Great video! Very informative and straight to the point. Also, the way you break it down really simply and easy to understand is very appreciated. Thanks for the video. Liked and subscribed
Thank you for this video, it has definitely opened my mind and eyes to this printer. So I know you can print for clothing, etc. but what about printing to be able to do cups, tumblers, stuff like that??
Yes, this printer can print onto a different transfer paper that can be pressed onto hard surfaces like cups, glass, wood and metal. I have not bought this one step transfer paper for hard surfaces yet but I plan too soon.
Be aware you can't print anything bigger than a 8.5 by 11 any more. You can't split larger prints in the software any more. So if you are a larger person, etc you have to find an alternative. They will sell you larger paper or more paper but the expensive machine you purchased (white toner 200) partially for that reason won't print larger sheets. Thanks Henry!!!
Not entirely correct. You can print 8.5 x 14" from the Luminaris 200. The reason they removed the ability to split the images in the rip software is because many people were having issues with it. However, you can split the image in other software like Photoshop and import the images separately into the rip software. I am a larger person as you say and have no problem creating and splitting (if necessary) images to put on t-shirts that fill the shirts. Ricoma doesn't hide the fact that this machine doesn't print bigger than 8.5 x 14, so if you buy it expecting something different, that's on you. If you want to do something you'll find a way. If not, you'll find an excuse.
@@TimothyAllenMadison why not fix the issue instead of letting people buy a $8,000 unit believing they could. Most people don’t need long transfer paper (they get to sell you more using the same machine) but wider.
@@mrhaskins11 Then maybe people should do their diligent research before spending so much money. Do you work for Ricoma? Do you even know if they tried to fix the issue? They may have tried and just not found a good solution yet, so removing it because of the issues was likely a prudent move. I am a web and software developer, and it amuses me how many times people think fixing bug issues in software is so easy. I easily split my images in photoshop before importing them into the rip software. Like I said before, if you want to do something you'll find away, if not you'll find an excuse. If you want to be a business owner/entrepreneur, then maybe stop complaining about something you can't change and find other ways to be successful.
Yes I was upset too when they removed the split feature from the software. However I have found a way to split the image with canva and then import each one into Vivid Rip to print 12x10 images for some shirts for Halloween. I plan to do a video on this soon!
@@KarlieBelle You're very welcome! Just remember not to use it with heat over 300 degrees. I personally use it at 290 degrees F at 30 seconds for my t-shirts and it works great!
Thanks for making the video! Very informative. Since you have had the printer for more than a year, what has your experience been? Have you only used the sheets Ricoh sells, have you tried any other brand of the a and b sheets? How many washes before it starts to crack or wrinkle? Thanks!
Hello excellent , excellent video. Can I ask you, know that you know all this equipment , my question would it be , what it is not possible to do with this ? You know, I cannot do this or that ... Thank you in advance ,
I was able to successfully do 1 shirt. 2nd shirt, the adhesive didnt transfer completely. 3rd shirt the entire ink image transferred to adhesive (b sheet) what causes that?
Make sure that you are peeling the adhesive sheet off immediately after the heat press opens. It needs to be a hot peel. Also, I peel it very slowly going from one corner to the next and I do rub it with a towel before I peel it.
Thank you for making this video! What if you have 2xl and 3xl shirts, how would you get a print/design big enough? I know you said you could make the design larger. Thank you! Sharon :)
What is the process for sublimation prints on this heat press. I have one but it doesn’t seem to work as well with the sublimation transfers!! Any suggestions?! Thanks
How do I keep my designs from cracking? If I stretch my shirt like you did in the video my designs break. It is so frustrating. Any tip for not having my design cracking anymore?
I think the best way to keep your designs from cracking is to make sure you have your heat press set at the highest pressure it can be. Also, I’ve recently learned about T Seal and that also helps your design.
Can I get this software or the other great software that you mentioned, to print family and friends photos on the shirts or hoodies? I🎉f so...can u make tutorials for this please...😊
Yes, definitely depending on the size of the design. If it is small, then you could create a sheet printing multiples on one film or you can set your machine to print multiple copies of a large design
Yes the toner is expensive to replace ( starting at $199 each) and this was a concern of mine too. However from my understanding, these toners can print approximately 7000 sheets before needing to be replaced. So in comparison to buying ink for DTF (around $500 to replace all) I think I will get more out of this printer.
I was in cold water and dry on medium heat with all of my clothes. I have seen no problem with my shirts that I made with my printer and heat press when doing this.
The largest film I can print on is 8 1/2 x 14. However I have found that I can use a program like Canva or Adobe illustrator to split designs and print them as big as I need to. For example I like to put 12“ x 12“ designs on large shirts and I can do that by splitting the design into two printing.
That may be from some adhesive that transferred to your film with the image after marrying the 2 together. It usually happens on the edges of the film, so I trim those off before pressing the film to the shirt. Let me know if that helps you.
Nice Video When you start peeling dont stop every time you stop Its cooling
I ordered, too. I'm just waiting for the shipment. I'm excited .
any news? good machine?

Can you make more videos about white toner? I have one and I can’t get a good transfer.
If you're not using a t-seal for the finishing press you're missing out. It helps incorporate the design into the fabric for a more durable finish..
Thank you so much for that suggestion I just purchased a T Seal!

Will it work on 100% cotton and or polyester?
Yes!
does the software mirror when printing on its own?
karlie, do you know if this machine can print stickers and decals?
Have you had green lines coming out in your prints?
Amazing step by step tutorial Karlie! Will check out more of your vids

What did this system cost
How much was it!

do you have to buy only paper from ricoma or can you use other paper from other places in it?
You can use white toner paper from other companies 😁
Do you have any suggestions? I've been trying to find lower cost paper without much luck.@@KarlieBelle

Why do I get a smoky box around the image
