      It is expensive in England because it is protection racket to keep coaching jobs for former players who have more disposable cash and don't have the education to get well paid jobs outside of football. Footballers up until the last 10 years really had very poor educations in England, so making it really expensive to get elite sport coaching qualifications would prevent more normal people with education getting into soccer coaching, so more coaching jobs for former players who couldn't do anything else.

    Great video. I am a UEFA B coach and the major thing about this video is coaching the coaches. You have to ask yourself, where are the recent champions league winning managers from. Tuchel, Flick, Klopp, Zidane, Heynckes. And when was the last Premier League winner manager from England - 1993 (Howard Wilkinson). After finishing my B I don't feel I was 'taught'. Partially I do believe England's new revolution in the football world is partially on "Pep Guardiola" and there is many reasons for it :
    - When he came to the PL , it took him one season to adapt , and after that he make City won 3 PL out of 5 , and one of them with 100 points. He encourage players to play with courage , be aggresive , and exploit their qualities. He even forced many teams to play defensive against them
    - Even though he have spend so much money , we can't denied that he likes to promote the youth , an example of this is Phil Foden
    - He might not won a Champions League yet since 2011 , but he gives all his team that insane consistency of always winning , something that now England have adopted on their youth academies.
    - Pep Guardiola has this method of mixing the young players that have lots of potential to explode with the veteran players , which in this case England will do for the Euro 2021 , and I think it will be great !
    - There is no denying on that , when he was in Barcelona , Spain won the World Cup and Euro 2012 , when he was in Bayern , Germany won the World Cup , and when he was in City , England make it to the semis after a long time , and now are having a boom on youth players.

    Great video... funny thing Ontario Canada has tried to model their system to this but are failing miserably. With this in mind I will also attribute the culture of football in the DNA of people in the UK in general. Things like football cages, are very much overlooked as a contributing factor also. We do not have those here in Ontario. As well our bigger clubs have access to facilities first and are not relegated or promoted based on competition. Therefore they do not care to invest in coaching and often talent is spread thin throughout A, B, and C teams in the early ages. With all of this, one can conclude development is extremely complex. It is definitely a very interesting topic and would love to see a series done if you can. Example, Spain formula vs Germany formula. Spain has emphasis on competition at an early age. Teams are relegated and promoted... but have the ability to have players play by biological ages or can be pushed up based on skill 1 year

    Yes England needs to change the price of coaches, they have the talented depth in squads now, super stacked and young, but they need better coach to properly utilise the most out of the players, the only reason Southgate is staying now is because there isnt a replacement

  • @ay613
    @ay613 ปีที่แล้ว

    Interestingly, the results page shows we still have problems with coaching we need to make coaching cheaper. But i do think these changes to our players have been beneficial and good to see, we certainly have talented players more so than from 2012-2018.

    England's squad has always been overloaded with stars. But they always flop. Meaning it's not about how many star players u got, it's upon team coordination n coach's tactics.
    (Knowing how to make the most use of the talents is essential. Seems their full potential isn't put to use when assembled together as a team. Same with Brazil.)

    Quality video. I think another thing to add, that’s completely intangible, but would bolster England’s competitive edge would be to create and boost the “winning” mentality. Going into every tournament, every game knowing and believing you can beat anyone.Eventually, this will be replicate in game performances. Ultimately, this aura and mentality can only be imposed by the Manager, get rid of Southgate, bring in a less pragmatic and risk-adverse Manager and with the array of players England have at their disposal, I don’t see why they cannot win something on the international level. If England don’t win anything in the next 5-10 years, it would be laughable.

    Obviously EPPP has had an overall positive effect on the National team, but the downside of the Elite player performance plan however is its effect on non top clubs, that firstly that the transfer fees that lower division clubs used to get for young players have been slashed by the fixed rates of compensation, additional damage has been done by the inequality allowing big clubs to recruit nationally, as well as the funding inequities from the FA… (do Man €ity really need FA funding??) These changes have meant that a number of football league clubs have just decided to fold their Academy (Brentford, Tranmere, etc) because they don’t justify their cost anymore and this is a dangerous trend on the whole for keeping the player pool as big as possible.

    Could you do a video on why we have barely any good English coaches. We barely have any at the top level we are just a glorified Chinese super league with our league dominated by foreigners. I think we need a proper overhaul change like Belgium and Germany had. We won't win the world cup i feel unless that changes or we get a foreign coach.

    England are a top 10 team managed by a Top 10 manager but no more and probably never will be. This is why they don't usually get beyond the quarters in any tournament outside England. Ramsey's ream of 1970 was probably the best England team of all time and had the tournament been played in Europe they might have won it (had Brazil not been even better!)

    The current issue is now. Lack of quality coaching throughout the country (at youth level) and at national team level (Southgate is trash). Most of this issue originated from the overall expense of reaching a UEFA a license which is why we only see many ex-players who played at a relatively high standard go into coaching. Then there is the lack of quality coaching for coaches which leaves the ordinary man feeling disgruntled at the questionable quality of the rather expensive service he received; for now I think the conclusion is a simple one. Ambitious young coaches should look abroad to secure their badges and the FA should hire the best quality managers they can find rather than employing yes-men from their nepotistic boys club

I don't see foreign teams trying to sign Jack Grealish, James Maddison, Dean Henderson, Danny Igns, Tammy Abraham, Ben White. • @ComradeOgilvy1984
      @ComradeOgilvy1984 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed. A golden generation clogs up your team with aging veterans. Football is a team sport, and the team can greatly benefit from 2-3 older players, even if they have slowed down. But when there are 5-6 older players on the pitch, that is a problem. And you cannot pin the weakness on any one or two players.

    there's no secret that during Golden Generation era, player from MU, Liverpool and Chelsea aren't getting along when called up to Three Lions duty. Is there any different this time compare to that era?
    Also, English Media had ridiculous expactation or overhyped their team eventho they aren't proven... recent example when England media already talking about "Football coming home" eventho they just reach 2018 WC Semi... the celebration is slighty over the top

    The other day Duncan Ferguson rejected an offer to assist Carlo at Madrid because he wants to coach at Everton (Which he won't get coz he's not Fergudici). I thought It would be better for him to accept that role and use it as a building block to come back at Everton. The problem I have come to observe with English coaches is that they still don't want to travel outside their island to pick up different styles, learn cultures and languages (Language is key - most English only know English; this is why Neville struggled at Valencia..). They struggle in the modern-day football club which has many nationalities.
    TLDR: English coaches should copy the players and move abroad - learn cultures, languages, and styles

    • @ToxicDarkLord
      @ToxicDarkLord 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah but it will take time because England is still catching up with the other nations but the improvements in managers from 2010 to now has been massive,
      In 2010 we had Tony Pulis, Alan Pardew, Sam Allardyce, harry Redknapp, Roy Hodgson
      In 2020 we now have Graham potter, Steven Gerrard, Dean Smith, Sean Dyce and even Scott Parker and Frank lampard they are levels above in terms of coaching and managing.
      So England in terms of coaching have improved its just that we were so far behind that we are still close to a decade behind the other nations still right now but the imporvment is there.
