hi, ✅✔✔UPDATE: No more 3 deaths rule, instead I will drop & lose ALL my gear every 3 deaths starting next episode, including the loot on my horse. | This will be a FULL PLAYTHROUGH of hardcore mode Kingdom Come Deliverance. :)
I actually recently re-watched your first play-through of KCD. I was missing this game so much. I'm so excited that you're taking us on this new hardcore adventure! :) Also, if it makes you feel better, I cry every dang time Henry's parents die. EVERY SINGLE TIME!
Here are some tips: 1. Luck of the Drunk is the most overpowered perk in the game. 2. You can get 5 uses out of 1 potion by applying it to 5 water skins (doesn't work on saviour schnapps). Dollmaker is the best poison to put on your weapons in my opinion. 3. You can boost your skills with potions to buy higher tier lessons from trainers. 4. Maces and hammers are op (I think the Heavy Warhammer with a spike is the best because the spike is amazing). 5. Doing tournaments one after another will turn you into an absolute unit (first learn master strikes and buy combat related skill training lessons asap also if you need help winning tournaments use bucks blood and embrocation potions because they last longer than others). When you do combos remember that you don't need to select a direction on every strike, for example if you swing top right your next swing will be automatically bottom left.
*Here is a tip if you are in need of a lot of money but merchants only give you like 2k groschen:* Get yourself a lot of stolen goods / combat loot (either from stealing in Rattay or farming high level Skalitz bandits). Break into miller Peshek's chest (it's behind a locked door in a barn to the left when you leave the mill). Best to do this at night. Deposit all your stolen goods in his chest. In about 3 days Peshek will "return these items to their rightful owners" in exchange for loads of money, which he'll store back in his chest. Withdraw whatever you think your fair share is. I myself try to not use this exploit too much, but I think it's justified in all-negatives hardcore mode ;)
No Kidding! Train on other weapons besides only shortsword as well. The Raven's Beak War Hammer is the best weapon against heavily armored targets. Swords can't cut through plate. Axes are good all around. But you will want an axe MADE FOR WAR! Not one that's been pressed into service by necessity.
@@feldweible I'm not a huge fan of blunt weapons. They make the game too easy against heavily armored men-at-arms in the end game and they kind of suck at killing those annoying peasant bandits. They also have very little reach. I'm more into swords and axes. Axes are more versatile while swords spice things up a bit against end game opponents. They also have more combos and I love doing them when they work.
I hadn't realised it was your first hard-core play through. I was expecting too much from you when I suggested only one death. What's important is that you are able to enjoy playing the game again while we enjoy the story and enjoy your struggles. Therefore, don't worry about the number of lives you give yourself. Especially if you haven't played hard-core before and you're not going to grind your levels up off camera, etc. Most of all, thank you for playing KCD again. Each playthough for me has always shown different outcomes for certain quests. These are always a pleasure to discover. I look forward to more Henry Shenanigans!
I know right! I'm on my third playthrough and have had a third different experience just with the Rattay executioner. First time I killed him, second found I could help him be happily married, and this time around I found I could help him by sabotaging an execution😂
Great to see you replaying KCD Hardcore Mode it has a great historical story in it but I'm enjoying seeing it again and i think you are doing an awesome job with it but until time take care Lilia.⚔🧀🧀⚔
I'm doing a hardcore/all negative buffs run right now, also trying for the virgin and no-kill achievements. A "virtuous" run (trying not to steal either, although I've had to make some exceptions). (I'm not doing a 3-deaths rule or perma-death run.) Running around Bohemia with no weapons, I'm having to really rely on stealth and unarmed combat, and trying to level charisma so I can try sweet-talking people. It's a game-changer. Mutt's a big help in distracting bandits so I can make a get-away, or so I can sneak up on them or sucker-punch them.
