It’s amazing how easy these guys make it look to run 140+ mph on dirt . I have to think engine builders hold their breath the duration of this race .

When you see these races from the stands or TV the skill of the drivers make it look like a smooth peaceful, yet you zoom into the cockpit and the drivers are jerking around like Leatherface trying to drive a normal car.

If you have to move the steering wheel around that much your weight is off. It's like watching a rookie.

Thank you keyboard warrior. I'm sure you've played many video games to gain that knowledge.

Kraig Kinser a rookie lol. Only one of the most established drivers from a family who’s name will be synonymous with sprint car racing for as long as it exists. The guy is racing at the absolute pinnacle of sprint car racing and with the best there is. Goes out on the road and is a contracted driver. Yep just a rookie

Either you are trolling or know nothing about dirt. Even with a solid car you have to move the wheel alot. Dirt racers are some of the most skilled drivers in the world.

Aside from the obvious things that ppl above have so nicely corrected him on..... ppl like this just make me laugh, there isn't one grain of salt worth of truth or fact in his statement..., ide honestly like to hear him elaborate on the weight issue to fix the "problematic steering" .....😂😂😂 but ima gonna just drop some knowledge on him so at least in the future he can have something factual to say.

This is Bristol a large 1/2 mile oval.., a nascar track. , with clay on it for the sprints to run on it. This girl's probably somewhat NASCAR fan as far as watching going to erase. Or something he's looking at this sprint car. Comparing it to what he sees on TV or at this track while watching the stock car. And it's 2 different animals, 2 different cars.. Where the stock car is. On the gas down the straightway, breaking entering the corner rolling through the corner, keeping the car square.
Back in the throttle, exacting the corner because that's. How a stock hard drives on a small track. On concrete or asphalt.
It's also carrying probably a 120 miles an hour so down the straight away. It has to break to make the corner. Where drops down to probably 60 miles an hour 70 somewhere in there. Because it can't perform beyond that point without wrecking.
Where you have a sprint car. That's 1200 pounds 950 Horsepower. Vs 3400 lbs 700 hp stock car. The sprint car however Has produced top speeds 155+ miles an hour vs stock car 120+/- , and as you can see The sprint cars are going that fast and carrying that speed into the corner. They're not using no brace. Not saying they never do in traffic but the majority of this video he's wide open, letting out slightly here and there to steer the car, Yes, you heard me right. He is slightly, you can hear the engine rpm. He's in out and back in the throttle to steer the rice car.. These cars.
      Are designed and set up.
To turn left without any input to the steering wheel. They are. Steered.
With the throttle primarily based on how the car is designed and if he looked at a sprint car from the back, the sad is different in the left rear. And the right rear tire. Imagine a red solo cup. If you have one at the house, go get it, put it on the counter top, put the open into the cup facing. You're right hand in the closed into your lift. Try to push straight across the countertop. It's not gonna do it. It's gonna want to turn left and make a circle
      It's called stagger.
And they run a lot of it. These cars are so light so fast. In order to do what they do they have to run this? Huge difference in stagger. Or it wouldn't make it around the corners that it does with just the steering wheel. That's why they're able to go so much faster on the same exact track as the stock car.
So. If these cars you know, you're wide open. Because there will within their capabilities. Well, if you're wide open, it's wanting to turn left, which brings up the next part of steering for a sprint car, which is the steering wheel in the front tires where you're basically. Assisting the rear steer with major counter. Steer.
There's saying on dirt, especially with these cars. To go left, you have to turn right? And that is a fact you can't turn left in this car and in the gas. They make it through the corner. You're gonna they're gonna spin out. You're gonna lose control of the car. These cars designed to run. Balls to the wall. As fast as possible. When you're driving a stock car, you're keeping that car under control. So you don't lose control as a sprint car. You're controlling sicar that is out of control. Just the nature of the Beast. Without the wings that are on it, it wouldn't be capable of doing what it's doing in the video. They would have to drive less all the way around less aggressive. But it has nothing to do with weight. That car is designed to do exactly what is doing. So obviously in order for that NASCAR. To go any faster than it does normally. You would literally have to do and make it. Drive the same way as the sprint car, which would mean that the Asian's gonna be kicked out. Tires are gonna be turned to the right and you could care more speed in the corner through the corner corner.. Hopefully, he learned something today. Don't be that guy, just enjoy some race. Man, you aint got to know nothing about it or pretend like you do or anything. Just enjoy it for what it is, take it easy
