Only been playing a year and a half so not exactly a long time in which I've purchased 2 rifles and about to get my third. Listening to the internet no one that I knew at the time recommend cyma. So I didn't until I want a mp5. I bought a cheap blue edition high speed. Feck me it's amazing. It was greased from the factory. It was shimmed well. Apart from the nozzle it was perfect. I just changed the hop rubber and nub and stuck it back together. It was performing the same or better than modified mp5s and out ranging m4s. It became my favourite rifle after 1 game.
I have the same! I had an aster installed, new rubber, barrel and motor. Apart from external mods its came out to around 280 euros, and its a reeeeaal beaut! You could definitelly make do without the mosfet but i wanted something i would love just as much as my WE mp5
a 90 minute video? oh this outta be a treat Also, I think this video is much better than my tier list as you've had more experience with these brands. as always well done
Us: Luke: You take the red pill - you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes. Remember, all I'm offering is the truth - nothing more.
8:00 I completely agree with your assessment of WE rifles. I've never had an issue finding parts for my WE MSK, you just have to know what brands to avoid when upgrading!
That Silent Hill song remix in the background at around 5 minutes... No one can improve Silent Hill OST from Akira Yamaoka, they can only make it worse. Great video, though. Good to have an update from someone who has recent experience with a lot of brands.
Great to hear accurate feedback on BOLT, there is a lot of false information about them that normally comes from people that have never owned one. I have 6 BOLT AEGs and not one has let me down. The compression parts are fantastic, the best I've seen out the box, 100% airseal in every one. The barrels are 6.00 like Luke said and the quality of them is on par with ZCI, they are like glass inside and always clean from the factory. They perform great Out The Box, however, I gave them all a spring change and dropped a Jefftron Leviathan in them. In summary, BOLT make great guns with high quality internals as well as great external build quality and they kick very hard (twice as hard as my TM recoils, especially the AKS74U). Highly recommended.
Have three Cyma AEGs, two of them are AKs and an M16A1. Aside from some parts like the charging handle, or with my CM040D, the receive cracks at a specific area but it doesn't affect function. They're just dandy base guns that get you into airsoft for a good price (sometimes great deals if getting abroad) and while they're not E&L or LCT, they're still quite good. Their AKs tend to be the bread and butter for me at least.
This is pretty much the only recommendation I can take seriously, normal TH-cam haven't got a clue about the inner workings of these things so hearing that a techie likes a gun makes me more inclined to give them a chance, great vid
I had one of the G&G raiders a few years back. Before first skirmish my mates wired it to deans and swapped the hop rubber out for a 'better' one, and I believe took this little spring off the inner barrel by the hop cos one of my mates had one and found with his, it stopped misfeeds almost completely. that gun stood up to a wee bit of backyard fudd teching (though my skirmish mates were all sparkies/engineers, so I think they had atleast a bit of sense behind their work) to try and 'improve it' and not once did it kick up a complaint, it always fired consistently at the short to medium ranges of the site we used to play at on monday nights, and it stood up to some pretty intense semi auto cqb. (If you can call about 20-30 people ramming themselves into a 30-40mX10m killhouse in a warmup/warmdown game they always did once an evening at some point) Not sure how good the newer iteration of their combat machine line are, but for me, if someone wants recommending a cheapish M4, It will always be the older combat machines (CM16, raider 1.0, R8-L and that Mk18 knockoff one)
Really appreciate you uploading this video! Not only it brings much more quality insight in the current state of airsoft brands, but also gives some (tamed down :D) context regarding your other videos
From an Irish perspective - a Marui running at 1 Joule is perfect. Runs good on low-pressure gas. It just slips in under the legal limits here and you know if you don't put Green Gas in it, you don't have to worry about it ever going over the magic number because it's basically designed to hit the same limit we've got. They seem to be able to tolerate green gas - especially because it's colder here but they're perfectly happy on their native low-pressure stuff. I've bought some random crap for a group of friends that like to drink and plink at our BBQ's - and the Marui GBBR I have is the one that has gobsmacked anyone that's held it. The quality and feel is just an order of magnitude beyond the few pistols and AEG's we've experienced. The only drawback is the price.
I am really a big fan of your channels and I really love every single one of them. And I especially love this one, so much details and I bet there was no youtube channel ever done explaining the airsoft brands this detail, almost one hour and a half long...it was just amazing. Thank you so much for your detail explanation and sharing experiences. Have a wonderful day.
