This theory has it merits, Crying Child's body would be found, as the bite was public. But this is all assuming that William was the one that stuffed the suits. A TH-camr by the name "Sire Squacks" did a whole video about how the Puppet was the one who stuffed the MCI corpses into the animitronics. And I have to say, his theory is pretty convincing. Plus his other videos have interesting ideas. Like Vengeful Spirtit being behind Fnaf World + helping Crying Child move on, why Vengeful Spirtit/Cassidy is so powerful, and Shadow Freddy's role in the story. If nothing else, it may give you a new perspective.
To give it a serious thought for fun, it might just be the contrast of everyone here being used to seeing him sitting down all the time. It’s likely given him a calmer energy over time that everyone is used to. So when he starts standing up, he doesn’t have to move around quite as frantically as the meme looks, just the contrast of him moving around tons more than he normally does gives off that vibe. This paired with his voice sounding a little quieter and calmer compared to other theorists that I remember also adds to that effect, as the energy from the others makes them seems more bouncy and energetic in a way, which makes Rye’s sudden standing decision stand out more than the others. I bet the feeling will fade away with time if he decides to stick with it.
This makes perfect sense and also actually helps connect Fuhnaff's theory/show the ending of Scott's original idea vs what is the new stories. Because the new stories are AI and the old stories were supernatural and while there is still supernatural stuff happening (ie remnent/agony left in the animatronics) it ends the story for the crying child and the missing children's stories. What if, Michael went down to sister location to try and find his sister to also help free her. Meaning that she died before hand, but moves the gameplay later into the series, but the AI (Baby) outsmarted Michael and killed him. Once all the animatronics leave Michael's body, it is left with agony and wonders around, soulless until burning up in pizza sim now near impossible to salvage. Meanwhile Michael's soul is stuck in Sister Location and get's transferred into the VR game and or possesses something new which leads to an off shoot of theories Related to Michael and where his soul is. Michael's soul could be in Freddy (Him only remembering trying to find his brother which starts security breach) or the mimic (Him being stuck in the basement needing his body back and knowing a clown stole it so constantly putting on clown costumes and trying to put on costumes to be able to escape to find his body meanwhile the AI is also there causing him to do any request clouding his mind of what he wants to do vs what the AI wants to do.) could even be a combination of the two (Michael's originally was in Freddy but get's put into the mimic afterwards, or Even Michael now remembering sister location, knowns of the Mimic due to Baby and is getting help from Gregory and Venessa to stop it (this also has some merit as if Michael was digging the tunnels down there, he would remember the route to escape which he tells Gregory who in turn tells Cassy)). It would also make sense as to why the puppet is still around because Michael hasn't moved on yet. She knew during pizza Sim that Michael's soul was still around so she choses to stay longer but without Cassidy as the middle man it is hard to communicate with Michael. Honestly this could go back to the theory with the puppet possessing the mimic which is why they needed Cassy (ie insert for Cassidy) to come and be a middle man, but it didn't work out correctly. MEANWHILE, Baby is off doing her own thing which will eventually lead to her being the big bad. Which will I bet get illuded to in the second VR help wanted game. Every time I think I'm out you and Fuhnaff bring up something that pulls me back in,
I'm a fan of the walking around, it gives off "wait wait guys no seriously this is THE theory" vibes which I am totally here for. Great video as always and I really enjoyed this more positive video about early fnaf
I love how the fandom has basically bullied Scott and Co. into finally giving us answers to how the FNAF universe works in the human realm and how the realm that holds Remnant and other mystical forces works. Anything that empowers Charlotte, even if it still doesn't make sense, I support fully because Baby Girl is the true GOAT of FNAF, followed closely by Mike and Henry due to their tendency use arson as needed remedies to cruelty and nonsense. Charlotte deserves her flowers and to Rest, which is why despite how much I adore MatPat and everyone else that says so, I will NEVER accept that Charlotte is possessing anything after the Pizzeria Fire, even if her color green is everywhere. Nope. My Baby Girl was freed from LeftE and the Puppet just like her Daddy wanted more than anything (except for revenge on Afton, of course!) and she's at peace, never having to suffer from William Afton's bloodthirsty bullshit ever again. Her mask no longer has tears, despite being caught up in The Blob/The Tangle so she's Free. Period. I'll happily die on this Hill. I'm not budging.
