I like your channel. You have a lot of good games on there. Subnautica is awesome, but I can understand people’s fear of deep dark places.
You did much better getting into the Aurora this time. I remember feeling bad for you while you struggled to get in during the full playthrough. I kept wishing that chat would mention lifepod 19 sooner. If you had been able to listen to more radio messages, you probably would have had that one, and you might have finished in time. I was impressed that you were able to parkour on the first try to get into the Aurora. I have almost 1K hours in this game, and I just craft the propulsion canon because its so much easier.
Everyone has thalassaphobia, lol. Especially when leviathan class creatures could be lurking around the next corner.
Subnautica is a terrific game with some terror moments but it is not a horror game.
I still love it. Still in my top ten.
Things are not static. Some games I can get the cyclops engine without crossing the ridge into Roy's territory and others I have to scour that valley of death.
I’m fascinated by all things aquatic, but the thought of seaweed touching my feet freaks me out lol

The last time I played this, I was so bad about losing my sea moths to game glitches and monsters that I started naming them with numbers. The last see moth I had was I think like number 9, maybe 10. I would lose so many of them parking too close to a land mass and it would glitch into the ground so I could not get back in, those served as nice markers for areas. I used to head toward #3 a lot. :D
psst,.... hint here if the antenna is still sticking out of the sand you can use floaters to lift it out, or if you stuck on metal the propulsion might work? had luck with it sometimes not sure if they change that
What about the fear of vast unknown spaces. I felt this playing this game. First time I felt that was playing Kerbal Space Program and never knew I had it before.

Just like old times, bringing back some memories 😄 Didn't make the challenge but you did excellent I thought. That was good getting right up against the Aurora (I know, where you don't like to be 😁) and moving towards the front near the surface and slipping in the opening as soon as you get there. I don't know if they changed it with updates but it used to be if you're down low there are places you can get in but you end up kind of getting stuck in the geometry. And there's no reason to get near the back of the ship, Roy be reapin' back there 😄
I have yet to beat this game. I spend too much time building and not doing what I need to beat it. And those scary monsters, and dark areas really do a number on my already bad blood pressure and anxiety. So I always play for a few weeks, then uninstall for a few months, and rinse and repeat. One day I hope to finish it, maybe on my Steam deck so the small screen will not affect me as much. :D
I didn't know how bad mine was until I played this game this year is serious and this game will confront you with this fear if you have it

One of my most frustrating things in this game until I finally build the Prawn is how hard it is to find all the materials I need. I get so frustrated I will quit, then come back the next day and try again. :D

Next level subnautica : play it in VR :p Megalophobia is kinda of weird... because wouldnt like skyscrapper be a trigger for you?? Skyscrapper from up close when youre at the bottom and you look up is quite ``scary`` if you have that phobia... or no? Anyway I really cant wait for Subnautica 3, I hope its on unreal engine 5 and its photorealistic... and we can play it in VR... thatd be scary and amazing. They're supposed to announce it this year soooo the sooner the better.
I really tried to finish Sub 1 but without anyway to punch those monsters in the nose I just could not get over the hump.
Now Sub Zero on the other hand gives you a stun gag that's lets you survive encounters where Sub 1 would not, and I finished that one.
Yes it's a fright fest but it is an amazing thing to play.
Sub 1 has a static rifle that stuns em in a place and also the mount/ships have energy defence.....And knife for the small ones to run away 👍

love this game bought it early on early access on steam... same with below zero then bought it on ps4 both then ps5 and also the switch completed on each to and i hate water that i cant see the bottom of looking forward to subby 3

You're panicking about Reaper Leviathans where none exist.
ProTip: There is only ever one type of leviathan per biome.
When you see Reefback Leviathans, that's what you're hearing, and they are the only ones in the area.
