Auxiliary wire I use quit a bit in crawling and racing applications ..There is a white wire on your ESC and you connect to a unused channel to witch you have a rotary control of .. for crawling you set the aux wire to crawler break and this gives you adjustable crawler break on the fly ..so descending you can start at 100% break you rotate the selected switch to lower the drag break amount to slowly descends down hill second when on level ground it allowes you to take the drag break completely out of the picture so you don't flip over...try it youll like itt...
@@rctrails4 I really did't know what is was for either until I started racing I used torque control then its a great feature I guess that Tekin has similar feature too

On the BEC voltage... didn't hear you mention it, but MAKE SURE your receivers can handle more than 6v(standard for most RTR receivers). FYI, all Spectrum DSM2 & DSMR receivers can handle up to 9.0v.
Most ALL Traxxas electronics can only safely handle 6V max, including not only the Rx but also any shift servos as well. Even the TRX power servos (330/400) which recommend a separate TRX BEC, that only puts out 6V (but more amps than stock ESC). To have your steering servo powered by a higher voltage in those cases, you'll need a separate, non-TRX, BEC for it, and leave the ESC on 6V, or replace everything with stuff that can withstand 7.4V.
Thanks for putting this together. One questions, I'm assuming the max BEC would be the lowest of the maximum voltages of either the servo or the receiver. That's correct, right?
I used my tx to program my drag brake but curious this is my first time and now that I have it set, the yellow light is beeping like it’s supposed to but what do I do now to set everything and begin to drive it? Do I just power it off then power it back on?
Haven't powered my mamba x up yet but can I purchase just the Bluetooth BLink and be able to program or will I still need to get usb connector and do initial power up using computer?
Hey there Francis i have a brand new mamba x esc and i purchased a new but opened holmes hobbies puller pro v2 2700kv stubby to pair to the mamba x but when taking the holmes outnof the opened box it has yellow shrink tube around the bullets on the motor like it was used before because they dont come with the yellow shrink tube. My question is would it keep my mamba x esc from making any audible alerts because it doesnt do anything but have a yellow light on The esc. Possibly bad motor ? Please any help would be much appreciated 🙏
Does this B-link work if I don't have a sensored motor? Planning to run the MAMBA MONSTER X 8S with a Hobbywing 4985sl 1650kv motor which isn't sensored. Thanks!
Oooh, not much one can do there. But we do use the Sidewinder 4 for Holmes Hobbies Revolver and 3Brothers Yellowjacket. Outrunner motors seem to have a lot more low speed modulation and torque.
Nice been searching for ever on this b link and it still seems like it's an upgraded field card. The classic c link is probably the best for controlling the curve. Why can't control the curve on 50 dollar link but I can on a 20-30 c link lol why ????? Ok sorry I got end of video 😂 looks like I can do the curves
Hey man quick question, my mamba monster 2 esc manual says i can manually change my internal bec from stock 5.5v to 7v but no programming option in the link, so what's up with that? They made it so i have to buy the external bec? Thanks
On my esc i have a small plug that connects the signal wire to the - iñ the bec. Turn on the esc and unplug the plug within 2 seconds and it changes the bec output...
I have a Capra 1.9 with the Mamba MicroX ESC. The problem I have is my reverse is slow and not powerful and it is set to 100%. What would cause slow reverse?
@@RCReviewChannel When you turn up the BEC to 7.5v or 8v does that also effect the voltage going to the receiver or is that setting strictly for the servo output? John of Holmes Hobbies would disagree with you. He says PC is better. You sometimes lose the setup. Not on my BR-XL. Works flawlessly. But I can’t use it on my Torquemaster Mini Dual on my MOA. I really don’t need it. It’s perfect the way it is. And I DON’T want a PC back in my life. Dilemma...

Oh man, let me try that now with my Flysky GT5
Im suprised he didnt know what it was for

Just got to the Holmes hobby guys channel. ✌🏻

Is that the reason my receiver goes crazy , my steering goes right and left by itself when I connected the mama a x

I got the fs gt5 from your recommendation. And your link. But can't get the mamba x aux wire to work with it.? Can u do a video about it.

Arming time useful I suspect for quadcopters / flight.
Don't have an iPhone... Only have an old Android. 😞
My PC hasn't worked in over 9 years.

Hey, brotha quick question Is this the same for the mamba micro x2?
Can this B link Bluetooth to be used for castle creation MMX8S ESC?
I updated my micro x and now it won’t connect back so I can’t set anything so how can I get it to connect? Thanks in advance

Why do you have all those controllers for all of those cars?
Wouldn’t it be more feasible to buy a controller that can control all of them??
Can you make a video on tuning a sensorless sidewinder4 for a crawler?

Yes, this is fully capable of all configuration options.
It's ridiculous they charge $50 for a $2 Bluetooth Module.
The price is painful I agree but keep in mind that you are not buying a module Mark, you are buying an experience ;-)
i was looking at this video special for the aux wire. Has bin 3 years since i programmed one, and i forgot how. turns out he doesnt know it :p

Reprogram your throttle/reverse on your receiver with the setting at neutral.
Hello B link work with xlx2 ? Thank you.
Awesome channel thank you
Do you leave the module connected permanently in the vehicle ?
No
Any way i could split the BEC voltage for traxxas summit? I got 5 servos😂
Splitting BEC, voltage is not possible unfortunately.
Please help, I did this and now I am getting quick rapid green blink with beeps. I used the castle link and now my esc is not working please help
I'm having issues with my b.link, 3 of my esc xlx2 a in setting mode and not going into drive mode, can anyone help

Yes. No need for a receiver

What happens if it goes in reverse stead of forward ty
reverse the rotation through b-link
Mine doesn’t have the drag brake ramp setting??
that's supposed to be in the latest, latest firmware

How do you solf problem with traxxas lift kit?
