wow man, this just saved me having to get a programming card. my temps are a lot hot now from the added brake force. i'm running the 5700 kv motor, any advice?
Glad it's of use I did this video as I bought the card from my LHS BUT it needed an update to work, the problem I had? I've a mac and the update is only available for a PC! Hence this video as I thought if I'm having to do it this way might as well video it to help someone else out! What car are you running the 5700kv in, also what ESC and gearing? Off for the night in a min but will pick up again tomorrow.

Yes don't brake as much.
So after going through your steps a couple times I managed to get the brakes to actually work. The problem is you only show the options for a few of the categories. But my ESC has eight different categories and I don't know what the options are in those other categories because castles online programming instructions only have like six categories and they appear to be in a different order than the ones in your instruction book. I'm so lost now I don't know what I'm setting in these different categories cuz I can't figure out what they are 🤬🤬🤬
Sounds confusing but after a few attempts it'll work out just fine.
im lost...i followed the instructions....i put my transmitter at full stick(heli application)..wait and wait ..it doesnt make ny tones..i waited 5 minutes and nothing ...only thing it does is arm the motor when i drop it back down to low stick

How Many settings are on this? You basically stop at 5, is there only 6 settings to go through with the MMX8S 1717 1650kv?
My x series esc has 6 settings. I have no paperwork would you know what it's for and the option values. Thanks so much.

What does it mean when the eac beeps three times at idle
Can a REDCAT RCR-2C 2.4Hz / Be programed to that MAMBA?
When you’re finished programming do you just turn tge esc off to save settings or is there another step to save?
Shaun just turn it off and that should save it if all's gone well.
I tried to calibrate my mamba x 3800kv crawler edition to my traxxas reciever/remote, and i guess i hit something wrong, now when i try to re calibrate it, it just beeps 3 times (. . _ ) and blinks red, yellow, yellow, cant seem to figure it out, my esc and fan also do this weird power off thing when i turn my wheels side to side, need help asap
I would contact castle or your LHS as it's impossible for me to offer advice without seeing it. Can't imagine it's anything major although I appreciate it/s frustraing for you
@@DriftomaniacsRC i got told by someone else that has a mamba x it might he cause im using the stock traxxas radio/reciever and that i should try a different radio at a friends to see if it works, if not ill have to contact castle on monday
Is the esc fan supposed to turn off once you arm your contorler to the esc after programing your esc
@@jaykobenmozzymozzy6085 yup, after its finished its start up, the fan only turns on automatically to cool the esc down if it gets warm (if you have it turned on still, i think its on by default, in settings via pc)

What about if you're having difficulty even getting to that menu. When I do. Rattle and then start the ESC it just starts up regularly it doesn't go into programming

Why would my sidewinder SCT ESC have no brakes at all? And I don't mean the brakes aren't working I mean they just don't exist. When I hit reverse it immediately goes into reverse. It's gonna explode my damn transmission 🤬

Ray very very hard to help out remotely, best thing I would say is if you can stretch to it get the b-link (About $40) and then you can program this and SO much more via android or apple phone, literally you can change EVERY paramater you can think of and then a lot you or I never even thought about!

Nate you'd be as fast to check the online manual on the castle site as that's what I'd have to do to tell you the answer. I would say though if you buy the castle b-link connector for it then you can change everything via your mobile phone on the castle app. I'm lost without it now. Best $40 you'll spend on castle product
Here's another one if you use a nimh battery on the castle esc while on lipo cut off what will happen
I still haven’t got my mamba x and censored motor combo to work, every time I plug in the cable the motor won’t move it cogs just sitting there, and when I unplug it, it drives like a regular truck even though it’s a sensor’d motor. Help.
I would contact castle directly with their helpdesk you're through to them in less than 30 secs
