- After have spent several years in the stewardship of Nacon and KT Racing, the WRC license has now shifted over to Codemasters and EA Sports, and with the former being a master of rally racing sims, there’s plenty of reason to be excited about the upcoming EA Sports WRC.
Touting next-gen graphical and technical improvements and promising an experience that will be stuffed full of content and an obsessive level of authenticity and attention to detail right from launch, the upcoming WRC game has certainly turned a fair few heads in the days and weeks leading up to its release.

Yeah Codie's rally games are usually quite good i'v ehad quite a bit of fun playing the Dirt games so this should b egood. I' m buying it as well.
@@sjsharp2007 Yeah Dirt 4 was/is my favourite, even over WRC9 and Rally 2.0, although i really do like 2.0.
@@Mark-mu4pj Yeah to be fai rthe yd oa pretty goo djob with all thei rracing games. Granted I skipped F1 22 but F1 23 isstill quite good fun.
@@sjsharp2007 Same skipped F1 22, i didn't think it was that great, F1 2019 was better than 20-21-22 in my option, definitely going to play F1 23, apparently it's got better handling, story etc.

To be fair this outlet is for the masses so I guess fair enough, there are reviews from more hardcore sim racers though that have a more in depth opinion on the game if you want that.
@@jayden1709 agree with you, I watched so much videos from simracers with this expensive sim rigs, but I play with gamepad, so want to know abot this game from the casuals that I consider them to be. But I didn't get info about how this game feels on gamepad or atleast is it fun to play. They just list modes and features which are in the game and that's it
@@_Fomi4_ ahh yeah that's a fair enough point actually, it would have been nice to hear how it felt instead of just info about what modes the game offers, I've been kind of curious about how it feels on a game pad as well but idk if there are any decent previews using a gamepad that say how it feels. Hopefully it's like DiRT Rally 2.0 and feels really good using a gamepad considering the genre.

All i want to know is that can we still able to play the full game content without online or ps plus
Builder mode should be more expanded in my opinion, we should be able to choose from various car makes to really make our own dream rally car, gutted they dont have old school ford fiestas or even renault clio mk 182 or v6 models.
think they have the clio s1600. would be cool to see a proper 172/182 in the game though. shouldve had one in gran turismo 7 imo

Codemasters already loves putting $4.99 dlc in their game, probably one of the biggest reasons EA wanted to be the publisher for the new upcoming title

Given it has a career mode I think it can be played offline but not 100% sure

I don’t think they quit nailed the sense of speed but I’m very excited for the rest of it. The co-driver calls seem a bit monotone compared to DR2.0

you should try watching some other players footage, they are able to drive much more on the edge and trust me it looks fast as fuck
Will it have haptic feedback for the PS5 controller a lot of the videos I've seen are all about simulation and guys with big rigs. The majority of players play with the controller probably 90% of people who buy this game will be playing with a controller so what is it like to play the game with a controller that would be the first question I would be asking if I was doing a before you buy video
90% will be on a wheel. 90% racing anything good on a wheel. Should be law. Go play forza on your lil pad.

Cancelled my pre order for WRC 23, because EA have rendered my wheel unusable after the Grid Legends update in September. They haven't fixed it yet.

My opinion based on reviews and TH-cam videos:
Number of cars/specials, game mode: 10/10
Driving, car behavior: 8/10
Car modeling: 7/10
Graphics/Environment/Ambiance...: 6/10
Already pre ordered. No one will talk me out of it. I play everyday

Classic cars will have also classic drivers?
Will it be possible to drive whole careers with classic cars? I'm not interested in the modern ones at all.
not the main career but it seems you can setup custom championships.
It runs on unreal engine so hopefully someone will make a mod for classic careers at some point.

Wrong. Cars have a new cabin sound recorded from from the cab perspective instead of being faked. BTW, 'Sound sounds, it does not look'. Ancient proverb🤭

looks like the cars are not connected to the ground, cars dont get dirty, 2d plants everywhere like on ps1. doesnt look like UE5 at all to me tbh
I hope the physics are not made so that the rear wheels can steer, as a guy who tried it early said.

After I saw video about car physics in Dirt 2.0 and WRCs games and WRC 2023 I don´t care anymore about this games. The pivot point in cars make them slide in every speed, even in 20km/h if you turl left or right your back wheel sliding around pivot point and totaly destroy whole physics that you know from IRL racing. I was wondering why I feel constant back sliding in VR and now I already know.
There is no Rally SIMULATOR in WRC, WRC 2023 or Dirt 2.0 etc. it is all just arcade games where you can rename them as " Sliding Championship "
Only RBR simulate whole 4x4 experience, Tarmac physics, whole suspension physics, all this make RBR real Rally simulator rather than all this arcade WRCs and Dirt 2.0 games.
I actually re-installed WRC Generations again last night.
I did a one on one comparison on PS5 and WRC looks significantly better. BUT…..not better than DIRT Rally 2.0!!!!!
WRC is apperently next gen only. It looks worse than a previous incarnation on lesser hardware on a previous generation though.
Dirt Rally 2.0 to Dirt Rally was even a large graphical step forward in the same generation. This is a five year development cycle and new, much improved hardware and it looks inferior in many ways.
What bothers me even more is that I find the track layouts uninspiring, barren, boring and generic.
For instance Monte Carlo is almost a.i. generated like it is done with the trackbuilder in Dirt5. The uphill righthand corners keep repeating themselves in exactly the same way. It is like driving the same road for 17 km’s. Trackside details, elevation (like the Turkey track in Kileton’s efforts) etc. are all substantially lesser implemented than in Generations and even Codemasters’ own Dirt Rally 2.0.
am I the only one annoyed by the flags waving like they're in a storm while the vegetation has no movement at all? PICK ONE wind speed please.... ok just me I guess.
Is it just me or is the water splash effects/dynamics a bit...well rubbish! tried to take a photo and it looks terrible, but game is overall good
this is the exact kind of game that i need to play a demo for before i buy it. no way i’m paying £50+ for game that might feel terrible, especially through a wheel
Could have had a competent Dirt Rally or WRC sim driver for this video. As it is your demo is extremely limited -- doesn't show the capabilities of the game.

They cleared that it will not require full internet connectivity to play singleplayer
I already know everything i need to know and i'm not going to buy it. I'll wait for the next one, which will come in a few months after this one. Maybe they will have improved it. If not, i'll stick to RBR and other rally games. I'm not buying this crap.
