Hi Mat ,
I find your video’s to be a magic way of learning to communicate with our male friends. Especially as I am 70 + years, and possibly the oldest female in our Bible study group held here locally in Whangarei NZ . It is very difficult to reinvent yourself . So to speak. Especially having been Married for 52 years. After our separation in December 2022. I found it very difficult to socialise at all in mixed company . Until a wonderful couple we had known many years ago . Invited me to join them for a Christmas get together on the 23rd of December 2023. My second Christmas to be separated from our family. Due to the nature of our separation.
I wasn’t aware that it was going to be a large gathering of about 50 + people. Otherwise I would never have gone for sure. Far to humble and shy to attend a Bible study group end of year celebration. On arriving. I was terrified at how many vehicles, and what was more daunting the number of people gathered around the table .starting off with a beautiful shared lunch and then a Christmas sing along, as well as gospel songs. Then a beautiful church service taken by Ted Pryce.
After a beautiful meal this lady had prepared for all their guests.
As cell phones seem to be the only form of communication for most households these days I found it very difficult to know what to say in a text As I hadn’t been in touch with this beautiful couple since 2005. We had spent Christmas Day together. Then we lost touch as Ted and Noy moved away from the church I attended back then,
To make things a little more complicated. Ted is a Jamician man, and Noy comes from the Phillipines . With limited English speaking experience. I decided to phone them back my response to say I would love to come. Thinking it was just going to be them and myself. Now that I was separated
Ted didn’t let on that it was a large group of friends gathering together to share in their end of year worship together. I arrived a little later than the arranged meeting time . Due to heavy traffic volumes that day. But I was soon made very welcome by the whole group, and quickly made some wonderful new friends. Friends are Family we choose for ourselves.
I am now part of this wonderful group of Christians enjoying their fellowship ,and Bible studies.
But we do have to communicate with each other mainly through text messages.
There is as many males in the group as females . Most of our communication wit each other is done by texting. Eg if there is a change of time or venue for our study night.
The men would range in age from early 60’s down to the younger members in their early twenties .
So this was a huge step for me to communicate with the men folk. Especially the more mature ones.
How to send them a message or scriptures sharing in an appropriate manner. Was a huge challenge for me at first. It was not until I stumbled on your video that I was able to reply back to the men folk of our group so thank you for your help. It has made me feel like I am part Of the group without the embarrassment of not knowing what was appropriate to share with a group of Christian men. Being a more mature lady. On her own. So thank you for sharing your experience with us. On texting men folk . Has made my life a whole bunch easier with regards to texting these men in our group 🙏👍
It certainly made it a whole lot easier for me to communicate with the whole group as a family in Jesus Christ. Without feeling overwhelmed by everything that you wanted to communicate. But not over step the order in which we live as Christians. By that I mean God in the head of the church then comes Jesus. Then our men folk and us ladies are under our husbands or the men of our church.

Yeah from my experience most men can‘t handle it in a good way, they over-interpret and want to rush into things.
I like to take it slowly, so I avoid texting and prefer a phone call.
After not having any contact over the weekend, I sent him a text Monday morning asking him what was one thing that made him smile over the weekend. He said that was a beautiful question ❤

Receiving a lovely compliment from one of the younger men in our church service held out doors on Sunday. About how sensible , and amazing I looked in my clothes I was wearing . On that hot summer’s afternoon I felt like ,a million dollars like I was the Queen, and he was complimenting her on her outfit.. not to make you feel uncomfortable. Or not sure how to respond or receive that compliment. It wasn’t supposed to be taken in a flirtatious manner. It was delivered brilliantly by this young man . Almost like he was complimenting his mother on her outfit. Mum had chosen for her Sunday best . Thank you Tony you are a very special young man

My boyfriend helps a friend of his by shovelling and cutting the grass. This person is physically unable to do that anymore. I have told him many times how kind and thoughtful he is to do that for her and he just shrugs it off.
One of my friends doesn't really say anything when I tell him things I appreciate about him or give him compliments. I think he just doesn't feel comfortable accepting compliments.

I know that the guy I am interested in is seeing other females we have not been going out long so I am not in a position of playing clingy. I just want him to notice me and want to be with me. We click and I feel there is really something to pursue but I am not sure he feels the same way
It's okay to want someone to notice you, but make sure you're both on the same page. Have an honest chat about your feelings and see where it leads. Your feelings matter too!
This kinda scares me but thank you. Im a weirdo. And i do all these things naturually and guys say im weird and i repel them pretty quickly.
