Incredible!!!!!!! I am no longer in bondage... I will practice... I have been trying to find what truth is since I was a little girl… Truth is reality itself! There's no confusion in that!❤❤❤❤
I am listening for a quote I have in my head: "A seeking mind is a restless mind, a restless mind in a discontent mind" Maybe it was a taoist writing, I googled it, but just get my own quote of it. Chasing my own tail...with humour. It is a good reading; thanks🙏
Understood! Books/audiobooks are definitely longer than other methods of learning, especially on topics like spirituality/religion/philosophy. I think the 'Plain and simple' tag is referring to the language/concepts the author is using to convey and educate on what Buddhism is. Alot of other books I've read on the topic reference concepts that can be a bit harder to wrap one's head around and they try to cite very old and wordy scriptures/texts. Doing it that way is comprehensive learning, but it's also far more difficult for a beginner to understand (which I was at the time and still really am). Honestly, if you'd prefer something shorter I'd recommend just searching TH-cam for video-essays on Buddhism, that's how I began learning and it's far more concise when explained by somebody in laymans terms rather than an author writing a book. Then you can always try a longer text if you're interested enough afterwards!
The little snicker when reading the chapter name as "coming" or whatever it was made my day 😂
At least they don’t believe in the second coming

Well written. Very reminiscent of “Zen mind; Beginners Mind”
Love when the narrator laughs when introducing Chapter 3 😂
