Ten years ago, teacher and artist Lisa Pugh was depressed, housebound, in constant pain and could only get up the stairs by crawling. She'd just been given a diagnosis of fibromyalgia-after suffering on-and-off with aches and pains, severe fatigue and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) for nearly two decades-and was told by her doctor that she'd only get worse.

I am glad she found healing. What helped me for Fibro was Functional Medicine. Cut out allergens, food sensitivities, toxic cleaning products, toxic personal care products, lowering stress, calming down the central sensitization, supplements for nutrient deficiencies, low histamine diet, sleep hygiene, heavy metal detox, mold detox, eating dinner no later than 6 pm, physical therapy, chiropractic and self compassion.
Accepting that I have MTHFR and other genetic mutations and will never be able to live like 'normal people' who seem to do fine on very little sleep, fast food and high stress jobs. I wish I could live like the woman in the video. All humans were not built to live fast paced, toxic modern lives. It is just that us people with Fibro (and other autoimmune conditions) get sick before the general population. We are the 'canaries in the coal mine.'

The body can do anything you want it because anything is possible. She is living proof that it is and you can pissed at her story or try it for yourself. Humans are so powerful and most dont know or believe it. 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

Just incase anyone is watching this and is finding this upsetting. You're not alone. Diabetics take insulin, it's not a cure, if they stopped they would die. Fibro is an autoimmune disease, there are things you can do to manage it, but there is no cure yet. I'm really happy this lady says she's found relief, but she does a million different things, if she stopped that would it come back? That's no cure. All those things even if you make them routine, in my experience are exhausting and make some parts of life like travel so much harder. She says she's fully recovered, but she sounds exhausted in the video.
Do what you feel helps you, but it is always distressing to me to hear someone was cured, I know it should make me hopeful, but it is just frustrating, cos there are so many shiarlatons out there. You do your own research and do your best. But one in 20 people have fibro. As much as we'd like to, We can't all go live in a tree.

Fibromyalgia is NOT an autoimmune disease there is no evidence to say that and any autoimmune disease has proof on test because the good cells attack healthy parts of the body. What the drs think now is it MIGHT be related to autoimmune deficiency its different. There were 3 studies in 2020 in the uk where they have almost proved these but say with caution more study and tests are needed. Nobody knows what fibromyalgia is or have it affects us. The hardest bit of fibromyalgia is the fact that no 2 sufferers are the same and there are over 200 symptoms as well as the chronic pain to test. The condition needs lots more money and time to research it and having suffered it for at least 20 years and being one of only 20% male sufferers i do not feel a cause or test for it will be found in my life time. Nobody knows the cause, the reason for it happening to us or how to manage it we just have to put up with it and those thinking they’ve cure themselves of it.

I get the frustration but NATURAL HEALING is the only way iv ever heard someone recover. If a person with type2 diabetes sticks to a healthy diet- they R healed!! The only thing with natiral drs is the Fords early medical schools have fixed modern meds & medical schools where we cant find a cure unless we pay cash ( natural drs cant take insurance- insuring ppl keep running to big pharma ( that wont teach natural meds) to get relief. Like any cure its all a shite show here in america... research early meds in America and first medical schools. Shockingly meds are made from patrolium and thats why they are addictive...
      Blessings 😅❤

Chek out the CHEK institute and find a practitioner. Also, look into Dr Sarnos work as well as the man who founded the CHEK institute, Paul chek. The podcast ‘lessons from the pain teacher’. I bet my life on there being a way. I too had fibromyalgia symptoms. Hope this can help you get on your way

This is ridiculous. You can’t beat fibromyalgia. I’ve had it for 20 yrs. I’ve tried all meds. Exercise and outdoor activities. I ride bike 12 miles at a time. It’s gone into remission for small amount of times. But you do t beat it. It doesn’t go away.

This is one of the best things I've seen on fibromyalgia, and I've seen a lot! As a sufferer myself I am so sick of seeing doctors and therapists do presentations claiming they know what fibromyalgia is and how to cure it when they don't. I feel after nearly 20 years that I am finally on the road to recovery (not just management!) using the same processes as Lisa. Very inspirational and thanks for sharing.

I did the same thing , but I dug until I figured out what was happening to me ! Celiac disease, fibromyalgia , peripheral neuropathy. I threw out there meds and quit everything till I only ate steamed rice and bottled water three weeks and all three were gone , glyphosate and atrazine are what does it it’s the chemicals in the processed food, 100% pain free now but three weeks ago coors light started using glyphosate on the hops and now I can’t drink that anymore, also had chronic insomnia and when I quit the hygiene products of the shelf that just went away I think it was the aluminum in the deodorant , but I use castor oil and sodium bicarbonate Any way four diseases I would still have listing to the drug dealers down at the hospital, they just want you buying there pills weather they help or not ,usually not ! Well it helps them !!! They use us as cash cows not caring if you feel better

@BonitaBrandt Firstly, what is the cure recommended in this video? If there is one, I’ve not sussed it; frankly I’m not sure of the purpose of this video at all. Secondly, have you actually tried any of the cures you’ve come across for any length of time? Seriously, as people, we don’t stick to a regime long enough for it to take effect. Thirdly, I’m guessing you suffer from Fibromyalgia, from your comment, so I would encourage you to look at the teachings of Barbara O’Neill. She’s not a Fibromyalgia specialist, but she’s very knowledgeable about the body. All the best, Bonita.

Me thinks she was misdiagnosed. I've had this plague for almost 30 years. Formerly extremely healthy, bodyworker, very knowledgeable and practiced in natural living. The best I have been able to achieve is a maintenance routine which allows me some ability to function, at a low level, and keep the pain manageable. I have had a few brief episodes of remission. I am not one to give up, but I have come to accept the condition as incurable. Simultaneously going against the natural aging process has diminished any hope of a real recovery.

This is rubbish for fibromyalgia sufferers not once did she mention chronic pain the fatigue brain fog etc if you listened properly it was all depression based there is no cure for fibromyalgia yes maybe she relieved some symptoms i don’t doubt that. What gets me is all these people that claim they have our illness and magically recover by eating and living the Tarzan lifestyle. I do not doubt that this lady was ill and made a recovery but i hate it when people knock medical care for a yogi lifestyle 98% of people have jobs bills commitments in life they can’t just dump and walk away from. I would say the ladies problems were more depression bad marriage stressful job etc. i for one will not be going yogi i will listen to MEDICAL practitioners who have studied for years weather they get it right all the time or not thats the nature of fibromyalgia one size does not fit all which makes their jobs so much harder. Be careful what advice you listen to on here