With my recent interest in Airsoft my first purchase is the M92 Berretta full metal by Double Bell. Great plinker out of the box, I did a little research into the hobby/sport and went down the modding/upgrading rabbit hole. My plinker's first modded shot went straight through a 2mm pain of glass at 10 meters with .25 plastic BB.
holy shit this is the most informative video I've ever seen to be this dense packed with info while also covering almost every brand I've ever heard of. Most people release shit that's 20 minutes long that has like 3 minutes worth of information. This shit is 90 for 90 minutes 100% pure info. Cheers.
Same here. I didn't think anything of that at first but when the picture was bigger and I start looking at it for a while I realize that looks like a trigger and trigger guard
Apparently, one of the designers at Classic Army wanted to start doing flat triggers years ago, and was denied because it would go against the logo lol
When I started airsoft had a rental (3-4 years old by that time) ICS Sig551 and was impressed with it. Then bought the exact same model completely new and it was a disaster!!! Could be just unlucky me getting faulty one, or their overall quality went to sheet. Now I own a pre-owned (!) Tokyo Marui and can't believe it's amazing quality!
I forgot to mention, UTG had made some aegs and shotguns back in the day. I still have my UTG mp5 I recently rebuilt as well. Great gun back in the day, besides the plastic bushings in a metal gearbox. Their shotguns were great too, I still have the full stock UTG m87LA, My friends werent pleased when I would slam fire it with .2s
Good advice regarding WE gas guns. They work fine and like you pointed out, spare parts are rather easy to find. I have a few VFC gas guns (they are very hit and miss, mostly miss unfortunately), and have actually found that you can order pretty much any spare part directly from VFC without problems.
I have bought 4 airsoft guns so far. First off was a G&G CM16 Raider-L. Horrible spring slap/shimming. While it didn't bug me at first, the whining noisy gearbox started to annoy me. These are supposed to be accurate, but accuracy on mine was lacking. Second was a KWA 1911A1. NS2 gas system. Doesn't have the issue where it loses the firing pin. (That is only the PTP.) The gun itself works great. The mag that came with it was fine, but the second mag I bought was leaky out of the box. Third gun I bought was a CYMA M14 SOCOM. By FAR the best AEG in my collection. Incredibly accurate out of the box, responsive trigger, and a smooth gearbox. I love it, and would recommend it without hesitation. Fourth gun I bought was an E&C 835. Bought it because it was an LVOA that didn't have a $200 Krytac Tax, but it had the same issues as the Raider. After sending it to be teched, I ended up spending the same amount I would have on a Krytac LVOA on it.
Gonna be honest CYMA is my favorite all around company I have multiple aegs that have been through hell and they still perform amazingly. My first aeg was a ak74n and it still has the stock motor and gearbox just a bit of grease and a hop up change now and then. It's almost 18 years old.
In an age of sicophant reviews its amazing to get a pretty much full picture of where the lines between brand name and product actually are, and their strengths/weaknesses.
Got an E&L platinum m4. Awesome awesome internals. Perfect AOE out of the box but shimming was too tight. Crazy good externals though the qc on mine was meh. Mine came with a gap between top and lower receiver and top receiver and rail. Otherwise it shot with a deviation of 3 fps and dead straight. It is quite heavy and feels like the real deal. Made in a factory where the real stuff is produced too.
The G&G comments are about what I've experienced. Feed issues in my ARP 556 fixed with Prommy bucking and barrel. Drilled out the hopup unit to fit the bucking so that'll get replaced next. Waiting on the mosfet to go before I replace with Perun. Otherwise, great gun, happy I paid more for a midrange gun as a new player so I'm dealing with less upkeep now.
Great insights, great music. That snake in the beginning, really beautiful. ( and the Silent Hill soundtrack just hit me in the feels) I really like the Sig 55x rifles, I bought one of those GHK's, quite sad that the quality isn't what it should be, externally it is beautiful though. Thank you and take care my good sir!
I've only been in airsoft for six months still yet to play a skirmish but I went shit crazy on by guns n accessories or after market performance parts. Each gun I've bought has broke on me just through practice firing. Everything from 3 krytacs 3 kwa 4 aps two rifles two gearboxes 1ics dmr 3 gg 1 lancer.... I've literally spent a grip of cash on m4 platforms if I had all the guns I bought I'd have near twenty m4s instead I have six I've spent hours on hours working on them. Now thanks to negative airsoft ( who I wished I had discovered in the begining) I have a small bit of know how when it comes to the v2gear box. It's been a fun journey I've got loads of spare parts but I love my six rifles cause I built them to my liking and they sound excellent and fire decent nothing to write home to. Thanks to you Luke love the channel you keep shit 100 n that's what separates you from the rest of these you tube tit suckers. Keep it up!!!!
