The stock converter is 50/50 with a cam. It did ok at first but I had to eventually swap it to a circle D 3200 single disk converter. Before that it would idle surge a little now and then
Have you ever towed anything with the cam and converter? if so how well does it haul a load ? Looking into a similar build but need atleast light towing capability
For the cam kit install and retune it was $2500 and then another $1500 for new torque converter and e85 sensor with tune. Exhaust I just buy the parts and have a friend with a shop that welds it for me. Most places for headers and exhaust probably looking around 800-1000 depending on Brands and labor prices

Sounds mean! Do you have highflow cats? Also does it drone at interstate speeds or while towing anything? I would like a rowdy exhaust setup but would like to be comfortable towing 10 hours lol.
biggwigg338 I have not cats at all. My set up is loud and raspy 1-3 gear but once cruising at freeway speeds there is hardly a drone. It’s only loud when I really get into the throttle

No this didn’t clap like you’re talking about unless I was using manual mode and pushing the rpm’s.
did you ever drive it without upgrading the converter? and did it push through and thats why you upgraded?

Nope it’ll still be loud.
It'll be a bit quieter but not by a marginal degree if you need a drastic change in sound the biggest magnaflow/borlas you can get will help

It’s a 2/4 maxtrac drop
Did you have to do any transmission mods to support the cam?
Only thing I upgraded was the torque converter the transmission is stock.
Truck looking clean. I thought you had a 2/4 drop ? Did you go lower? How is the ride ? Do you get any vibrations?
MrJl2853 gets a little vibration around 90mph

What headers are you running and what exhaust besides the muffler
Speed engineering 1-7/8 to 3” Y pipe all 3” inch tubing with carven TR muffler. No cats or resonator
Also do you have a 5.3l or 6.2l, and is it upgraded in any way or stock
It’s a 5.3 with full bolt ons and a cam

Kacy Guettler it’s basically the same as the R just not as loud. Still has the same sounds just not as loud.