I see you’re as stubborn about Charlie finding peace as I am about Afton definitely being Glitchtrap and Burntrap. You’ll have to hack me apart on this hill because I’m convinced. Burntrap manages to power up Glitchtrap to take over Freddy by touching the computer screen. That only makes sense if they’re souls and one is transferring power to the other but it makes no sense to be the mimic
Cassidy is/was definitely trying to help the crying child finally rest for the whole initial series of games. I just watched a video by a really small channel called Sire Squawks titled - "Cassidy: The Spirit Behind Everything in FNAF"; and they essentially came to a very similar conclusion. I actually thought you had seen it and were making your own take at first, but it's just coincidence you guys found similar conclusions. They actually chose to only use the games as a resource for that vid, while you read the recent book which is kind of sealing it for me. But their video covers virtually everything about Cassidy and Golden Freddy as a whole. They even convinced me that it's Cassidy, not Baby or anyone else, pulling the strings and whose eyes you see in the void during some dialogue sequences of FNAF World with the intent to guide the crying child to their peace. It's remarkably well thought out. That's why I always try to watch smaller/newer channels when I find them randomly. They tend to catch or question things bigger channels and just the average person overlook or shrug off. I'm convinced that if two completely unrelated and different sized channels are drawing very similar conclusions while citing 2 different source mediums is telling us that this is correct or we're getting close to the how and why a lot has happened involving the spirits themselves.
As someone who isn't a fan of fnaf by any means but loves watching theory videos, this is maybe the most satisfying theory I've ever watched. I love the explantion it gives to midnight motorist (which to my knowledge had always been unsolved?). It makes complete sense Also, does anyone know the sweet kitty's name?
Ok, this theory was actually extremely cool. My gut tells me that at least large chunks of it are probably right. I really like the idea of Cassidy and eventually Michael working through the logbook to try and help the Crying Child move on. It feels like it makes sense and might even explain why the book has so much Fnaf 3 imagery especially - the game that has the Happiest Day minigame. Yeah, I think I'm pretty much on board for this one. Some bits here and there might be off but I really feel like the general gist of it is probably correct. (honestly this is maybe the first theory I've seen that makes a really cohesive and evidence-based through line for how Happiest Day works and the Crying Child story in general)
9:58 Oh! Could that be related to what glamrock Freddy was talking about when jumping into the pit? Saying he found himself when digging the path out for vanny?
I didn't mind you pacing around at all! Whatever makes you feel comfortable. Also, I like your theory here; not exactly a happy ending still, but in a horror series I think a bittersweet, apologetic final reunion for these two brothers is the best outcome you could really hope to get. Being a FNAF fan is a rollercoaster.
I honestly really loved your theory, it seems incredibly accurate and it makes sense too, also I think the standing up is cool as long as you feel it’s cool.
everyone already mentioned the standing up, but as a neurodivergent person i can totally feel your excitement while talking about this!! talking about something like this while sitting down would've been a difficult task lol
I don't mind you standing up while talking bout whatever is new, reminds me of those detectives in those movies pacing back and forth trying to piece stuff together.
Hey Rye how's your day going? Also we gotta give props to Rye for giving us these theories. No matter if their true or not I personally enjoy them either way.😊
I think its very funny that Sire Sqwaks JUST posted his Charlie Stuffed and Cassidy theory (which is about the mci too) just for this to book to come out and break things
Another reason the MCI kids might be sticking around is because of guilt. I suspect that the boys from the MCI (Gabriel, Fritz, and Jeremy) were Michael's friends who helped him 'prank' crying child, and were afterwards targeted by Afton when he started murdering kids (Susie may have been targeted for teasing Crying Child and possibly egging the boys on during the party, and Cassidy may have very well just been an innocent bystander). So they could be sticking around both out of guilt and wanting to help crying child, as well as wanting to punish William. I believe that this is supported by one of the lines Glam Rock Freddy says in Security Breach when he mentions his friends are down there (that is if Michael is in Glam Rock Freddy). A minor related theory, recently I think one of the books mentioned an almost exact same setup as FNAF4 using 'nightmare gas'. So I think (as a minor retcon) we actually play as Michael in FNAF4 main game (not the end of night minigame that tells the Crying Child story). That was William's punishment for Michael, as he couldn't/wouldn't kill him (either 'I can't, he's my son' or 'death's too good for him'). And if Michael and the Spirits are in communication with each other, Michael's punishment may have been the inspiration for UCN as William's punishment.
There are still a couple of REALLY old automatons that still function, like The Writer. If you've never seen then, highly recommend checking them out. Truly a marvel of antique machinery!
