website do you recommend I go to purchase a legit kit for a reasonable price?
I think BlackHawk has some good quality fake skin, but you can also use an orange when practicing depth and line work. Obviously doesn’t help for stretching the skin practice and things, but a cheap yet effective method nonetheless
I don't think you need to be too afraid of using a jank set up when beginning. Think of the old school, people tattoo in prison with pen ink and tooth picks. You will be fine.
Ofcourse i had to get fake skin on wish.. they had a plastic feel to it and are really thin but i got used to it, figured out the depth so now it looks pretty good. Just started two weeks ago so dont judge me im a cheapskate when it comes to practicing

@@retroescobar well, I wouldn’t if I were an artist but I got tattoos done recently and that was used and it felt different than my first tattoos and, different healing too.
I was curious as to whether your tattoo course helps people get their license in the states that they need to legally have them? I’m interested in the course but unsure if it’s the equivalent of an apprenticeship so you can get your license?

Because client love original art nobody has and doing it all freehand will show your client how good you are and then they can pass it on too others to give you more buisness and clientele
Im sorry i can not understand what you just said.
@@angeldelgado7120 basically be your own artist don't copy don't rush your work don't lie to customers saying you can do something and you can't do it. Make your portfolio known meaning build your clientele up and if word gets out your good enough maybe you will have more customers it's all about how your grind and how you move in tattoo and where you go. A lot of artists I know move to California
Great video helped alot
Thanks for the tip
Thank you
I’m curious. Can you use a pen and draw something you like on your skin then tattoo over it ???
You can draw on your skin with a pen, but it’s not ideal for tattooing directly over it. Pens can smudge, and the ink isn’t designed for tattoo stencils. It’s better to use proper stencil transfer paper for clean, lasting guidelines
I know this was posted a year ago but Does the vibration from the machine affect you as a new beginner is it hard to work with when you first start or?
It's definitely something you'll have to get used to especially when it comes to your line work to prevent your hands from being shaky and your lines coming out wobbly
सर में आपकी हर एक वीडियो देखता हूं
speed stick is the literal best for stencil transfering.
Which machine do you recommend to start
What do I use when I’m tattooing and then I wipe of the ink that was left , do people use alcohol or green soap and water on a paper towel to wipe it? Cuz I just use a dry paper towel and it ends up smudging my whole canvas
Makeup wipes work pretty well
I recently bought a tattoo kit off of Amazon after I seen your video on kits and now I'm a little discouraged.
I’ve been wanting to get into this. Any tattoo artist recommend good tattoo gun?
what tattoo gun do you recommend buying to start off with?
Anywhere in Dubai where you can get beginners training?
Tattooing 101 is accessible anywhere!
You are gorgeous lol thanks for the advice
Ofcourse i had to get fake skin on wish.. they had a plastic feel to it and are really thin but i got used to it, figured out the depth so now it looks pretty good. Just started two weeks ago so dont judge me im a cheapskate when it comes to practicing
hi, is learning tattoo need special talent like painters or singers or we can become good in it with practice ? and is it late to learn tattoo in age 40?
Talent is not something are born with, its something that is learned. Start today, youre the youngest youll ever be. Nobody comes out the womb with great artistic abilities
Nice mandox nft poster in the background
Thank you 🙏🏻
Omg you guys have a program 🙏😭😭😭😭
I don't have needles but I have fake skins an thing ty so much also can you do a in depth video of needles
We've made a video on that!
what machine would you recommend?
Do you actually receive a tattoo license that is compliant with your state from the tattoo acceleration program?
Hey Chance if you are based in USA, the requirements for a tattoo licence can vary from state to state. So we always recommend contacting your local relevant authorities to check if the program can be counted as part of your apprenticeship hours
Thank you for the reply yea I will have to look I live in Nevada .
Im a ballpointpen artist and i cam do atleast realismm.. using a BIC pen
is there a chance that i can transfer my skill to become a Tattoo artist ? because it looks sp hard for me..... i dont have any material yet...
I appreciate this video
Haha " making a list checking it twice, just to make sure the tattoo will be nice" 🎶🤣🤣
When practicing on silicone skin, how do I get the ink off? Should I use green soap?
I smudge it so bad and can’t get it off!
Thanks so much ❤
Use vaseline. Works great.
Guys I am 37 year old and I have a bit knowledge of drawing from the past I was really into it but I gave up and now I would like to start again and also tattooing. Do you think is to late to start at this age?
It’s never too late.
Hi I’m in Sydney Australia

thx kid
Is 1 year of learning not enough to start learning to do full color? I told a tattoo artist friend that I wanted to do it and she told me to wait more before getting into the color world…maybe I’m not patient enough maybe she’s wrong I don’t know what’s your opinion?
Experiment and have fun. If you wanna have fun with color go for it!
Is there negative effects to using a speed stick on real human skin, the speed stick and alcohol mixture?
Don’t do it
@@retroescobar well, I wouldn’t if I were an artist but I got tattoos done recently and that was used and it felt different than my first tattoos and, different healing too.
If the way I hold a pencil is different (ring finger underneath) Would that affect my tattooing? Should I try to hold it the "correct" way?
There is no correct way, do whats comfortable to you
In your opinion do you have to be good at drawing things to be a good tattoo artist?
Not neccerary, but it helps a lot
I was curious as to whether your tattoo course helps people get their license in the states that they need to legally have them? I’m interested in the course but unsure if it’s the equivalent of an apprenticeship so you can get your license?
You don’t need a license
@@joeybonin274 in my state it is required to have a tattoo license and blood borne pathogens certified to work in shops.
Videos are very informative bro, what do you use for your video edits?
Final cut
I bought 2tattoo machines (two kits). How can I tell if I have a good machine? Or if its beginner ? Does it matter?
Honestly been there before so really if the gun isn't good it will jump and the needle won't hold or it will not work with a set speed a good gun will have nice coils and hold a needle steady when using
Do you have a list please ? As someone starting, I have no idea what to put in the list you mentioned 😅 (which is why I'm watching the video haha )
We have a video on that list actually!
My baby pressed the like button before I could
I think I'm to worried about hurt to person I'm tattooing. How do I know that my dept is right on my needle.
Start off on practice skins first so you will get used to knowing how to judge and feel for the right depth
Ty bro
