      Play as a Daimyo, not as ashikaga. It's obviously really boring as ashikaga and historically the Emperor had very little domestic control especially during the sengoku era. • @TheKlaun9
      @TheKlaun9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just an opinion, but ming is the worst nation to play as in the game apart from natives. They start overpowered so boring, can't do much and well, just play manchu for example - straight up more interesting and better. They are most likely on the bottom of any player's list and so many more worthy potential guides exist. If you're new to eu4 or starting again (otherwise no ming guide is needed), play other regions. They're complicated, don't have a clear expansion path and can potentially collapse under you. E.g. Japan in the Region is simple, many guides exist and much more fun and stable

      You start big and powerful yep but it's one of few nations who actually have internal struggles that keeps you occupied. If you were to play tall is Portugal or Netherlands and deliberately refraining from war and conquest, you're just sitting there waiting for more mana. As Ming, you're actually dealing with rebels and you have your mandate to progress through. This is all stuff you can spend your time on instead of just sitting around.

    Many are surprised that the flag of the Karaman Beylik depicts the so-called Star of David. Since Islam accepts all prophets before Muhammad and even presents this as a condition for the faith, the so-called David star has been widely used in Muslim circles. In Islam, it is called the "seal of Solomon" and has been used by many people for blessing, protection from evil spirits, etc. Even Barbarossa, Grand Admiral of the Ottoman fleet, sailed with ships that had this symbol on their sails. If you want to see it, you can do so in the Naval Museum in Istanbul. Not far from the museum is buried Barbarossa.

    • @No1twelshy
      @No1twelshy ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Historical friends/rivals are meant to portray how different countries relationships were at the game start, and the Ottomans had barely interacted with Muscovy at all in 1444 so it wouldn't really make sense for them to be rivals.

After all eu4 does several other things that are similar. For example, to my knowledge france was never in a union with Naples, yet it gets a restoration of union CB against naples; countries getting cores/perma claims through their mission tree even if they historically didn't own that place before a certain date.
