Tool can be overwhelming at times. I saw them live two nights ago and I'm still wondering how the hell they did it. You can listen to a Tool song a dozen, a hundred times and it never gets old. They have no bad songs. They have no peers.
Agreed. It’s a masterpiece. Saw them do this song live back in October, it was emotional. I was so so so happy they played it. I knew it was on their set list but was scared they would skip it for some reason…. Then it started. And didn’t disappoint. It surpassed my expectations. And these guys are fn 60 now and still sound this good. Have ya heard Vince Neil lately? I hope not
This is in my opinion the best produced Tool song along with Lateralus. Instruments and vocals sound so good. The mix is absolutely beautiful. Crisp and powerful, dynamic and full of constrast. An absolute masterpiece.
Me and my husband saw them Monday and he teared up to this. I cried to Invincible. It's not the first time we've heard these songs in concert, but you never know how their masterpieces will touch you.
Ufff both songs are among my favorite, absolute masterpieces. I'm going to see them on May with my wife for the second time and I can't wait of the excitement. If they play 10,000 days I'm gonna bawl my eyes out
Fun fact... this album debuted at number 1 ahead of Taylor Swift. They released at the same time. Everyone was asking who Tool was. We all knew. That's how big their fan base is.
Great video man, as tool fans we don’t mind the pauses, we love to see your insights and your thoughts, I would also like to add that, first listens are very overwhelming but the next couple of listens, the more it grows onto you and dissect it easier, but great video overall
Thanks so much. Their music is unlike anything i have ever heard, but i am surprised everytime and gain new insights and perspectives on certain issues and on life. I think it came at a right time in my own life.
If you did a back to back pneums, album and live drum cam, we are here for it as tool fans. You get to witness greatness right in front of uou. It's amazing.
With Tool, it feels like my favorite song of theirs is always the one that I'm currently listening, so they all seem my favorite when I listen to them, but eventually, after countless listens of their discography, things end up settling, and I must say this is actually my favorite song. It hits deeply, special, intimately even, at a soul level. ✨
This one really spoke to me. I have to listen to more songs and multiple times, before i could pick some favorites. But so far they have all been great. Thanks for watching.
This song is incredible and relatable as hell in 2024. Its messed up to watch all the things going on right now. Traumatized by ourselves. insanity running rampant. Tool lyrics are so well written. Love the lyrics to the grudge.
The different levels this song delivers to the listener is truly an experience that stays with you. Multiple listens will reveal parts you didnt hear before. It doesn't require substances to appreciate the diverse originality Tool songs provide all of us. Cheers brother!🌀🤘🤙
The same feeling happened to me about 6 months ago but a different tool song. The end of lateralus really got me, honestly My whole life has changed. It was like a whole perspective shift. I heard this song for the first time 2 weeks ago and I think I listened to it everyday since. It's like a call to arms. Do or die.
I’m going to see them tonight here in Vegas , I think it will be my 16th show . If I was rich, I would follow them around the world and watch them blow it out of the park !! Words can’t describe a live TOOL show ! Especially now with their insane light and laser extravaganza, that’s better than a Pink Floyd show .. Saeed if there ever in your neck of the woods you gotta check them out !! Love your reactions, keep it up ! Another great band to check out King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard , their claim to fame is they just managed to record 25 albums in 10 years , and they are a jam band Pink Floydish , some of their songs are bluesy , they’ve done metal, and techno with a little rap, insane talent!! Check out motorspirit and Change to hear how diverse these guys are ! You won’t be disappointed!!
Haha it is overwhelming at times. This song I still haven't figured out some things with the timing etc at parts. I hope to over the next few years naturally, I can't wait for it to click and say oh ye I get it.
0:25 Pop acts release albums that are 14 minutes these days. - I am laughing my butt off, while thinking - “there is more creativity in a 14min Tool song than there is in a lot of artist’s entire catalog”. Spiral Out, brotha!
Along with Cullings Voices, it's the best one on the album.. But it took me a while to make that choice, Invincible and Pneuma were my favourite ones at the start
Yeah my cousin was in a band called Flaw which had mild success touring with Ozzy, but they took the wrong approach by partying. This lead to their end.
I love that you paused just after the end of the lyrics and mentioned that there was still 5 minutes left in the song. As a writer, or a well-read person, the lyrics should make you feel a little sick, and the band let you sit with that feeling for another 5 minutes. It is a little difficult. I love it!
7:46 "The other party thinks that of the other one. They think that we are asleep, and we are thinking that they are sleeping. So who's sleeping, guys?! We're all in the matrix!" Lol, I love this guy! Subscribed 👍😂
Noticed you payed attention and noticed it ourself there was still 5 minutes of the song left... And you seemed a bit surprised, but aren't you glad you stayed the journey.
9:17 - never apologize for pausing. Tool fans (specifically) won’t truly care that you paused. We have done it ourselves often to absorb what we hear. Spiral Out Brotha!
I appreciate your reaction. This song is one of my favorite songs of all time. I get goosebumps every time. I see this song as being about the direction the world is going with climate change and all the other man made processes that put our survival as a species in peril. It starts from winds (solar winds?) then water, then out of the water. and after all the amazing creations eventually returns to the water.
If this song was called "Global warming ", maybe the desperate call to arms and final warming would be understood. To me that's the context. The madness of our own making. In the end of song the ocean waves remain, not our noise
One of the greatest songs ever composed
Brilliant
This one was so good. Had to recover. Thanks for watching.
I said the same thing after the first time I heard it.😊
100% Epic Masterpiece!
Tool can be overwhelming at times. I saw them live two nights ago and I'm still wondering how the hell they did it. You can listen to a Tool song a dozen, a hundred times and it never gets old. They have no bad songs. They have no peers.
Were you at the Fresno show? I got sound check access and got thrown a guitar pick from Justin f'n Chancellor!
Havent come across a bad one yet. Looking forward to more. Thanks for watching.
I was at the Fresno show. Loved it !
As tool fans we had to wait 13 years after 10000 days for this…. But it was worth it… they constantly evolved. This whole album is fantastic 👍
Damn! I feel that. Still waiting for the last Song of Ice and Fire books 😅.
Lol 👍…. Speaking of which did you check out that Serj doing reigns of castamere?
Agreed. It’s a masterpiece. Saw them do this song live back in October, it was emotional. I was so so so happy they played it. @@Spurlano420 Vince Neil sounded bad when I saw him in 2006. Lol
Its Prophetic!

