    Going to do my first oil change on this in the next week, thanks for the video. I didn't realize the oil filter went in sideways. Will definitely be messier than my last vehicle (09 ranger).

      Yup! It can be a bit messy, but not too bad. (:

    Thanks. Very thorough. I totally agree. Start with a coffee. Offer helps most things.

    Thanks for the video, even though I don't own a Mitsubishi Mirage or plan on changing the oil in one, video was cool to watch.

      I'm glad I was able to help! What car do you have? (:

    Hey man thanks for the video. I just did my oil change, but my average mpg isn’t as high as it used to be anymore..haven’t for the past few weeks actually. Used to get up to 45mpg. I enjoy your mirage vids. I have the sedan version 2018

      Why are you using more fuel than before? Just different driving habits? A lot hotter temperatures? Air conditioner uses?

    Good job. (I love your commentary.😆) I used to change the oil in my little Mazda GLC until I totaled it in 1986 (not my fault) and broke my back. My oil-changing days ended. Ah well. I didn't have to have a torque wrench or anything. Seems like everything was easier back then.

      The oil changing process is exactly the same from then, to now. 1 Bolt, 1 filter. (:

      I’m so glad I’ve found your channel! I really enjoyed the oil change and it’s just like oil changes from the 70s! Lol.

      I save my used oil and use it as sealer on my wooden furniture and wood structures outside. I’m in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and I love used oil! Lol, the winter can be brutal on exposed wood surfaces here. Thanks for sharing!

    Good video. I'd like to get a Mirage but Mitsubishi stopped selling them in USA. I see some late model used, but lots are repos and that doesn't bode well for how they were driven or maintained.

      @extralock1045  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Repo's are for sure not ones to get, sadly. You can still get the Mirage new, some dealers still have them (look for 2024 Mitsubishi Mirage), not 2025.
      The main thing you need to look for when getting a used one is the maintenance history. Make sure they did regular engine oil, and CVT oil changes.

    Very ZIN my friend. Thanks for sharing ! Only at 1200 on my oil, love changing oil but alas i must wait =( I use OEM AC Delco filters on sparky, oem is best i think.

    • @extralock1045
      @extralock1045  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      OEM probably is best! Do you only have 1,200 miles on the break in oil? If so, change that early. But if you have done oil changes on your car already, wait. (:

    We didn’t get the 2016 model in the US

    I have never used a torque wrench in 37 years of changing oil. Just make it snug. Of course I have never owned a car that had a crush washer on the drain plug.

      I recommend a torque wrench, but I don't use mine.. It never clicks. It seems broken. I can't even get it to click at 25 foot pounds on a tire bolt which I know is 80 foot pounds.

    I wonder if I am supposed to drink the coffee before or after performing my Mutsubishi Mirage's maintenence needs. Could it be both because everybody will be happy including me. Comments welcome when contemplating my maintenence requirement specification needs. Thank you for reading about my maintenence needs and God will look upon this and bless thee in sincerity upon wherever you are in America (disclaimer... another country, too) in Jesus Christ, the true king (disclaimer it ain't Elvis, and whoever said he's the king is full of Farphrednugen). Also, please don't dispose of your oil in our waterways because coffee just don't taste the same as though it is like poop, like that oil appears to be diarrhea that is in that there pan, don't you see now my brothers and my sisters.

      Yes, take it to your local auto store and they will take the used oil, and filters! (:
      Change the engine oil every 3,500 to 4,000 miles.
      Change the CVT oil every 30,000 miles, if you drive in the mountains, change it every 25,000 miles instead.
      When changing the CVT fluid every 25,000 to 30,000 miles, change the cartridge filter too, it's held in with 1 bolt behind the driver side tire. Every other CVT oil change, so every 50,000 to 60,000, drop the pan, clean the magnets, replace the pan filter, and replace the pan gasket.
      Every roughly 3 or 4 years replace the brake fluid, I am not sure how often to flush the radiator though.
