Hi odd time of the year to be seeing you on here. I enjoy your explanations and trust your information. I’m a Slater wildfire survivor that moved to irrigated pasture of Shasta County from Happy Camp…thank you for your time, even in the middle of winter..
I always look forward to your postings. Other channels are a usually a bit chaotic and not really clear on their Data.. So, Thank you for your awesome reports. Blessings 🕊💞
Geez, fires. 🔥 Thank you for the insight! It is amazing how the wind is picking up to create all the fire spots. Dang, rich people homes and it has been Malibu for many years, and Topanga, but the brush and wind in the Santa Monica mountains. Beautiful and rugged! Everything is so expensive in Bel Air….. Now more expensive to rebuild. It’s crazy!!!!!!! My heart goes out to everyone affected. ❤️
I'm monitoring several other posts, including national reporting regarding these fires, yet no other has provided the contributing factors to this inferno situation as you have. I'm a builder, and yes, we build to the contour of the land, and thus, as we are now witnessing, we can be making the problem of 'the lay o' the land' much more consequential. The Paradice fire teaches us the same lesson, our building habits and our building products will not stand up to the changing environment, and blow torch events.
To see what the fire has grown to, all the devastation since this was live on Tuesday, hurts my heart so so much... and we are not done. Mandeville Canyon is in great danger as of Saturday morning and winds are incoming and I fear this is going to get even worse.
Will incidents like these create code enforcement for fire breaks as well as added preventive measures like facility water systems? If architecture hasn't planned it, what actions are realistic?
The issue with fire in SoCal is that there is too much fire, almost all from human-caused ignitions -- which in turn leads to heavy cover of highly flammable, non-native grasses -- which perpetuates the fire cycle. This is a very different context than in other regions of California. And climate change is drying out the fuels more severely and over longer period of time -- which also contributes to extreme fire weather. We've created an unworkable situation.
Horrible humans. When greedy developers, consumers, flippers, commercial monsters, brokers, real estate agents price any normal person out of housing ... We get fires.

@@StopProcreating Half agree, in my opinion it's "building" there in the first place. The winds coming through the mountains will always send fires at ridiculous speeds towards those homes if it happens. What's not fun, is living where there's fireballs landing everywhere in seconds, during a wildfire that isn't typical one.
I go by how people act when they think they are not identifiable. Watch how Californians drive and tell me you see them thinking about anything but themselves. They will rebuild with no consideration for the next fire and how one house burning affects the rest. Just like in the East, building a house next to water and complaining about alligators and removing them. That condition was there before you.
Didn’t expect to see you this time of year. Thanks for your always incredible coverage (and other great videos about forest management).
Thanks for your updates. They really helped me track what’s going on. The maps were so helpful.
Thanks for covering this one! Geeze the wind situation is looking grim for socal tonight

On the day of the Apocalypse, I'll be watching Zeke's livestream for competent commentary on how we are being consumed by the flames.
Watching and sharing - thank you
Acton RR tracks fire, there was a old station called 'Ravenna '...just a shake on the side of the tracks...😮

I wish people who smoke wouldn’t throw their cigarette out of their window.

Ridiculous winds and horrible sounds like sirens in Glendale
I start3d at 200 acres about 10am and at 7pm 2900 👀
We should manage will brush IMO with massive goat-grazing programs.
Residents need to have removed all that brush.
They should know better.
Remember Oakland hills 1991.
Wow, i feel like ive had a course in fire..those hills are always burnin. I had no idea as im from the midwest. I was believing the DEW stories
Such a Densely Populated Area!
Thankfully, Los Angeles has Incredible Fire Personnel and Resources. 🙏🏼⛑️💦
