    I‘m Tunisian from the north near Tunis. I did a MyHeritage DNA Test and uploaded my File to the Mytrueancestry website. This Website matches your DNA to your ancient ancestral civilizations/roots. Even tho i‘m tunisians my closest ancient populations were Phoenicians,Carthaginians,Canaanites and Semites,Hellenic Romans and Romans. I think my ancestors were originally from the levant and settled in nothern africa a long time ago. I’m not saying that i‘m not Tunisian but i always felt culturally very close to the levantine arabs❤️🇹🇳🇱🇧

      Canaanites are not the phoenicians. till this day they are trying to manipulate who we are because it will elliminate the existence of jews from the whole history go read about it. even the greeks came way after us and stole almost everything from us and of course dont forget the first civilisation the summerians (iraq) they tried to destroy it before claiming they have weapons which was a lie and they admit it later and if it was possible for them to hide the history of it as well from people they would because the secret of creation of us humans began from there. @@enricomanno8434 I'm not an expert but it is not meaningless as far as I can see. in the ancient history there was the phoenicians who invented the alphabet. They gave this to the Greeks. They also traded. so they were close in many ways. Also they were all polytheists at that time right. So they had much in common. Even now mediterranean people eat similar food and look the same. The culture for the Christians is also very similar, if I have seen correctly.

      @freepagan 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Nashmil-xd2vr Got it, thanks.
      Some of the diversity you saw would have been because of the refugees ( 25% of the population). While they are also Levantine (Syrians and Palestinians), they're not the same. Syria for example is a big country like Iran, with different looks also. Eastern Syrians are darker, like Saudis and Iraqis, while the ones that border us look more like us. Anyway yes Lebanese have diversity. But in general we're more similar than different.

    • @Nashmil-xd2vr
      @Nashmil-xd2vr 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@freepagan Thanks, yes certainly no where as diversified as Iran. Generally, the southern people of Iran are very dark skinned and some are almost black. The Eastern part can look Chinese because of the migration from Northern Afghanistan 🇦🇫 whereas the northern parts of Iran (mainly the Caspian Sea 🌊 side) generally have blonde hair with blue eyes. As for my region, we are known to have green eyes and red hairs. Some people believe it is because during the Arab conquest, they couldn’t reach those parts due to how mountainous the area was/is, but I’m not too sure…
      Lebanese are the most beautiful people in heart and face… During my last visit in August, regardless of the region, everyone was very very welcoming. I loved the food (very similar to Persian food) and the culture. I think Lebanon is underestimated because when I told my friends that I was visiting the country, all my English friends panicked! They told me it is not safe and I’m glad I didn’t listen to them. The country was very peaceful with very beautiful sceneries. From hiking to parachuting, there’s is just so much to explore..

Palestinian would cover a wide variety and was just a term for part of the levant by people in power who were not native. Palestinian is not just one distinct people at all. The term doesn't go as far back to tribe names of kingdoms. Especially modern day. All his videos are really cool. There is a specific one on Palestinians. And one on Ashkenazi. Both share DNA.

So everyone in the levant and the gulf maybe we are not the same but we are the closest to each other ethnically. Proud to be arab and proud more to be sematic . My English is not good sory😊

The people who lives in this area are Canaanite descendants and the arab came and Arabnised the area. There were Phoenicians, Moabites, ammonites , jebusites. Also, the Arab in Levantine area does not look like Arab in Arab peninsula and this is another prove That they relate to the Canaanites and Greek.

    I'm fully LEBANESE ✌🏻, and my heritage is from South Lebanon. Here is my *DNA* *breakdown*:
    MYHeritage:
    61% Levantine (Canaanite)
    24% Greek
    13% Caucasian
    2% Miscellaneous
    MyTrueAncestry admixture calculators
    On average, according to these calculators, I had--
    65% Canaanite
    17% Southern European
    13% Northern European
    5% Caucasian and trace ancestry
    The content of this vid is mostly accurate. But I'd add that newer research has been conducted (from after 2017) by geneticists Pierre Zalloua, and by Lazaridis. Their work reaffirms the ancient European connection, beginning from Phoenician times. And there's other interesting information about the Canaanites as well. I recommend everybody who's interested look it up.
    So in short, we Lebanese are a Phoenician Canaanite group, with European and Caucasian admixture. Another way to say this is *simply Lebanese*. It's a country, an ethnicity, and a culture, going back thousands of years, down to the present day.