I'm currently working on a Golden Eagle GBBR AR overview/review/"look I bought a thing look at it!" Video where I basically, buy it and change all the parts that make the thing work and tell you not to change all the parts out. (You can tell how its going 😅)
I guessed what neg was gonna say right off the bat. haha love this guy. Figured a big 1 was coming out since we didn't see you yesterday. Thanks for the content! Still have my BE XM8, just upgraded the internals. Good old sleeper.
Cyma put a smile on my face, i love my AK variant and it shoots really hard albeit very heavy in the front but sturdy enough that i could break a door / tree with it. It looks dope and people i know that have fled from war torn countries have held it and thought for a second that it was a real gun, only to be proven it is a toy once they see the magazine and the BB's. (anyone with gun experience will probably easily tell it's a BB gun) Nice video, there are so many brands here that i have never heard of before ! But as always i like your attitude and videos ! Keep it up :D
The STAR FNC was a hoot. The polycarbonate gearbox was awesome and quiet with its mechanical 3-round burst. The handguard wasn't ABS even, it was some sort of awesome polymer. Shouldn't had sold it, but the wires got stripped and I didn't know then how to solder. The S&T also made the Sterling SMG/Star Wars E-11. Unique gearbox and externals 99% made of steel. Mine still works and I kinda put it through hell lol, the hopup is absolute shit though.
I have shared the shit out of this to all my people. Hell of a great video luke!!!! For sure a hard one to top at the start of 2021!!!!!! Its like a movie....I laughed.....I got scared.....and I cried alittle.....then eventually ended up naked in the corner. Good shit
First game day my pals barrel fell off, then his motor kept dropping, now mostly doesn't even shoot and when it does it goes about 30m max, AVOID THE R8L
Well, what I noticed in airsoft, is that alot of people treat their gear like shit. I have GnGs and after all this time, if I showed you what it looks like you'd think it was just bough. No upgrades, no new parts in em nothing. Just good TLC.
It’s a good watch and complex subject you could do 10 podcasts on. Boat clip was funny, never seen that. I had to pucker up and hold on tight for the tm section but I made it through, I thought you would make me wait for it. I’m biased of course but I generally say good things about other brands and sell them, as you say cyma has come on leaps and bounds and is affordable for the masses but I had a 3 in 10 lemon rate verses a 1 in 100 for tm, cymas agile development having as many positives as it has negatives, and as a small store as much as people complain about uk shops only selling tm, the numbers and lack of extra hassle is certainly in the “more expensive guns” favour with regards head aches for shops. I find the tm argument generally one sided though, tm owners respecting a cyma or other brand owners choice because of a whole host of reasons with yes cost being one of them, but the other direction is in general nothing but hate and vitriol in my experience beyond the funny memes, a systema costs more than a tm, and I’ve nothing but respect for it as an airsoft gun, it’s not what I would choose personally and that’s where any commenting “should” end becuase in terms of problems or things that could need doing / could upgrade, every brand has something. I don’t get all the tm hate, I guess it’s taken a life of it’s own now, too take a negative airsoft stance I guess in a way I love tm, warts and all so don’t give to shits about others opinions but some of these discussions I’ve seen on fb have devolved into proper shit shows and when the over all perception of airsoft is impacted ie viewed as a bunch of nasty intolerant dicks, I draw the line then. We do generally have to learn a little more respect for people’s personal choices. And clearly from your video you agree it’s hard to balance pc compliance with sometimes the cold hard truth about a product. As a gun tech they all have merits any brand at the end of the day if you want a gun in a certain shape sometimes you have no choice on brand, you take what your given, but some of them are proper shits for getting any spare parts for and it’s hard to remain neutral, I had an mcx with a broken spring guide as example, cybergun and vfc basically blanking me, and I’m a shop which means a customers basically got no chance and now has a paper weight, and as gun techs we value being able to actually fix something in a world where cyma and other brands is making a rif that they consider throw away disposable. To some customers a 100 pound gun is max spend and they will not entertain disposable to describe there gun. The lack of spare parts and or parts has been around for the last 15 years and I can’t see going away or changing any time soon. Unfortunately. nothing is ever advertised with the info in this video, it’s advertised as an amazing gun when just as example raven g18 has pretty much a near 100% failure rate of the hammer and spring. If it was apple or Sony, they would be forced to do a recall on something like that, in airsoft your told to suck it up because that’s the way it is, and then the company that sold you it and the one that makes it refuse to sell you a part because it’s not available or they just don’t want the hassle. That said it’s a sub 70 gbp pistol so maybe the shops right or makers right. I’d say people should check reviews but an unboxing isn’t going to tell you anything about long term reliability and it’s rare for people to give unbiased long term review either for or against. What ever brand, your pretty much certain of one thing, it’s a toy and at some point that toy will break or you will break it. I prefer to identify repairable and serviceable as a primary tick box for whether to buy, but if that was the case for every one I don’t think many brands would sell many guns unless it was an m4 that’s roughly somewhere near tm specs haha 😆 Fuck that went tldr quickly
I only see TM recoils in a broken state & they're always modified in some way - leave them alone & they keep going all weekend. it's why I won't touch them... too fucking expensive in every way on every level & the more you do to it, the worse it gets.