I am really happy finding out you will do another playthrough and on HARDCORE. It will be so much fun! NOOOO,not this3 deaths limit!! Please, do a complete play through ❤
Your first playthroughs is one of my favourites :D (of any game and any creator) I think a complete playthrough with all negative perks would be more fun to watch than death limits :D

I appreciate that I didn't get to play this game until after all the DLCs were released. Especially with Mutt, obviously the creators meant for him to be with you, but they didn't give him a unique skin or you the Houndmaster skill until later. Hans used to feel absent in the game after the hunt, but his DLC gives him a good flow of quests throughout the game. Things like that. I also remember how much trouble TH-camrs had with rain and optimization originally, whereas my basic gaming computer is doing fine (admittedly, on Medium settings). The King's Silver is the only quest I've had tons of bugs on so far, and I'm doing everything I can. Forget the three lives like others have said. Just roleplay like you have one to challenge yourself to make "hardcore" decisions, but don't worry about f ups, especially after a 6 year hiatus from the game. Train hard with Captain Bernard, get your master strikes, wait for master strike opportunities rather than go on the offensive in the Tourney, win good armor, things get easy. But being overconfident will always hand you your arse. I always assume bandits have a group, lure one away at a time with arrows, and retreat far enough that the others don't join. Especially important before stealth and archery skills become independently useful.
My favourite game. Please start the three lives again, I may be wrong, but I think people just want to see you play this game for as long as possible. Also, because it is hardcore, do the Punch Me - Milan quest where you do the bare-knuckle fighting, great way to level up strength and combat early game. You could do the Treasure maps as well; it is the best way to get good armour and groschen early game, which you will need to stay alive in between training sessions.
I’m so here for this entire playthrough! I watched your entire let’s play of KCD back in the day and can’t wait to see the hardcore playthrough. Damn it’s gonna be a long wait till KCD2 release 😢
I don't think you should limit to 3 lives since it is your first hardcore run. One of the best tips I could offer is to buy drinking water when you see it from the innkeepers so that you can apply your potions to for cheap extras.
I support your plea for a complete play through but don’t understand what advantage there is applying a potion to drinking water since you cannot portion drinking water to get more use out of the potion.
Lilia, please buy some quick horse and equip it properly. You will be able to fly over the map in 50-60 speed. It's an absolute must-have in hard core mode. Don't wait for Pebbles.
@@LiliaTV Well, the overall best are Jenda (Merhojed) and Al-Buraq (Neuhof). You get anywhere in constant gallop on the map with them. But both are tier 5 and expensive. I wouldn't go under 39 speed, so Pegasus (Uzhitz) and Binky (Merhojed). Still not cheap, you can't carry every junk you find, may fall off now and then at the beginning. But the speed is really rewarding. If you don't want to travel far, then Tulpar from Neuhof, but he has lower stamina. You have to equip the horse with military horseshoes (Uzhitz, Neuhof, Rattay blacksmith), they are expensive but make the biggest difference. Steering gear and light saddle also make a bit of a difference. You surely find the way, if not resources ;)
So glad to watch you playing KCD again! I would prefer fewer cuts and just a continuous playthrough though. To me that breaks the atmosphere somewhat. I don't think you need to restrict yourself to 3 lives.
Agreed- no need to edit these down so much. Part of the fun of a let's play to me is kinda settling in for a slower paced chill time. Hardcore mode is meant to be even more slow paced since there's no fast travel, though I don't mind uneventful travel or shopping being cut. I do get that you're probably cutting down the tutorial more than you will the rest of the game, but just my two cents.
Alright, you convinced me and just got it on Steam. I wanted to use your referal, but they don't offer the royal edition. Oh well. Thanks Lilia, the only drawback is that I'm gonna have to hold off on watching the whole video.
Great decision! And remember - there is no shame to invest perks into running, so you can run away from your problems... Fighting is now the last option.
1. The intro/outtro music is dope. 2. I think you shouldn't limit yourself with an amount of lives. Hardcore and the negative perks will probably be challenging enough.
Gonna replay this alongside you, but just not in hardcore mode because I’m chicken… Love to see you replaying the game though! And love the long episodes!!!
Can we all in agreement tell Lilia that first death shouldnt count? the game should have let her jump over the tiny river but instead it added an invisible wall to keep you from running in the wrong direction. Perhaps first deaths should count after Rattay.
