I really wanted to see the comments on the video where Hugh decides to ignore his doctor's advice after having surgery on his nose... and just sing anyway. The energy in that room was soooo awesome, I wish I could have been there, even more so than in this scene

Fun fact: Hugh Jackman was on doctor’s orders not to sing after he had skin cancer removed from his nose. But he couldn’t take it anymore and sang this during rehearsal And when he was done, he torn opened the stitches and began to bleed, but he said it was worth it.
It wasn't rehearsal, it was the green light meeting with the studio. They had a well known musical theatre star come in to demo the supporting role and at the last minute asked him to also demo all of Hugh's songs because he wasn't allowed to sing them. After struggling through with his own illness on the day, he was looking forward to this song as he knew he could nail it. But Hugh started singing it and so he stepped aside. Then, at the end, he overheard Hugh telling someone that Zac Efron was available for the role he had just been singing.
After seeing the new Deadpool and Wolverine, it reminded me how versatile Hugh Jackman is. So I naturally rewatched The Greatest Showman & fell in love with this song/scene all over again! Great singers & the song is just so moving. But WATCHING this scene makes it even more powerful. These dancers are so talented & are having the best time, you can just tell!!! What an amazing song & scene !!!
Crazy that Wolverine and Barnum were played by the same actor. That's the joy of actors, they play like an intimidating or ass-kicking foul mouthed role then they have a role where they get to have fun and be more kid friendly

This is probably my favorite dance number in any musical. There is something so alive and supportive (in the camaraderie they all feel toward each other) about it.

what made me feel so touched in this movie is that when PT Barnum gave these unique people a place where they feel belonged, a place to call home. And when one of the unique people that PT Barnum first invited to his show is, realized that not only them who lost their homes but also Barnum she gave him his hat and his coat to bring his home back. It really is so beautiful that it also made my mother cry.
I absolutely hate musical. It always seem so cheesy and unrealistic to me. But Hugh managed to make me fall in love with this film. Got me feeling emotional through the whole film.