Oh, and unboxing vids kill my soul - how the fuck do you know what's reliable if the guy unboxing the video has a brand new release he's been given for free? That's not reliable.
Well I mean my own personal experience is I just ain’t gonna pay for a TM when I could get something else for usually cheaper and it feels better quality. Especially pistols, I’ve had a TM Hi-Capa and used several other TMs, and I have to say I have an issue paying so much for a pistol that feels like shit quality and to get a metal slide will cost another 50 odd quid on top of a typically £120+ initial pistol price... hell, my slide started deforming just from using standard green gas because of the slide catch... If people like TM then fair enough, but personally I just don’t care if they’re the “pioneers” of the industry or loved by fans, I’m sure as hell glad I managed to sell mine and I don’t intend to get anything else TM unless it’s something that catches my interest like their KSG. 😂
@@NegativeAirsoftTech Imagine be airsoft player in Poland, almost every single gun is modified, with fps limits like 350 semi in cqb, 450 full auto outdoors, 550 dmrs, 650-700 bolt action, and when i want to buy TM NGRS (because i just love the look, more proper colours, markings, and the featuers like bolt stop), i have to pay something like 2300-3000 PLN (when you will consider avg polish salary, you have gun that basically costs 2500 USD, and you have to pay another equivalent of 1500-2000 USD for tune up, because you have to, 700 PLN stock CYMA AK will have 420-430 fps, it will outrange you, there is no fucking way TM with 290 fps will compete with it (sorry guys, thats reality) and ofc every other guns, like i said avg polish AR have something like 430-440 fps, as much as i love TM (mainly for gas pistols) i see the disadventages, they are definietly not cost effective guns, in fact i would say they are one of the worst value for money (NGRS system, not gas pistols/ars), probably only Systema and DAS have even worse vfm. PS. The most popular brands in Poland are CYMA (AKs only, M4s have bad rep in PL, btw cyma glock aeps are probably the most popular handguns), Specna Arms (they are clearly in good light in PL, because they are affordable, just like Cyma), VFC (and ye, avalon is better, but selectors are trash, and almost every VFC gun in PL doesn't have single VFC part inside), Krytac, G&G, older G&P, KWA, and WE, Army, TM gas pistols, for sniper rifles TM, Silverback, Amoeba and Modify, A&K M249 is the most popular lmg platform, followed by Krytac lmg.
I did not know I needed this video in my life. Thanks for that And I hope I understood you correctly that you'll be making a simullar video about internal parts manufacturers... can't wait!