I only play on hard core. And have finished it 3 times. I still die a bunch, because I do everything difficult. My recommendation is to level up all of the non combat first especially the alchemy. Also and sorry if this is a spoiler. But the saving thing is not exactly true. There are other ways and places to save.
0k pay attention to where the ambushed happen. They are Static and at the same places all the time. Also travel off road as much as you can to avoid the ambushed. You will die on if ambushed especially early on.
Glad I found your channel again. I played this game through when it was new on Xbox. I never was able to open one locked chest. Plus the combat system sucks. I doubt if I will pay $70 for the new KCD 2 in December. I wish KCD 1 was heavily modded so I could play through as a OP Hero and have fun sneaking around stealing from Chest.
You can go back to skalitz, as you head inside by the right, knights will be fighting each other. Sneak past them to the right, go towards the back and wait 1 hr for them to leave. Their equipment can carry you for the most part of the game. Best part is, you can do it several times.
Since you explicitly asked for advice: Look up the list of timed quests, so you know what is actually time sensitive and what is not. Since it's possible to start a quest without meaning to it's important to know that, especially with limited saving. Just missing out on timed quests isn't as satisfying when you're not playing blind anymore. I do think you should still roll with mistakes, that's one of my favorite things about your channel, but the lack of timed quest indications is just a place the game needs help since it gives so many mixed messages.
Bit busy to watch right now but wanted to throw alike and comment in early to appease the Algorithm gods, lol Looking forward to sitting down and watching the whole thing. I miss Henry! Makes me want to play through again :P
1:40:29 Exactly my thoughts. I noticed it already the first time playing the game. Let’s be honest: completely ignoring his dead mother is 100% unnatural and abnormal. PS the exact same thing will happen at the end of the game when Henry says a long farewell to his dead father but not one word to his dead mother - again.
2+ hours 🤔 Gonna have to watch this one in pieces, but I wanted to get in early and add some words so that the all mighty algorithm believes (rightly 😊) that this is an awesome video, worth recommending to the internet hoards! Edit: I'd say go ahead and reset your death counter, though truth be told, I'm enjoying this play-through enough that I'd rather not have a game over hanging over the series 😆 Medieval Bohemia is a cruel and unforgiving world, it would be a shame if your questing ended to some random robber along the road before you made any real progress.
You can do it I have played it on hardcore but not all the bad perks I almost finished it but maybe but my saves got deleted if you can get a bow and arrows you can shot the sheep and cow's and build up your skills. But don't let people see you but you have to knock out a guard but might have to pick up plants to get leg day.
@@LiliaTV it's okay I guess but with 100 power hitting arrows one or two will bring down the cows and sheep. But better hunting arrows will take three or four arrows but you will likely have to use a lower bow because of hardcore. But I guess it will depend on what you say to Henry's mom
@@LiliaTV if you can kill the cows and sheep cook them and then you can sell them all and take everything from the traders the animals will keep coming back after a short timeframe
@@LiliaTV I never tried it after Skalzes but I'm sure you still can build up your skills on sheep and cow's. The easiest way is with a bow because they run away. Dare to game used a sword on the sheep. I guess you can but it's harder because you have to chase them.
If you think you are losing in a fight it doesnt really help to run because by that point your stamina is very low. Your chances are better when you stay fighting
Maybe you can have a +1 life every time you reach some sort of milestone 🤔 I've installed the game today for the first time so I may use this series as walkthrough
After the guard tells you can lean against the wall you can do back to sleep for a hour or two but with nightmares sleep a hour and then go back on watch for a hour or wait bye then the nightmare should be over.
If you’re looking to get back into the combat, I’d recommend extra training with Captain Bernard before going to see Nightengale, the guard. Once your sword skill hits 3, I think, you can ask Bernard to teach you master strikes. Don’t forget to learn combos too. You can spend perk points on new combos, but if Bernard hasn’t given you that lesson, they won’t work.
The rules are whatever you want them to be. I don't have a problem with you restarting the 3 death rule after the prologue. I recommend tackling some bandit camps. It will earn you some groschen, and you can use them to sharpen your combat skills. The first few camps are relatively easy to tackle once you're properly trained with master strokes.