As shown in the vid and other research, we also have at least 15% European DNA, and further Caucasian admixture (from Iran and the Caucuses). In addition, many of us have some northern European DNA as well. This is confirmed through my own dna--I had 13% northern European admixture. And I am FULLY Lebanese (all 8 of my great grand parents). My friends had similar results to me as well. So to sum up, we are a Phoenician Canaanite population, with European admixture. Which is quite unique. Of course, we are also related to other Levantine people ✔️ by way of our Canaanite ancestry 💪🏻. But we also have other admixture that is specific to us. (Just as other Levantine people are unique in their own right also). Lebanese are *specifically descendants of the great Phoenicians*. And the BEST WAY to describe this is to say LEBANESE. It's a country, a culture, and an ethnicity. With an amazing history.

    Hello, may I inquire about the source and basis of your conclusion that some ancient native Iranians intermingled with Gassulian to give rise to the Lebanese CANAANITE DNA? Your analysis seems to assume that Iranians are the cradle of civilizations, which contradicts archaeological findings and Phoenician historical records. Maurice Dunand's Phoenician expedition demonstrated that Lebanese Canaanites originate from Lebanon, as supported by Sanchuniathon, the oldest historian from Beirut. Their genealogy, according to Sanchuniathon, began within Lebanon, and their cities predate those in Iran or Mesopotamia. The Canaanites consistently identified themselves as such.
    While I acknowledge the possibility of later interactions and mixings due to invasions or maritime travels, it's crucial to recognize the enduring Phoenician influence in Lebanese lifestyle, traditions, folklore (singing, dancing), and family names. Many Lebanese families preserve Phoenician Canaanite names like Canaan, Azar, Shamoun, Murr, Bakhos, Haddad, and more, unique to Lebanon. Furthermore, 90% of Lebanese villages and cities retain Phoenician Canaanite names.
    The Phoenician Canaanites established ports in the Mediterranean and the Persian Gulf, discovering these regions long before trade or migrations occurred. Greek historians attempted to trace the Phoenician Canaanite origins outside Lebanon, leading to contradictory claims about their presence in the Indian Ocean, Persian Gulf, Arabian Peninsula, Europe, etc. These assertions were based on the Phoenicians' colonies and ports in those areas.
    Absolutely, the uniqueness of the Lebanese people is evident in their distinct characteristics. Pierre Marie Martin's observation underscores the remarkable resemblance between the Canaanites and the Lebanese. Their aptitude for professional trade, love for travel, ease in assimilating with diverse cultures, and individual capabilities all echo the traits of their Canaanite ancestors. It's fascinating to see the continuation of such qualities in the Lebanese people, maintaining a connection to their roots as skilled traders and adventurers. The exploration of Africa for gold and diamonds, mirroring the pursuits of the Phoenicians, further highlights the enduring spirit of exploration and commerce within the Lebanese culture.
    on the other hand Iranians as well as arabs areflect the same conception of sticking on their countries , very isolated and difficult to accept any stranger to to mix with them
    NOTE the Greeks' sources has been proved wrong and untrue , their historians attacked each .

      Bro you have to understand how population genetics works. Every single group in the world is made up of previous groups. The Phoenicians are indigenous to Lebanon, no doubt. They even named their homeland LBN which means "white" in Phoenician. And they lived there for thousands of years (and still do in modern Lebanese). I'm also Lebanese btw. However, the Phoenician Canaanites were made up of two distinct populations. 1., the Natufians (who are indigenous to the Levant). And 2., Caucasian Iranians who came to mix with them. After mixing with them, they became the Canaanites. From there, the Phoenicians emerged and mastered the sea. Then they mixed with other Mediterranean people. Later, we mixed with even more Europeans, and that has been our DNA ever since.

