How much did that rear end cost you. I have a 2006 Crown Vic LX with upgraded Springs and Monroe magnum heavy duty springed struts. Also Got a 1 inch billit aluminum riser. Was having issues with the rear sagging while towing.
I used 1996 F-150 manual fill air shocks on my 2000 Vic interceptor rear end, works in keeping the fenders wells off the 15×10 inch wide tires on the back. Pump it up with air at the truck stop for free . You can use F-150 springs to bring it up too. Mustang springs lower it , F-150 takes it up , regular Vic springs for in the middle height.
@@TravisMcKnight-lk7gg I ended up going with 1 inch riser on the rear springs and changed to the moog rear springs with the monroe magnum heavy duty springed struts in the rear. The rear end does not dip down at all anymore when towing any of my trailers.
@@paulshamblin6260 No, totally different setup inside it and unless you know the difference between the open and limited slip design, its just recommended to swap the entire rear differential instead.
Why do you have to swap the diff cover? 🤔
Does a x5 code work for a 2007 mercury grand marquis
My code says c8
Yes
@@pnwvibe3123 thanks for the fast response and helpful video
C8 is a 2.73 open diff I believe@@raulchavira5529
@raulchavira5529 nice you have the most desired diff 3.55 lsd
Very helpful, thanks man 💪🏼🇺🇸🇮🇹

X5 is 3.27 lsd. The 3.55 code is c6
What could I put in my lincoln town car
Same axle
Is it the same for 96 crown Vic
Should be as long as it’s a ford 8.8
Can't you just swap the gears and axles?

Yes
Nice video
Why didn’t you just open up the rear end and swap out the internals seriously somebody answered that for me I’m just curious maybe there’s a reason
Tried that first, ended up with a bad noise.
If you do that you have to shim and adjust the backlash. Not everyone has the capability to do it. I might try it
Cool