Gather herbs and take the perk that increases your strength when you do it. You can make money easily and remember that MOST of the mushrooms are FOOD!
I can't believe you've massively nerfed yourself to play hardcore! Having played it for the first time in 5 years, early game is hard enough on normal! And my first tip, too late is to rinse all the herbs in the prologue and you can probably even get the perk where you gain strength for picking herbs before you're burying your folks.
Man i remember when this game was thought to have really good graphics. Just got done playing Hellblade 2 and this game looks so old graphically in comparison. Still love it btw, just commenting on how far stuff has advanced.
Oh and one more thing I would like to point out. And this is a huge spoiler so everyone do not read on if you don't want to know this................... The sword they were making at the beginning of the game. That sword was for Henry. A gift from his father.
Maybe rather instead of a death limit something like a score system, or achievements that you sum up in the end, and the death count affects this negatively. Then still there is an incentive to not die, but if it happens, it happens and doesn’t mean you have to stop playing at some point.
It's the same but mutt was black or brown before they changed his color. But he can go along with you from a woman lot but in. KCD2 he will be with you but not sure if you can pick if he comes along with you or lf you leave him behind.
I plants until I can just pay the hangman for the ring also a low skilled sword I bought one that only needed one skill to use. The problem is with nightmares and the helmet your skills drop down two wait until nightmares end or don't use a helmet but then one hit in the head your dead.
I suggest you just tally the number of times you get killed instead of stopping at three. I don't want to see you stop playing this if you hit the limit.
just stay off the main roads when you go back to skalitz, you don't need to actually fight anyone except zbishek and runt which are scripted, anyone else is easily avoided if you don't go right on the road

Here are some tips:

@@LiliaTVYou’re welcome. By the way you should probably lock on to your opponents.

But don't let people see you but you have to knock out a guard but might have to pick up plants to get leg day.
Thanks! Sorry about your saves. :(
@@LiliaTV it's okay I guess but with 100 power hitting arrows one or two will bring down the cows and sheep.
@SULLIEDASP oh does this only apply to Skalitz and the prologue? I get to Rattay by the end of the video 😁
@@LiliaTV I never tried it after Skalzes but I'm sure you still can build up your skills on sheep and cow's. The easiest way is with a bow because they run away. Dare to game used a sword on the sheep. I guess you can but it's harder because you have to chase them.
Adventure awaits!
Maybe German beer can count as 1ups if you find some, steal some or buy some.
Lol maybe something like that could work
Started playing again lol thanks lil
Np np
If you think you are losing in a fight it doesnt really help to run because by that point your stamina is very low. Your chances are better when you stay fighting
Yeah, running is always risky in this game
Maybe you can have a +1 life every time you reach some sort of milestone 🤔
I've installed the game today for the first time so I may use this series as walkthrough
Yeah I like this idea! No idea what the milestone would be though.. hmm
You did well for this game, and I would be so glade if you decided to play the last of us 2 cause I would really like to see you react to it.
I played a bit of it when it came out but the drama in the community made me drop it unfortunately. Maybe it's calmed down a bit now
I can't believe you've massively nerfed yourself to play hardcore!
No idea is bad if it’s funny.
You didn't pick Final Offer? The blacksmith is insulted, and rejected your poor offer...
Oh and one more thing I would like to point out. And this is a huge spoiler so everyone do not read on if you don't want to know this...................
The sword they were making at the beginning of the game. That sword was for Henry. A gift from his father.
You can lockpick also if you get caught trying to steal armor and give up they will put you outside the gate
Maybe rather instead of a death limit something like a score system, or achievements that you sum up in the end, and the death count affects this negatively. Then still there is an incentive to not die, but if it happens, it happens and doesn’t mean you have to stop playing at some point.
This game is too janky for a death limit 😄
Yeah kinda true lol
👍👍
Wait, you knocked out Adam? Your Biancas brother?
Jesus Christ be praised!

IMO, "Hardcore" mode makes this game not enjoyable.