      With all due respect, your comment echoes the content presented in the aforementioned video. and alI i only sought evidence and proofs supporting the assertion that Canaanites resulted from a mixture of Gassulians and Iranians, as claimed in the video, or Natufians and Caucasian Iranians, as per your statement.
      To arrive at a more convincing conclusion, it is imperative that the evidence presented be irrefutable and grounded in solid historical and archaeological foundations.
      I have also presented significant historical and archaeological facts that contradict with your both theories:
      Numerous studies indicate that Lebanese cities rank among the oldest inhabited cities, predating those in Mesopotamia. This suggests the possibility of migration in the opposite direction-from Lebanon to other regions and not from Mesoppotamia to Lebanon as you both claim.
      Sanchuniathon's cosmogony, which traces the entire family tree of the Canaanites back to Beirut, gains support from the discoveries of clay tablets in Ugarit, by the Phoenician expedition led by Maurice Dunand , affirming the accuracy of his accounts.
      In anthropology, the notable exception lies in the migratory patterns of the Lebanese and their ancestors, the Phoenicians. Unlike surrounding civilizations, they were known to migrate or leave their territories, particularly before sailing and trading gained widespread popularity.i mean they were the first to adventure outside Lebanon while others remained islolated in their homeland

      The migration of Iranians has nothing to do with having civilization and...
      Because they were just a group of people who moved from place to place and this has nothing to do with civilization and...
      Iranians (natives of Zagros and Caucasus) also have built very old cities
      Like the hill of Jiroft, the hill of Hasanlu, the burnt city(shahr e sokhte) and...
      On the other hand, the haplogroup of the people of West Asia and South Europe and other some regions is J2 & J1
      And this haplogroup has spread from Caucasus and Zagros to other parts of the world
      It seems that a Caucasian Iranian man(J2 & J1) who came to middle east thousands of years ago mixed with a Natufian woman(E1 & E2 ) and created the people of today's Lebanon.
      For this reason, most people in the Middle East have the J haplogroup (because the Y haplogroup is only transmitted from the father).

      i am simply asking 2 very clear questions :
      1- what are the SOLID EVIDENCE that CANAANITE is the result of a mixture between Gassulians and Persians . or Natufians and Persians ??!! it is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT EVIDENCE SHOULD VERY SOLID .. because the whole content is building up over this SLOGAN .
      2- IN ARCHEOLOGY if we assume the theory is undebatable and irrifutable ..this drives us to the effective fact that the oldest inhabited cities must be in Persia and not in Lebanon .. which is not the case .. THOSE WHO CLAIM THAT MESOPOTAMIA IS THE CRADDLE OF CIVILIZATIONS HAVE TO TELL US WHEN THEN THE OLDEST INHABITED CITIES AREN'T IN MESOPOTAMIA ?
      3-HISTORY WISE .. NONE OF ALL THE PHOENICIAN CANAANITE HISTORIANS starting from Sanchuniaton HAVE EVER CLAIMED ANY ORGINS OR COMING FROM ANY COUNTRY OUTSIDE LEBANON ..even in late history they didn't seem to have ties with their "relatives " in Persia ..
      4- it looks a kind of hypcrite to limit the people of old Lebanon to WOMEN only , since we all know that DNA marker is transmitted from FATHER TO SON ( in male connexion ) .. and the message behind transmitted to us can be briefed as " CANAANITE ARE IRANIANS at the end "
      NOTA BENE : it should be known to everybody that the so called "LEVANT"was initially inhabited by the Canaanites .. Syrians aka Assyrians and Philistins and Hebrews settled in later .. so we have to respect the chronological eras ... which conclude us to the result that the Syrians , philistins and hebrews are settlers and colonizers of the canaan lands and this doesn't make them Canaanites