Very well done! Definitely learned a few things. My wife Bought me a ICS Par MK3 probably 6 years ago now. I did a DMR build on it because it’s to dam heavy to run around as an assaulter with LOL. Anyway it was my first serious build from the inside out and I liked the split gearbox for being able to work on the two parts of the gearbox separate. Work on the shimming and drivetrain on one end then work on your compression stuff on the other. Just made it easier to learn then worry about it all popping up and what not putting it together. But I did break a couple tappets along the way ended up putting a blue Lonex tappet in and knock on wood it’s been fine. Sorry Long one keep up the great tech videos
I did a similar vid but haven’t posted it. I show a VFC 1911 and a KWC 1911 which in my opinion are by far the best easily accessible 1911 you can buy but are identical 100% to each other . Only the KWC Air gun versions are made much stronger and only have smaller flute valves. Everything else is the same including the hop ups! They use the same mags wether BB or Airsoft, obviously they have dif size feedlips but buying an airsoft mag works identical in the air gun BB versions. I buy the BB versions to custom build,We the people” Tanfoglio Witness”,Colts,etc...(the field strippable full BBack metal BB) and i use the EF/VFC Airsoft inner and outer threaded barrels, which are sold all in one pack ready to go everywhere for $20! Initially It was the only way to have a “We the people”1911 in Airsoft without making a custom one. You just buy airsoft mags and that’s it! Now you have a solid CNC 5000 grade Alloy vs a 2-3000 grade cast alloy that airsoft guns are made of. I’ve polished dozens of Elite Force tacs and Tanfoglio or other KWC frames and slides and it’s night in day the amount of elbow grease it takes to polish a KWC vs the VFC even though all parts are perfectly interchangeable. The ASG CZ are made so solid in both Airsoft and BB and though people say KJW is ASG the KJW CZ are completely different in everyway! They couldn’t be made any diffferent. Another example is all KWC Air gun Legend series revolvers use a 2014 Copper base Alloy vs the same Airsoft revolvers using a 3000 grade cast Alloy,no copper under the finish though all are considered “Aircraft grade” The worst 1911 by far are the WE 1911 including their other similar style pistols like the WE HighPoint,i show that in the vid using a that brushed WE cartel 1911 and compare it to the latter. It’s mostly the guide rod, spring and it’s hop, keeping them from cycling correctly. They’re also made of 2000grade cast aluminum and is why you don’t find any C02 We pistols. I still love some We stuff though. AW is garbage! All their full auto pistols don’t function after one mag! I have two different AW high cappas and both were returned and the new ones both were the same “bouncy two piece safety/full auto selector” causes trigger lock up after every shot. Hx2032 is the worst of the two $189.99 each! I’m unboxing the A&K FN 249 Heavy weight ,long MK1 tonight! Ha! Sorry for the book i wrote but how else am i gonna tell you how i agree? Check out my Arp9 unboxing please! Thanks for all your time maen! Oh i mainly watched this fir all your takes and info on Cyma. I consider you an expert on the in and outs of Cyma. I’ve stated this a lot when people on FB or Evike Qs ask about anything Cyma,I just send them to your channel!
I was listening to this whilst editing images and had sort of gone into a zen state... Then that came up and I was all "Oh wait, has it fini... WTF is this? it's amazing"
I was surprised Double Eagle got as good of a rating as you gave them; I heard a lot of negative things about them but honestly my first AEG was a Double Eagle AK, and although I have some issues with the externals quality, it performed great when I used it on the field, and although now I recently upgraded to a Tokyo Marui AK, the Double Eagle still would be good as a backup if my TM ever took a shit, or if a friend wanted to get started I wouldn't feel guilty lending him my DE gun because I know it performs good.
Buying my first few guns in the next weeks and thats been an immense help and saved me a mistake with VFC..I'd already shortlisted a Specna Core/Edge series MK18 against a few of theirs so thats pretty much a definite for Specna and the Edge with a milfet after this.I was drawn just on looks before to the CYMA AK-74SU thing as well as the fact its cheap as a back up if main gun fails as I have no knowledge to fix on the day/cqb gun but was concerned about quality/ performance the only downside is I cant find one in stock anywhere.I was also drawn to the AGM MP40 just for a classic looking SMG but to hear its actually good and useable is nice..Big thanks as you aren't just helping mid experienced players but near noobs are avoiding pitfalls with help like this
In Italy we're lucky that the power output for airsoft guns is 1Joule (330 fps if I'm not mistaken), the same as Japan. So we don't have to change literally nothing to TM guns and they just last. It's so low that even VFC are good
Not good, decent, kinda underwhelming when compared to a cyma... Unfortunately our "local" shops sell the old cymas so they don't have a good reputation, calico jack is the only shop who sells the blue edition series at a nice price
Amazing list, I didn't know many of these brands. The only "big names" I missed were Well, Modify, KJ Works, Action Army and Amoeba (yes, I know they are Ares), but one hour and half is too much to even ask for more.