Adding to this, it would make sense that the crying child's body was buried in the locked box. He was buried in a secluded part of a forest, so he likely never had a funeral, and wouldn't have been placed into a coffin
So... here's what I always assumed happened with the ghost kids: The animatronic Charlotte possessed was rain damaged, but intact. Once repaired, it would be fully functional, with an advanced AI (always thinking, very aware). Unlike the MCI kids, who were all stuffed into old, headless torsos. According to the books, in order for the remnant to fully give life to an automaton, it had to have a brain. By connecting the remnant of the kids in the torsos with the AI in the heads, Charlotte gives the kids back their consciousness and agency. Their ability to act in this world. Why? Because their unfinished business isn't just having a birthday party. It's the same as hers: they want to stop Afton. Put the whole thing to rest. In order to do that, they need to be able to act in the physical world, not just haunt the place where they died. In fact, if you put a pin in all the remnant scifi stuff and concentrate on the horror, the first two games -- where the animatronics attack the shit out of a night guard because they think he's Willaim Afton -- makes even more sense if they're trying to resolve their unfinished business. If you look at it that way, they're not just kids Afton killed, they're cursed, and the only way to lift the curse is to make sure Afton can't kill again. This is why Cassidy keeping Afton in his body was such a problem. As long as he was in this world, he could come back. And if he could come back, none of his victim could rest. That's the real reason Henry's plan didn't work -- it couldn't account for the Vengeful Spirit who would keep Afton alive out of spite. (Notice, at the end of UCN, the Golden Freddy suit doesn't have so much as a cigar burn? It's because Golden Freddy wasn't brought to the Pizzeria to be burned. Henry thought all the MCI victims were accounted for in Molten Freddy.) ((Unfinshed business would also explain why Afton always comes back: he wanted to be immortal. Ya'll can't finish business like that.))
Your theory also explains why there are animatronic foot prints by the grave in MNMotorist; maybe the possessed animatronics and/or mike led the bite victim to his body along
a great bonus to the standing up is getting to see your sweet kitty sitting and listening to the theory information. looking up at you while you talk, glancing away to consider and think, loafing because loafing...it's just adorable.
I like this theory. It's one of those ones that doesn't have much impact on the lore but cleans up plot holes so that more controversial theories can be reliably made. And the book gives perspective to what we were already assuming about the games, which is nice. Still though, it feels like a single good fnaf theory can't be made without a book theory in it, which is worrying.
I absolutely love how your kitty is so confused at first as to why you are standing. Don't worry kitty. We still see you. Standing brings more energy. I like it. Good idea.❤❤❤
I think it's more likely that William Afton didn't stuff the kids in the suit, Charlie did, in an attempt to give back to them what was stolen. In give gifts, give life, The Puppet finds them in a room, one of those sealed off employee only places? She proceeds to put them into their respective suits so that they can hopefully become like her, she's seeing this as saving their lives. I think this gives the minigame where the kids confront William in the backroom more meaning. To confront him in the place where they died.
This was my thinking too. The three ghosts, Bite victim, Cassidy, and Charlie are the main driving forces behind all super natural acts. Bite Victim gives pstd induced flashbacks, and his own memories to Michael. We can see this happen through fnaf 4, and through all the it's me events. Heck, the other ghosts could also be doing it too with the rare screens in fnaf 1 and 2. Charlie and Cassidy help BV, Charlie gets freed in fnaf sim. BV stays around till fnaf ucn and helps Cassidy let go of her anger so she can move on with the rest of the ghosts. FNAF world is the three main ghosts helping each other out. BV first, then Charlie, Then Cassidy. The ghosts staying till all of them are free
Quite honestly, while I feel this theory is a bit out there, I really like the idea of it! It would definitely explain the spirits and Charlotte giving gifts, giving life, though I do have some questions regarding the remnant within the animatronics if this theory is right. Maybe remnant is there even with the spirit no longer haunting the metal? Either way, great observations, and I hope to see more evidence of this theory come out soon enough. Everyone helping the crying child would be so sweet 😢
This idea was also touched on in “Coming Home” from Fazbear Frights. Susie gets ignored by everyone only to find out she’s been dead the whole time. It’s a really sad read. Especially since it’s about two sisters and I have a younger sister. If she ever died, I don’t know how I’d function.
I love the standing green screen. It ads so much energy, and reminds me of like, nakey jakey. I’d love to see standing green screen become a regular part of the content!
