Young man I've been racing since age 14 I'm 48 now and you are very experienced in racing and I know you know about safety but as a friend and fellow human being please make sure you always update your safety equipment and make sure it's working I'm paying the price for as I get older
What safety equip. is Tanner not up to date on? How do you make sure your belts, HANS, Helmet, head sock, underwear, suit, Socks, shoes, gloves, arm restraints, seat and roll cage are working?
I'm 29 and got in two bad wrecks in dirt sprint and a asphalt modified hit wall wide open outside got hooked into it by car from behind in the mod race when I was 15 been racing since I was 10 and I feel it every day . I stoped two years ago cuse if I got in another bad one I won't walk again and I u and I hurt everyday my back kills me it's hard to get out of bed and some days I can't walk and I still have to work. Pain got so bad I had to go get surgeries and injections on my back I have three slipped discs and a fractured vertebrae. And the Sprint car I flipped and hit the wall upside down the top Wing when I was 19. I've fractured my other vertebrae in that wreck now I'm 29 quit racing 3 years ago and I can't race ever again if I get another wreck I might not be able to walk so do me a favor and update all your safety equipment cuz mine was a little
It’s is because he has his steering wheel one click to the left or in other words the wheel is offset so if your steering wheel is straight the car while turn right. A lot of sprint car drivers have there wheel offset. In my opinion it’s easier to correct when the wheel is off.
I was going to say the same thing. Someone that's not a sprint car driver told me you have to let go of the wheel and cross your arms. I said the drag link is the first thing to break. Hang in tight and wait till it's over.
I know this is a really old comment, but Its pretty easy to break your wrists if you hold onto the wheel I think best thin to do would probably be cross your arms
@@ZrubekFamily yea for sure, this is what my uncle has told me who has raced a super late model for 23 years, but I feel like arm restraints could also be needed for sprint cars but not sure about them specifically :)
So this year you were the guy stripping front axles outside the pits the morning after the races. Keep safe. Not sure if Haans Devices are used in sprint cars, but you should have one if they are, and arm restraints should be required. It's no fun healing from a crushed limb.
“Turn right to go left “
You should make a compilation of all your wrecks even from outlaw carts
And could call it " The ups and downs of Tanner Holmes "

popped the right rear at 3:48 by hitting the wall..then it dug in.
TH has come along ways in one yr. Next season ur going to be even better. Cant wait for 2023 Dirt Cup.
looks like that hurt and in nd at river cities speedway they have a go kart track that you should bring your outlaw kart with the 6.5 HP motor
Glad your ok. Going to happen. Part of it. Learning curve is sometimes painful.
Why is there so much play in the steering?
Is there like a gyro system?
Ouch it looks like that hurt

Is it just me or is he moving the steering wheel more than the wheels are turning ??????

3:50 thanks
🐐
Looked a lot like bells chili bowl flip
Try to hold onto that steering wheel next time so your arms stay in the cockpit. I thought they required arm restraints? Glad you were ok.

@@ashtr1lla764 Thinking about now I can see how you are right. That wheel could spin pretty violently while the car flips and come down on the track
