I feel like no one could’ve played Kendall the way Jeremy Strong does. He has this ability to make Kendall sympathetic and relatable in his pain that few could accomplish
He is really god level actor
He's incredible. So are Sarah Snook, Brian Cox and Kieran Culkin. Just a ridiculous cast.
But him and brian are still better than rest of the cast ,
@@wrestlinginfodude2644i personally think he and Sarah are the two best of the cast, all are amazing tho
Shiv immediately seeing Tom betrayed them and having to deal with all the emotion of that in one go leading to that LOOK at the end, the controlled rage in her eyes omg Sarah Snook deserves so much praise for her performance fr
She’s so iconic
NERO PUSHED HIS WIFE DOWN THE STAIRS AND MARRIED HIS FAVORITE SLAVE BOY SPORUS INSTEAD 😅
When that story Tom told Greg came back full circle in this finale, I was so impressed! It’s very satisfying screenwriting. Rewatching that office scene is an interesting glimpse into Tom’s psychology: his envy & manipulation, vulnerability & defensiveness, preoccupation with success, desperation for intimacy, etc.
I enjoy analyzing what motives/perspectives of characters in Succession foreshadow their later decisions. Tom’s arc was well done this season in my opinion.
Shiv's look at the end gives me chills
Jeremy as always is so great at making you feel shattered when Kendall is. Damn it, Jeremy.
One of the best actor currently working today
Roman pleading with Gerri is completely heartbreaking
The way Tom puts his hands on Shiv’s shoulders like Logan does in the shows intro credits… chills
Tom saw providing Logan value in this betrayal would put him in a far better position than with the siblings - including his wife who thinks of him as a second thought.
Not really, because Logan doesn't care about other people's loyalty.
He fired Frank in the first episode of the show, after 30 years of loyalty, because he needed to give Roman his job.
I'll never forget what it felt like watching this episode when it aired, wondering how I could possibly wait a whole year for the next episode 😂
The final season honestly cements this show as an all-time legend, I can't wait to see your reactions to it 👍🏿
Logan's relationships are strictly transactional. In exchange for Caroline agreeing to changing the kids' Logan gave her new husband the connections to the peerage he was looking for. In exchange for Tom diming out the kids' plan, Logan keeps Tom under his wing which is the leg up in the company Tom wants. The kids don't have anything Logan wants for the business so he feels no reason fold them in. Amazing writing and acting. Poor Connor. He just wants to be loved but no one seems to want his love.
What’s the worst that can happen with Willa, marriage doesn’t last and she walks with a multi million divorce settlement . Fuck it !
Exactly. I respect the hell out of her for being honest instead of saying a fake, energetic yes. I feel like Connor has the same mindset, too. He'll have a pre-nup made and if things don't work out, oh well.
FYI the scene should have ended earlier at the end, but director said keep it rolling. The actor for Tom went to hug Shiv and her actress played along, giving this destroyed look in front of the camera. I've never more respected these two actors than when I learnt this.
As I understood it, it was Sarah’s spontaneous decision to walk into the closeup, and then Matthew went along with it, and from there they just played off each other so well, it’s mind blowing!
That kiss of death. Boo soul, indeed.
The beginning of each season sort of parallels the finale. first season we have Kendall upset at Logan after Logan said he wouldn’t go through with announcing kendall as the successor and asks kendall if he’s going to cry. In the finale-kendall is crying in logan’s arms. Second season we see Kendall being pulled out of his retreat to prep talking about why he pulled out of the deal with sandy and stewy (for his dad) on national television, and the finale is kendall prepping in a similar room and then ultimately “killing” Logan on tv. This season, kendall wants all the kids to work together-in the finale it actually happens (whether it works out in their favor or not). every part of this show is so well thought out, the writing is incredible. everything serves a purpose.
Damn thats some good tv
Buckle up, fuckle heads, you’re about to go into the best season of television ever made.
I can’t wait to see your reactions!
One thing about Jeremy strong is he’s gonna make you feel every emotion from revealing the kid he killed to Tom betraying shiv what a tension filled episode love this show
Jeremy Strong is nothing short of phenomenal in his role as Kendall
idk if anyone else commented about it but the last 5 seconds of this episode perfectly emulates the shot of logan with his arms on shiv’s shoulders from the intro. crazy cinematography
That was accidental. That final shot was just Sarah improvising and Matthew going along with it. Beautiful shot nonetheless😊
I can't believe we are in the Succession endgame. Season 4 is an emotional gauntlet, just to warn you lol. This season was tough for the siblings and when they finally pulled it together they got screwed by the meat suit (Tom) and Cruella (their mum). PS. I really love Caroline's character.
They're probably finished by now but yes you're right
@@ladyhotep5189 I'm subscribed to their Patreon so I'm up to date with what they've posted. This was written 11 days ago lol.
I'll never forget seeing this as it premiered. When Logan patted Tom's shoulder at the end, it broke Twitter.
I feel like I can’t say this enough; the acting and editing in this show is beyond brilliant.
Every twitch in Kieran Culkins face is pure genious.
And Jeremy Strong makes you feel all the feels.
They are all so good!
Matthew Macfadyen ate up the whole season and he WON that Emmy 🤭
An awesome detail too is that when the kids barge in, who’s w Logan? Geri, Karl, and Frank. The Old guard, and they’re DOING THE WORK. All season, the kids have been taking shots and looking down on the old guys. But they’re who Logan depends on to get the real work done. Amazing.
Logan knew that the sale would be unpopular with the children. That's why he called HIS EMPLOYEES to work, not the children.
And you are talking like if Shiv and Roman didn't land big deals this season.
one of my favourite acting facts is that Jeremy Strong didn't know that there were gonna be catering staff coming out, moments before he told his siblings about what had happened. The director didn't tell him because he knew that he was gonna react to it. The fact you can see Jeremy's expression changing immediately and going with it, is just astonishing.