I heard an alright theory: Chika's anime bit is an on-the-nose retelling of how each original missing child was abducted by William. One being that he broke into their house and snatched them. Every other kill gets a sort of hint, like the dog being killed to lure a child, but Midnight Motorist seems closest to a hint that a kid was snatched from home.
I think the bite victim is attached to Mike and causes the Fnaf 4 dreams for Mike. Bite Victim was experimented on, Mike is just experiencing his memories.
i absolutely adore this perspective. amazing theory yet again, ryetoast. However, i DO want to point out my hesitation to believe that the Lump is Crying Child. Assuming the runaway in Midnight Motorist went to the Lump is an idea that is challenged by the fact that _nobody is present at the Lump itself._ I love the theory, of course, but this one thing is kind of tripping me up. Is there any potential explanation, or is it simply unaccounted for as of right now?
Loved the theory, would be interesting if that's what the ghost's can do. I feel like the animatronic's are more connected to the mimic. Maybe the ghost's did get released but the animatronic's were still fused with remnant.
once again, a well thought out theory. makes complete sense and explains (partially) the behavior of the animatronics to a extent. this is almost a john quality theory. where its not only convincing, its got that air tight seal that makes it reputable and even talked about. im sorry i was so harsh about the period of time when people thought mimic was burntrap. as a teen i can forget that these are just theories (until proven true), and it was wrong for me to be harsh. in the past 2-3 months you have really improved on theories and are getting really well at explaining the narrative!
And to top it all off "Father its me Michael it was right where you said it would be" might be refering to crying child body in midnight motorist (i think)
This is like that episode of Adventure Time where Ghost Princess (i think thats her name) and her friend/S.O can only move on by remembering how they died. Here the kids move on by finding their bodies which makes them remember how they died.
This is crazy, reddit FNAF theory community is going insane over GGGL and how kids possession happened and you post a video about this now. The timing is amazing
Man, do i like this theory i mean it makes sense for Midnight Motorist even though i kinda have a problem with the Ghosts need to see their Bodies to move on (i'd prefer it with finding ways to make the Ghosts remember their past live, but it would be the same i guess) it would also make sense with the Survival Logbook and CC trying to reach out for Mike in fnaf 1
You should do your videos how you want to. I love fanf but i also love the fact you make me and probably a lot of others think about this franchise completely different which is both good and healthy to be able to see this story in a different way then my own and cause of that ive been thinking of buying the books for my own read. Hope RyeToast and everyone here has a good day
For the most part I would prefer you remain seated. But I like the idea of reserving the pacing for a more 'unhinged' theories. Really bring some Charlie Kelley Pepe Silvia conspiracy board energy.
While I think this is all plausible, I have to ask: If Cassidy and Michael were on the same page about helping the crying child along with all of the other MCI spirits, why would Molten Freddy OR LEFTE have any reason to attack Michael in Pizza Sim? I think it’s possible to justify Molten Freddy attacking Michael if you assume Molten DCI is a thing and MCI kids found closure as soon as William died (except for Charlie who knew that William would stick around at least until his body was found), so Henry’s plan is to just release all of the DCI spirits (which makes sense given that he keeps emphasizing the word “again” in the insanity ending), but I can’t really think of a way to justify Charlie being aggressive towards Michael unless he and Cassidy started trying to help the crying child and just… never told Charlie about it
FNAF SB Afton Ending immediately came to mind: "She brought me here. I found myself for the first time. (...) I did not want to, but I had no choice. Now, I have a choice. I have changed." - Not Vanessa but the Puppet brought him there?! And then Glamrock Freddy has gained his awareness and decided not to move on. Possibly because of what is going on at the Pizzaplex and wanting to bring an end to all of it? Also explains the Puppet designs all over the Pizzaplex.

The fact that your cat is just sitting there with you the entire time while mine won’t even come near me unless I bring him to my room…
So... here's what I always assumed happened with the ghost kids: The animatronic Charlotte possessed was rain damaged, but intact.
Henry thought all the MCI victims were accounted for in Molten Freddy.)
((Unfinshed business would also explain why Afton always comes back: he wanted to be immortal.
You know something's going down when RyeToast is standing up.
I like standing and pacing, you’re serving early Wendigoon or Flawed Peacock, you have big “earnest and enthusiastic teacher” vibes
That pun at 11:25 was absolutely perfect!
