- The Ford F150 got some upgrades for the 2024 model. Ford gas the vehicle some exterior and interior changes, streamlined the packaged options and introduced the STX as its own unique trim level. You'll find most of the same engines choices, body styles and box sizes! This year the F150 has up to 13,500 lb towing capacity and max payload up to 2,445 lbs, which will vary depending on how you have the truck built.
In this video I cover off everything that you need to know about the 2024 F150. You'll learn about the payload and towing capacity, interior/exterior space and so much more!

Best review/preview of this truck on TH-cam. Great job bud
Thank you, appreciate that!
STX is becoming my favourite
It'll be the new XLT for some owners that don't care about the extra features!
@@CarsWithSteve exactly
Steve great job man!
Thanks Josip!
Picking mine up today can’t wait!
That's exciting! What color did you go for?
Great looking truck. Nice job
Thank you!
This guy is awesome. I want that truck now!
Haha thanks!
Best video yet explaining these trucks.
Thanks for the info.
Hopefully you can do a video like this for the 250.
I’m in the market for a truck and still trying to decide between a 150 and 250.
Thank you! I was in a Tremor 350 late last year - th-cam.com/video/wrFjqZyGRfQ/w-d-xo.html and the '23 250 that has similar features to the '24 - th-cam.com/video/kWX-6kWvrX8/w-d-xo.html
edit:
What are your payload/towing needs?
Great detailed video that outlines differences.👏 on the STX will the ride and handling change from the black package to the FX4 package? I’m curious if the FX4 package is a softer ride or more stiff?
Thanks Ryan! The overall handling won't change from STX to STX Black Appearance because suspension will be the same. But the FX4 will have the upgraded suspension and all terrain tires that'll make it feel a bit more stiff and a little louder
Just bought a 2024 2.7 with nitro ridge grapplers on it, had our first big rain storm in FL, and it did AWFUL in the rain, hydroplaned going 14 mph.
Surprising the all terrain tire had you hydroplaning at that low of a speed. New tires I'm assuming right?
Great presentation - Ford needs to add a power seat option. It’s still the base model XL with a paint and grill upgrade.
Thanks John! Power seat has been XLT 302a+ for a while now so I'm not surprised they didn't add it into this lower trim. Would be nice to be able to add it though
Hi Steve How Are You Could You Review The 2024 Genesis G70 Sport
And 2024 Ford Expedition Platinum Max And 2024 Ford Bronco Big Bend
Hey Sunjib! I'm in the G70 in a few weeks, did the Platinum Max a few months back th-cam.com/video/nVI4FD4glrc/w-d-xo.html
And Bronco video is being shot this summer
The Powerboost should have been made available with the STX
Agree with you there. Having the pay an extra $3k for the XLT 300a just to get it is a bit much
I would buy a stx but you can’t option it with the 3.5. I can only pick 2.7 or 5.0.
Ohh I should point out available engine options based on trim levels for future videos..
Would you do black out package or fx4 for the stx trim
Depends on what the plan for the truck is.. if you're never going off-road or doing it occasionally then the black out pack would make sense. If you're planning on more trail drives or off-road for job sites, the FX4 would make more sense
I have 2021 STX with the FX4 package. 3.5 TT with 3.55 rear end. No 3.5 no deal. Bummer dude!
XLT 300a would be close but you're looking at $3kish more for the added features
Do you recommend me to keep my Raptor 2022 or upgrade to the 2024 F150 stx model
Interesting question.. depends on what you do with a truck. If you're going off-road then the Raptor would make sense. If you're looking to save money on gas or want something smaller a trade could be better. What would be the reason why you'd want to move from a Raptor to an STX?
@@CarsWithSteve Just love change I am one of the bored men if the commodity took a long time with me or I am enjoying the Raptor as a vehicle and I am afraid to sell the rapter and then go back to buy again because I felt that who owns a raptor cannot use anyone else
Makes sense. If you don't have use for the Raptor anymore it wouldn't hurt to trade it in. Take one for a spin at a dealer or rent one if you can find one on Turo to see how you feel
When I build the sxt on the web site and selected the Black appearance, as you have on this video, it still shows me the blue Ford emblem, but you have a Black one, is it something you upgraded after or it supose to come with the package? I am in east Canada btw... Thx!
Just an oversight from Ford, it'll have the black badges if you go for that pack! If you look at the description of the appearance pack on the Ford website it shows black badging in the included elements
@@CarsWithSteve okay thx, that is what the sales man told me today! Thx for your videos!
you're welcome!
Are you Everythingapplepros brother? 😂
Haha I do have that look.. but nope :P
One of the reasons I would move up to xlt is that cheap plastic steering wheel on the stx.
Just the steering wheel? ;)
@@CarsWithSteve of course! It’s literally the one thing you touch the entire time inside. It’s a damn shame ford cheaps out on that. That plus no 360 camera is also a big reason to move up.
Makes sense... the 360 camera and opening up different engine options would my reason to jump into at least the XLT
Holy smokes this guy really wants you to upgrade out of this truck.
By pointing out the features on a base level truck?
LIKE 2024 FORD F150 STX LEARN OBOUT F150 TO 🫠🫠👍👍
🙏🙏
STX or XLT Base, that is the question 🤔
An extra $3k for running boards, auto-dimming rearview, dual zone climate, under seat storage, power driver seat, zone lighting and 360 camera.. If you don't care about the extra features and want a more basic truck the STX could be the way to go
Resale value of the XLT might be higher
Most likely
@@CarsWithSteve I am wondering if the XLT 301a comes with leather wrapped steering wheel 🤔
I think it does th-cam.com/video/DOO_hgEW1s4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=8THAy6taAe4P4hz0
Nice but you lost my attention at the 2.7 ecobust
It's a solid engine unless you're constantly towing or don't take care of your ride..
@@CarsWithSteve Steve, I’m sure it is. I have a 2020 XL CC 2.7 EB 4x4 issued to me for my job with 100k on it. But I wouldn’t buy one.
@@hwoutdoors1862 why wouldn't you buy one?
This truck should cost $24995
Let's hop into my Delorean and go back 15 years to when that was possible
Bro it sucks
How so?
Im getting one but i hear the halogen lights are crap and dim apparently at night.... is this true ?
If it's a 2024 model, it'll have LED headlamps, so no issue with visibility. Even then.. in previous years the halogen are still pretty bright! Always the option to upgrade to a different bulb though if you want something brighter
