I was blessed to see June, Johnny, and their ensemble perform two concerts in Boston in 1969 or 1970. What an amazing group of talented artists at the peak of their performing abilities. I will never forget those concerts.

When I was a little boy in the 1950s the most popular music for my family came from Mother Maybelle and The Carter Sisters, and June Carter was an important part of that group.
How could you not love June Carter. She learned Carter picking from Mother Mabelle Carter, has an authentic country voice, and she's got a wonderful comedy sense.
This was back when there were other stars like Johnny and June in country music. Our culture appreciated these musicians of unique talent, personal integrity, thoughtful manners and a delightful genuine sense of humor always! Love love June 💕💕💕

It is based on documents and Johnny's first children discussing what happened and also, the first wife's book, "I Walked the Line" By the way, the song "I Walk the Line "was Written for Vivien. We all have a tendency to want to believe what has been manipulated for us to believe rather than deal with reality and truth. But should we??

She was an entertainer her entire life along with her sisters. Her down to earth personality was genuine, not part of the act.
That song on the Autoharp (?) was really cool! That June was just a tad quirky (in a good way), but adorable!! Johnny sure put her through a lot in the early days. Im so happy that the rest of their lives was a sweet love story!!! 💘