Very interesting video, knew there was a lot of rebranding going on but didn't expect this much. Fun to hear which was which. But I have a question to people, which will come after a short intro.... (Please bear with me) Agree with most of it too, as someone who likes the odd and different (for my region,) so I have a ICS L85 I quite like but sadly stuff broke so had to open it. Gone through Cyma's and overall they are just decent as he said. Not bad and you can do amazing things with them. Specna has been nothing but good, the two M4's and the HK I have had are all amazing to work on and play with. Not to mention the Ares Tar21 which I adore. The few G&G things I have had my hands on are AK5's and a F2000 and.. Not that impressed. The people I know that properly put time and money on them are happy so... Good for them. I had a CA G3 that I do miss but had to get rid of as I actually got the Cold war rifle I wanted, a King arms FAL. But have been teching my ass of trying to get it to work... Actual question: How the hell do you fix the fire select on a KA fal and make it stay in place proper? it works from time to time and if I tilt it to one side... Can't get it to stick at all. P.S. Love your vids, keep up the good work! Also cute pets you have.
Fuck that your absolutely right! For a cylinder head it doesn't make too much sense but for threads (which is what it was designed for) its getting its intended use out of it
So glad I found this while having a beer and bonfire! Do you feel like any of your options have changed since this video? Recently found your channel and loving it!
I recently bought a new Krytac Trident Mk2 CRB version. I know, I know, I've heard you in this video and your other ones... I was participating in the whole GameStop stock market craziness and I managed to pull out a decent profit in a very short timeframe, so I decided to splurge some of that "free" money on the Apple/Reebok of airsoft world. It does have that typical Krytac annoying whine going on, but the gun shoots straight into the top of the pine tree that I use as my 'target' when I test my airsoft toys from the balcony (100ish feet away). Compared to my G&G CM16 Raider which I've been using since 2017... well, I can't even compare those 2, Krytac is just so much more accurate and the range is so much better. Now, I did adjust the motor just a smidge higher into the gearbox and it's reduced the squeakiness noticeably, but it can still be heard. Do you reckon I just leave the squealing sounds as they are, and send to a local tech when/if something breaks, or should I preemptively do something right away to improve the longevity of the internals? I'm planning to use LiPo 11.1, I'll switch to Deans connector soon as well, I've had so much trouble with Tamiya on my G&G CM16 I don't want to subject Krytac and myself to that same torture again.
Still got my KWA G19 that I bought in 2005 and an AABB Hera GCC kit, it's a shame you can't still get hold of them because as a starter GBB it still beats the pants off any of this WE/Nuprol Raven/etc stuff, only thing I've found in a similar price range that I personally think is as solid as a starter GBB is the KJW P-09. I'd be amazed if Bolt actually have 6.00mm barrels, over the years the thing I've observed pretty consistantly is people using digital verniers to measure the ID of inner barrels, they are just not accurate enough for something in the 6.00mm - 6.08mm range and will normally measure undersize. That barrel you think is a 6.04mm is probably actually 6.08mm, a 6.00mm barrel measured with them is probably a 6.04mm. Bore isn't the be all and end all anyway, can have the tightest bore possible but if the drawing isn't good, crowning poor and the milling at the hopup end done badly it'll suck.
I can confirm the crappiness of the Luger. I know a guy who has one and it literally explodes into pieces every third shot - no exaggeration. And when it isn't self destructing it shoots in every single direction except forward.
This is the video that drew me into your channel. I quit airsoft more than 10 years ago and it's funny how you remember brands from that time. JG though... They really stopped making aomething new.
I have had many WE guns. I really like their rifles. I really like their spare parts supply chain. I don't like their glock (because the outer barrels snap and are loose in the slide), and the XDM (also outer barrel fitment, loose slide on the rail). Their Hicapa is pretty good, those outer barrels fit tight in the slide, but the operating mechanism such as the slide catch and safety lever tend to wear out quick. I have had many of those cheap Chinese guns such as A&K, JG, CYMA... and they are great considering their price and I usually throw in some upgrade internals as mentioned. What you said about them is 100% accurate. I don't have to feel bad about scratching them unlike those really expensive collector's investment type guns. KJW is pretty decent TM's GBB are probably the best in terms of reliability, accuracy, and overall quality... even the plastic ones. Their plastics are better than some of those Chinese metals! The irony with TM is there are a billion companies making "upgrade" parts for their stuff but the originals tend to perform better. I mostly agreed with this video and therefore give it a 10/10 Wish it existed a few years, like 10 years earlier than today lmao
what do you think about E&C now? (East Crane) ? i just got one and externals are TOP NOTCH internals are O.K. (change rubber and barrel and you get a decent AR)
Can confirm the WE Luger is a POS. Bought with a snail mag for memes...Worked for about a week then it turned full auto on me, leaky and just general hell. Changed to a tougher spring which briefly fixed the full auto but only for another week or so - now it gathers dust in the corner. (Standard mags always leaked hence the quick switch to the snail mag)
Please pin this you loveable tosspot.

