Do the cadets have to stay in the academy for the entire 6 months without going home, or do they attend the academy in the morning and return home at night?"
They make you pay for the equipment??? One of the major points in getting into the job is for financial security. Do they expect you to pay for everything?
@@moisesgalindo8219 But do you get paid during the academy? If they want you to take what you get paid by the academy for the gear then that makes sense. But, some people do not have hundreds of dollars to spend on gear.
Fred Mcelroy yeah once your in the academy your pretty much hired and getting paid, just gotta get through it and that’s why you would have to save a little
I don't know how Vegas does things but they obviously dont mean that you pay for your equipment for your entire career so you just went alittle crazy with that comment. They meant you pay for your equipment needed in the academy because they don't want to waste money on you and then you quit the academy.
How do you get accepted into the academy? What requirements and what will prevent me from getting accepted? I have charges from 4 years ago and back. No felonies but I did have too grow up on the rough side of town. Do they even want people like me?
I know I would be an asset and a great guy too have watching your back let alone taking control of the situation. Im sick of all the hate for police and im sick of incompetent police. I CAN do this.
You people really went through the entire process and quit when you got the opportunity? What did you expect it was going to be? Weakness is all it is. It’s a rewarding career that doesn’t come cheap. Join the Marines , that first night at MCRD will prepare you for anything any police academy can throw at you.
These sad excuses are not going to cut it. 🇺🇸 Police academy cadre & state police should give cadets a fair shake, be able to handle the details of this profession.
Im prepared to become a cop but I dont want to til I accomplish what I want as a business man. Yes I'm a small business man but I at least need to be a district manager.
I shouldn't be violated by my own organization I work for by my neighbors and relatives where they try to over manipulate me by putting a fake news story about me on the news.
As someone who did it, if you want it nothing can break you.. The bullshit, deal with it and you will have a lifelong career. It’s easy money.
Very great video not only for this department but for others across our country.
One of the best videos I've seen, and I have seen so many. Good job!

That’s why they can’t recruit. They have you paying for your own equipment

It's seems like a fun job I'm somewhat ready I'm waiting for Bidden.
I’m only 20. I’ll be 21 in January! January 17th. Can I apply now?
Yeah you can apply at 20, you just have to be 21 by day 1 of the academy!
Good luck to you. Hope you can make it in.
JHAMP98 _ good luck buddy. Remember the academy is 70% mental. Don’t let the mind games get to you.

at least they were humble enough to share what it was that made them quit. You think most people would feel to ashamed to do that.
Great video
Is local police academy difficult than FLETC?
Cops do make a difference

I'm sure you're an expert hahaha.
I'm not an enemy and not trying to become sheriff.

I hear we need to make lots of sacrifices and I need a wife and kids. A big home in a nice neighborhood with loving neighbors. Full health insurance
I need to live a little before I commit my self to a government job where I can't do shit and live a great lifestyle as a man.
I should be able to have my liberties as a law enforcer.
I shouldn't be violated by my own organization I work for by my neighbors and relatives where they try to over manipulate me by putting a fake news story about me on the news.
I should get confirmation when I need it and debriefed after the job has been done.
