Well said, sadly I came to that same conclusion relatively early. Not too far of a stretch from the real world and it’s history of malicious unforgivable acts against humanity. This was a good decision. Pieck came across as a fun aunt to the candidates when times were easy. But she also proved why she was chosen to begin with.

Still don't get how they made the warriors get the titans at such a young age as opposed to like at 25 years old when their brains get fully developed. It was clear that Porco was pretty good with his jaw titan when he got it when he was older. Grisha was also quite tough when he got the attack as an adult. Also stuff like Reiner runnin away after Marcel got eaten would not have been likely, or Marcel getting eaten even for that matter. Perhaps the first attack on the walls to get the founding titan may be more successful, who knows. Or maybe if even the adult warriors joined the training with Eren and scouts/military police, they might not have been caught or have the sorta breakdown that Reiner got with his split personality thing. I also wonder if the armoured titan went to get Eren during the scout mission instead of the female titan going would lead to a different outcome or a successful one. I think an adult female titan wouldn't have spared Armin since it was Annie who was catching feelings and to some extent that was due to her age being around the same as Armin. An adult female titan would just not be interested or just know it'd be wrong since Armin was a minor and the adult female won't be. So Armin would die, along with a whole ton of scouts. Also, the colossal wouldn't have been as unreliable with Bertolt, given Reiner found Bert unreliable.
I think it's because kids are easier to control than an adult. An adult might plot to go against Marley because they know the true nature of Marley.
Reiner for example kept thinking he is a hero doing a good thing for his people. A more mature person would've realize they're being manipulated a long time ago.

I write a book about this anime and in this book Oliver is the previous user of Cart Titan and he is the uncle of Pieck. Oliver Finger accepted the power of the Cart Titan when he was 12 because he wanted to help his very sick brother(Pieck's father). And after he died Pieck inherited the power so his father will continue his recover. This would make things more personal for Pieck.

Nothing about her other than being hot is interesting, no character development no good backstory litterally just there.
Pieck and zeke are big brained as heck. She also has a lot of love for the people in her turret where as the other titan shifters seemed like they could care less if other eldians died. She also didnt trust marley. I really appreciated her perspectives even if they got overshadowed by the other more popular shifters.

That’s because shifters live only for 13 years. Oliver could be older only if he inherited titan being already a grown man. But it is not convenient because shifter old faster than ordinary people, so he could die earlier than others because of natural causes. Xavier was not just a random guy, he was a famous scientist. Plus, children are easier to manipulate, so I guess that is why new generation of shifters was picked at very young age