The clip about the ship with the front falling off was hilarious
Only been playing a year and a half so not exactly a long time in which I've purchased 2 rifles and about to get my third. Listening to the internet no one that I knew at the time recommend cyma. So I didn't until I want a mp5. I bought a cheap blue edition high speed. Feck me it's amazing. It was greased from the factory. It was shimmed well. Apart from the nozzle it was perfect. I just changed the hop rubber and nub and stuck it back together. It was performing the same or better than modified mp5s and out ranging m4s. It became my favourite rifle after 1 game.
I really wish they sold more cyma stuff here in the states, i really want their other guns...
Have the same mp5 its so under rated.
@@totalfailforfun4721 yeah all vfc for the elite force mp5a4 and a5 but the competition guns i have no idea
I have the same! I had an aster installed, new rubber, barrel and motor. Apart from external mods its came out to around 280 euros, and its a reeeeaal beaut! You could definitelly make do without the mosfet but i wanted something i would love just as much as my WE mp5
The gun and the new stuff probably costs 1/5 of a TM mp5
a 90 minute video? oh this outta be a treat
Also, I think this video is much better than my tier list as you've had more experience with these brands.
as always well done

I completely agree with your assessment of WE rifles.
I 100% agree, it's just too depressing to keep peoples attention.
You wait for the final track... that's blasphemy
Totally agree, Yamaoka is a genius.
Ff7 remix in the beginning ftmfw!

Have a wonderful day.
as a marui owner, right on spot, as long you don't upgrade it, (leave as it is) no broken, no gas leak, it leave as it is

Cheers.

I just realized that the classic army logo looks like a trigger :o
Same here. I didn't think anything of that at first but when the picture was bigger and I start looking at it for a while I realize that looks like a trigger and trigger guard
Apparently, one of the designers at Classic Army wanted to start doing flat triggers years ago, and was denied because it would go against the logo lol
I thought everyone instantly saw it. I guess its designer also thought so lol
I just realized the trigger looks like a C and an A.
Negative Airsoft: The Movie!
E&C definitely needs to be on this list. They are the OEM gun for specna arms and provide a great cheap base.
I'm missing my one fav. cheap manufacturer: KJWork. But alright, can't catch em all, I get that.
Thanks for the effort, putting this together.
Great insights, great music. That snake in the beginning, really beautiful. ( and the Silent Hill soundtrack just hit me in the feels)
I really like the Sig 55x rifles, I bought one of those GHK's, quite sad that the quality isn't what it should be, externally it is beautiful though.
Thank you and take care my good sir!
Funny thing with double bell aks, if you look at Pheas Airsoft recent double bell AK unboxing, the manual literally has kalash written on it XDXD
Any chance of a link to the soundtrack? Slick remixes
I have rewatched this video and sent it to many people. Fantastic
Possibly due to me living outside the environment had effects on my finical decisions obviously
(anyone with gun experience will probably easily tell it's a BB gun)
Nice video, there are so many brands here that i have never heard of before ! But as always i like your attitude and videos ! Keep it up :D
Funny I just emailed you the otherday about this, shouldve just waited for the video!
Super informative, and a tech commision to book end it to bravo!
Good shit
My first RIF, My G&G R8-L front end left off. thank you for that skit 🤣😅
Same with my cm16 raider L
I prefer to identify repairable and serviceable as a primary tick box for whether to buy, but if that was the case for every one I don’t think many brands would sell many guns unless it was an m4 that’s roughly somewhere near tm specs haha 😆
Fuck that went tldr quickly
I only see TM recoils in a broken state & they're always modified in some way - leave them alone & they keep going all weekend. it's why I won't touch them... too fucking expensive in every way on every level & the more you do to it, the worse it gets.
Oh, and unboxing vids kill my soul - how the fuck do you know what's reliable if the guy unboxing the video has a brand new release he's been given for free? That's not reliable.