I love this theory because it explains why we constantly see ITS ME in the fnaf games! Great theory and walking around is totally fine 😊
The fact that you did stand up in college makes perfect sense. Keep on dancing around rye 17:43
I love the standing green screen. It ads so much energy, and reminds me of like, nakey jakey. I’d love to see standing green screen become a regular part of the content!
I love the standing. The energy it brings is perfect for this channel
ALWAYS DO THE STANDING AND TALKING!! i already love your videos but your personality with standing up was just PERFECT
i would actually love a mix of chill sitting theories and chaotic standing theories this is so much fun
This entire intro gives off manic "I've done it! I've cracked the code" vibes and it's amazing
I love how your cat just sat on the chair for the entire video.
If Ryetoast sanding means we get cats sitting in the chair, then I’m all for it.
I really like the energy you have when standing. You seem a lot more excited about the theory.
I think the bite victim is attached to Mike and causes the Fnaf 4 dreams for Mike. Bite Victim was experimented on, Mike is just experiencing his memories.
Finally, someone who includes FNAF World in the lore!!! Thank you so effing much omfg!!!!
Keep standing! You looked like you were having so much fun walking around and ranting
I was!
I looove this theory
I feel that not enough emphasis was casted on Charlie/Puppet during the last games for the first part of the franchise.
I really liked the scentbird ad break. Learning to take care of yourself is so difficult, especially as a new parent.
I can 100% relate
I like how the cat is being smug in the chair all by himself.
i absolutely adore this perspective. amazing theory yet again, ryetoast.
And to top it all off
"Father its me Michael it was right where you said it would be" might be refering to crying child body in midnight motorist (i think)
Thank you! I always wondered how in the world Charlie “gave life”
the lore of secret things like start something from past that come now so cool man like fnaf really is so fascinating
16:14 It's almost like Cassidy and Micheal are trying to help the bite victim or something.
This is very interesting! I would totally be cool with this being canon.
"We're gonna start standing today!"
[Teleports into seat]
Are you gonna make an “Ultimate FNaF Timeline Theory”?, cause I’d love to see it
I don't mind the standing at all, since I usually listen to the videos in the background while I game.
I like when you brought out the books it felt like show and tell
This is like that episode of Adventure Time where Ghost Princess (i think thats her name) and her friend/S.O can only move on by remembering how they died. Here the kids move on by finding their bodies which makes them remember how they died.
ryetoast has unlocked a new skill: Stand
Jojo character fr
totally unrelated, but the spirits are so much more satisfying than the robots as far as lore goes. great video!
The ADHD energy of the pacing is a dopamine kick for me tbh. Love it more than I can put into words
This is crazy, reddit FNAF theory community is going insane over GGGL and how kids possession happened and you post a video about this now. The timing is amazing
I’ve never thought about fnaf world ending in a forest and the lump in the forest being connected, that makes sense now
You inspired me to make my own FNAF content! It's really fun to research and theorize
“It’s almost like Michael and Cassidy are working together to help the bite victim”
Hope RyeToast and everyone here has a good day
Really liked the standing and the explanation of the story
For the most part I would prefer you remain seated. But I like the idea of reserving the pacing for a more 'unhinged' theories. Really bring some Charlie Kelley Pepe Silvia conspiracy board energy.
i really liked this video, especiall the way you connected "it's me" and the logbook. great job dude
standing/walking/pacing rye is a vibeee
I just assumed you were standing because the cat took your chair. XD
Great conclusion to a grey video. The pacing was certainly not an issue, if anything I think it made the theory better :)
Standing while theorizing gives me accidentally double dosed my concerta and now I’m cutting promos on everyone energy
While I think this is all plausible, I have to ask: If Cassidy and Michael were on the same page about helping the crying child along with all of the other MCI spirits, why would Molten Freddy OR LEFTE have any reason to attack Michael in Pizza Sim? I think it’s possible to justify Molten Freddy attacking Michael if you assume Molten DCI is a thing and MCI kids found closure as soon as William died (except for Charlie who knew that William would stick around at least until his body was found), so Henry’s plan is to just release all of the DCI spirits (which makes sense given that he keeps emphasizing the word “again” in the insanity ending), but I can’t really think of a way to justify Charlie being aggressive towards Michael unless he and Cassidy started trying to help the crying child and just… never told Charlie about it
i really like this, like really! i like that you've focused on the vitcims in this story
at 11 mins in the cat is having an existential crisis about ghosts XD
Your cat is a very good loaf, and I love the use of Stardew Valley's summer music at 9:22 lol
I LOVED this theory! It ties up a lot and let's us know so much!