      Inland Syria was called land of Aram.
      Eastern Lebanon was part of it and part of Coastal Syria was part of Phoenicia.
      All Palestine was Canaanite before the settlement of the Hebrews.
      Today, people have been mixed a lot.
      We are sure today that part of the Phoenician genome was linked to the Arab clade FGC11 and that they had their own mutations (As for the sample ERS1790733).
      You can be today a Syrian, a Jordanian, a Palestinian and have a Canaanite clade under J2 or even under E1b1b.
      A simple example for the SNP J-Y86930 linked to Phoenician settlement in Croatia, you can find one Palestinian, one Syrian and one Jordanian linked to it.
      Another clade is J-BY527 under one of the major Arab clade (J-FGC11) and you know what ? The Lebanese here is a Maronite who is autosomaly 100% Levantine.
      Genetic is very complexe so if you want ot be sure about your origins, just do an autosomal/Haplogroup tests.

It's also oddly present in north American native americans. You might be thinking "so what?" If you keep looking into it you'll find conspiracy theories involving atlantis, freemasonry, and rosicrusians and oddly the dispersion of this haplogroup kind of supports these ideas considering that druze are phoenicians supposedly connected to king Solomon, the Orkney Islands are a very important area for freemasonry, and a theory of atlantis says that native americans and middle eastern people came from atlantis. I know this is all going to sound whacky, and maybe it is, but it's a neat little rabbit hole. This is interesting from a genetic standpoint. Modern Lebanese share a generally similar genetic heritage. And cultural as well. Yes there’s the different religious groups and the related cultural background that comes with them, but if we can talk of a ‘secular culture’, a culture that is related to the connection of the people to the land and the traditions that are generated from that connection and from what the land produces, that culture is pretty much similar between all religious groups in Lebanon and beyond in the immediate region since we’re still talking of one connected environment.

    • @freepagan
      @freepagan ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The problem is, our neighbors in the region want to deny our identity. They want us to be exactly the same as them, because they're jealous of our uniqueness. That's why I don't try to connect with them. I defend our Lebanese identity as being Lebanese, and being different.

    • @zahifar3936
      @zahifar3936 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@freepaganthis problem is also found in Lebanon. This is why we made this political system of ‘power sharing’ between the different confessions. Because we also correlate identity with confessional belonging, we’re not able to solve our problems. Or some Christians consider themselves to be superior because they have a westernised culture. But the western world has improved and developed specifically when it separated between state and church. And here we’re still afraid of the other who’s supposedly different and we find protection in confessional institutions, whether educational or other. And the majoritarian Muslim group has its issues as well and we’re still not finding genuine solutions.

    • @freepagan
      @freepagan ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@zahifar3936 Well, I don't think Western culture is necessarily superior. But it is different. And the reality of that difference is pungent. There's no denying that it's there and is significant. Lebanese in Lebanon need to tear down their govt and start over. Make it completely secular. But with protections in place for Christians, atheists and so on, so that sharia isn't put in place either.

    • @freepagan
      @freepagan ปีที่แล้ว

      Some Lebanese Muslims have become hardcore in recent years. They think they're Saudis. Meanwhile real Saudis would laugh in their face if they heard that they think they're the same people.

    • @zahifar3936
      @zahifar3936 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@freepaganthe problem and solution isn’t in only the political system, it is also in people’s minds and their openness to the other. People in Lebanon may be educated and have diplomas and live a ‘modern’ life, but not many are cultured and ready to understand the other. The solution is in that. Getting to know the other and realise, as I stated in my original comment, that we are the children of one local environment. We’re not confessional groups who came from different places and are gathered here and we need to find ways to live as strangers in a common country and tolerate each other. We need to put religion in its natural place and reconstruct our national belonging. No other way. Otherwise we remain in our problems. Federal system, whatever, that doesn’t solve anything by itself alone, if the desire of the federal system is based on our perception that the other is not really our brother and sister in citizenship and identity.

    Lebanese women are so very good looking. Is there still an economic recession in your country. Watched a video a few years ago, explaining why lots of younger generations were leaving for employment elsewhere. That is so sad, why people have to leave their country of origin for these reasons. Poor Lebanon has been plagued with wars, not all of their own making. So very similar to Ireland.😊

Searching about the truth will not be easy because we all know who controls the world now even tho the ruins the history and the reliable sources still there.