@@NegativeAirsoftTech only time a unboxing is legitimate if you buy it yourself.

Thanks for that
And I hope I understood you correctly that you'll be making a simullar video about internal parts manufacturers...
I broke a VFC 1911 almost instantly but I never opened it up... If it's the KWC design, I'm not shocked...
Interesting take on the AW. I this review @Negative Airsoft says they are better then WE.
Ok, that clip about the front falling off.... that was the most entertaining and random clip I've ever seen hahahaha
That is the funniest clip ever bro I'm dying I'm late for work I don't even care

"Buy a Fuckin CYMA"
90 minute video summed up in 2 seconds.
You're welcome.
Many thanks for the information and it's nice to be able to tune the guns for better performance and shoot ability. 😊
Buying my first few guns in the next weeks and thats been an immense help and saved me a mistake with VFC..I'd already shortlisted a Specna Core/Edge series MK18 against a few of theirs so thats pretty much a definite for Specna and the Edge with a milfet after this.I was drawn just on looks before to the CYMA AK-74SU thing as well as the fact its cheap as a back up if main gun fails as I have no knowledge to fix on the day/cqb gun but was concerned about quality/ performance the only downside is I cant find one in stock anywhere.I was also drawn to the AGM MP40 just for a classic looking SMG but to hear its actually good and useable is nice..Big thanks as you aren't just helping mid experienced players but near noobs are avoiding pitfalls with help like this
So if I want an MP5SD Cyma is the way to go? My wallet thanks you Luke :)
It is. The cyma mp5s are better than the JG mp5s and they work reliably.
I like the way you host your show, it's refreshing keep it reel.
I try
From what I've found out, Raven is rebranded SY (Ssan Yang) - Chinese Uber cheap OEM

(Please bear with me)
Agree with most of it too, as someone who likes the odd and different (for my region,) so I have a ICS L85 I quite like but sadly stuff broke so had to open it.
Just want to mention HK3 is the distributor for WE, shops use them as branding since they would otherwise have no brand.
Nice 1911 build at the start, and that sig looks so nice
My friend bought one, strait out the box it would only two or three shot burst 😂 but he did run it until it officially died after a year
The first music I’m almost positive is a remix of the FF7 reactor theme! Took me ages to figure out why I recognised it 🤣
1:56 So that's how you are able to afford all these nice Airsoft guns 😂
Would love to see updated version of this with all the names suggested in comments,my being armaArmament
I built a Double Bell 812 (14.5" Geissele 416) and it was a more than decent base for a build.
Very useful and unique. No one didn't had the balls to do it before you. Respect.
Thank you for great video. Can't wait for breakdown of airsoft parts manufacturers!
This is the video that drew me into your channel. I quit airsoft more than 10 years ago and it's funny how you remember brands from that time. JG though... They really stopped making aomething new.
This is the first good airsoft brand review I have seen.
GHK AK first thing to do.. scrap all internals and upgreat with full steel + a steel full travel bolt. then the gun just shoots all day long
I have had many WE guns.
KJW is pretty decent
TM's GBB are probably the best in terms of reliability, accuracy, and overall quality... even the plastic ones. Their plastics are better than some of those Chinese metals! The irony with TM is there are a billion companies making "upgrade" parts for their stuff but the originals tend to perform better.
I mostly agreed with this video and therefore give it a 10/10
Wish it existed a few years, like 10 years earlier than today lmao
Cyma platinum mosfets are absolutely adequate for the cast majority of builds including dsg and high fps. Just my opinion from experience.
More videos like this please! Or more tech tips! Great work as always man!
thanks for this videos, make me update popular/regular brands thesedays.
what do you think about E&C now? (East Crane) ? i just got one and externals are TOP NOTCH internals are O.K. (change rubber and barrel and you get a decent AR)
Glad to hear cyma makes a good aeg I had just bought one it’ll be my first airsoft gun
Also where’s the premium brand ukarms??
Cymas are great for a first gun.
@@gunsmoke132 or 2nd or 3rd
My first 2 airsoft replicas I bought together was the G&G CM16 and the cyma m870 full metal replica.
I waited two weeks for the right time to watch this.
VFC is the greatest manufacturer off all time
Would love to see Luke's face reading it
This is the podcast i needed when i started airsoft.
Sweet vid bro! Good to see someone with the tech knowledge take the time to do this.
You got an opinion on E&C?
Was E&C on the video?
