- A short video covering some of the most popular/well known styles of belly dance.
Guys don't yell at me if you do a certain style and what's on the video is slightly different, given artistic liscence dancers can do anything they want.
Please keep in mind that this is a basic overview of a few of the many styles of belly dance.

What's referred to as Arabian style?
Arabian style is Egyptian style... No other arab country have belly dance... belly dance is from Egypt

In Egypt, despite the popularity of belly dancing, I heard it either is currently or was in the past illegal to show the navel? And before that, more covering was required? I'd be interested to know more about the different levels of acceptance of belly dance and its origins. I hope to learn a bit in class..
I did not know that "dancer" was used derogatorily to refer to Egyptian belly dancers. Am I understanding that correctly?
+HorseGirlb blank no it always legal to show the navel.. its illegal to dress belly dance clothes on streets... belly dance clothes legal on TV . movies. video clips and night club and hotel. but not on streets .....

interesting points ,if anyone else needs to find out about how to belly dance video online try Tarbally Belly Blueprint Tactics(should be on google have a look ) ? Ive heard some super things about it and my friend got cool success with it.