100% when this episode came out it was probably the best episode on the show, it is that good. But i can think of at least 2 episodes on season 4 that are even better.
I've always, ALWAYS had a place in my heart for Kendall. That scene broke me down dude. It broke me down. Can't wait to see season 4 reactions. I'm guessing you probably are done by now.
Tom is sneaky.😂
i never realized we dont see Kendalls kids after the waiter.. so him saying he felt so alone is so true. He didnt have anyone he was close to except Logan.
I just put together that the mom negotiated for the kids to get a say on the board after the divorce. But since the kids had so much power, Logan insisted he would raise them, thus control the board. I always wondered why Logan demanded he get the kids.
god your last comment makes so much sense
@@devoutgirl I wonder if the mom did that on purpose because she knew Logan would demand control of the kids? Because she says she shouldn’t have been a mother and she didn’t spend much time with them, even as adults. So she found the perfect way to convince Logan to take full custody of them.
Every season's finale is better than the last, in this show. Tom's betrayal at the end is, imo, the best moment of the show, up to this point. Its. Brutal, but *completely* in character, and Shiv deserves it SO hard.
Next season, amazingly, has an even better finale.
I can't wait to watch y'all finish it!
Tom is just a lucky guy. He keeps making stupid decisions, but the luck is always on his side.
I’m so happy to see new reactions to Succession, & you guys are doing great. This is an amazing episode. Imagine having to wait a year for more after this episode 🤦🏻♀️… Season 4 is a ride & a half. And I’m team Roman. He is another level this next season… soooo excited to watch you go into Season 4 🙌! It’s so fun to be able to re-watch thru new eyes. Great Job!
TOM ON TOP, lfg. He has been used his whole fucking life by them, finally a good move from him
Nah Tom is also a user ! He used Greg a lot in the earlier seasons.
Cant wait for you guys to get to 4x3
I had not clue that Tom had betrayed the babies the first time I watched this show. It went right over my head. Greg sucks and boy is he lucky to be in Tom's pocket. I cannot wait to watch you guys react to the best and last season of this show. It gets soooo much better.
They absolutely deserved it
The babies?
@@MsBoonoonoonoos 😂 Guess that was a Freudian slip. I probably meant to type kids.
i always get full body goosebumps at the end scene, their acting is impeccable and the reveal of Shiv finding out Tom betrayed her for his own benefit oh my god!! truly incredible!!
Zuff has me dying at 23:33😂😂😂
the perfect tv episode
we are waiting for season four, you'll be gaging
Sarah's acting in that last shot 👌👌
This episode is downright shakespearean. “You come in here with guns blazing and now they’ve turned to fuckjng sausages”
Where’s Season 4? Don’t stop now guys!
Was 3x10 reaction taken down? I can't find it in your channel
Angriest I’ve ever been at a fictional character is their mother this episode
Give Jeremy Strong ALL of the awards from here on out!
Zuff with the Logan goatee
Tom is the GOAT
Day 7 without Reel-Time: I’ve resorted to watching videos of people making houses out of mud because I have nothing to watch…
SEASON 4 FINNA BE CRAZYYYY
What is on your cap Bryce?
Kieran is the best actor on the show hands down. Especially in season 4.
Please watch big little lies!!
I haven’t finished the show yet but not sure if I would say Greg is a different person now. I think he was always the same but he kept that I’m so naive persona about him. He players better than all the kids
It was absolutely Tom who betrayed them, and it was an insanely savvy move. Logan always wins. Tom wants to climb, and he can kill the kids' coup by telling Logan what they are planning.
What does Tom get? Same as when he offered himself up to Logan for jail time: respect from the king. That's 2 Logan owes him, now.
I didn't catch it until this watchthrough, but I think Tom's the seat sniffer who got his leg up on Roman!
Yep Tom wants to climb, and not being dependent on shiv at all, is something that will also help with that. But also on a personal level he doesn't need to suck it up when she sees him as an after thought any longer.
Tom got his flaws. But he was smart enough to yet again realize, that it's never Logan who gets fucked over. It's the kids when they rebel against what Logan wants.
Imagine trusting Logan Roy. Lol. Logan is known for not being trustworthy. His sacrifice means nothing
@@kassiogomes8498 what did he sacrifice exactly?
@@johnjungkook2721 Shiv's trust.
The seat sniffer is Peter.
King tom
L to the mutha fuckin OG
I felt so bad for Shiv believing that it was Tom who betrayed her HOWEVER she just told him that she doesn’t really love him, asked for an open marriage on their wedding night, invited her lover to their wedding and was fine with him going to jail. She’s treated him like crap and it maybe came back around to haunt her.
All of the reasons for Tom finally looking out for himself over Shiv were laid out over all the seasons…a great earned moment
tom is also all about self interest lmao, this betrayal is not about getting back at shiv: he just thought logan has more to give him atp (espacially bc shiv doesnt want kids, which tom also wants as a sort of protection)
But the thing is that shiv knows what Tom wants? It's always been sort of clear to both of them that they wanted Tom to be at the top,it was their plan from the beginning. Shiv, however keeps fucking it up for Tom again and again@@vbb2076
connor stole this episode 100%
Day 28 requesting Violet Evergarden or Penny Dreadful :)
I saw an interview a while ago where Jeremy Strong said he didn’t realize Succession is supposed to be partly comedic, he thought it was all exclusively a drama. And I feel like that just made his performance even better haha
Kendal killed the kid, yes. There's no other way around it.
my god greg is fucking unbearable from now on
Yeah his character became super unlikeable very quickly 💀💀💀