That is so cool. Their music hits different. Thank you for sharing that.

I cry to them at home but when at the concerts I’m so pumped n hyped I’m going home with no voice…
I'm enjoying your Tool journey, thanks for sharing it with us, brother.
Thanks, brother! I appreciate the support.

This, back to back would be amazing. Do the same for Push It. Those lyrics will hit you.

Definitely needs multiple listens. Amazing song! Thanks for watching!
We had to wait 13 years to hear how adam would find a way to pound that open d power chord. Worth it!!!
That is a long wait!
I have loved Tool from the second I first heard them in '95...but for me, Descending is their best song.
This one really spoke to me. I need to listen to it multiple times.
This was me 4 and a half years ago when I first heard this track as well... It quickly became my new favorite
This one really hit me! Thanks for watching.
Yes this is one of the most beautiful songs.
This one spoke to me on many levels. Thanks for watching.

Awesome reaction!..💯👍
It keeps getting better. Thanks!
its a wake up call. notice the main beat sounds like a blaring alarm until the end
I definitely felt that. I will go back and listen to see if i can catch that part. Thanks!

Maynard is a lyrical genius
I love lyrics that can be interpreted in many ways and with double entendres. He is great. Thanks for watching.
Great reaction! Keep exploring, as TOOL will forever change your taste and/or perception of music. 🌀🌀
It is transformative! Looking forward to more. Thanks for watching.
Stir us from our wanton slumber has been the human theme since 2016
In one interview I watched Maynard said they thought songs they were listening to climaxed in the wrong place, so they had to write their own. 🔩
I love that. Just start creating yourself, that is something i can draw inspiration from. Thanks for sharing!
In Rosetta Stoned, he did say he was given a message....🤔
You should really consider seeing if Tool is touring through wherever you live and gooooo 😎😎🤘🏼
Apparently they are in Belgium this summer. Don't know if tickets are still available. Will have a look. Thanks for watching.
four geniuses that's how they do it , simple !!:P
No more words needed 😀

The band Tool is substance free. They take their craft seriously.
Thats inspiring.

Most epic song ever
Amazing song!
Yes.
Babylon Zoo 'Spaceman'... i used to have a 12" techno remix of that which i used as a dj back in my younger years

“Swan song or epilogue”. Either we are transforming or ending?
The beginning of the end as we know it perhaps. But in the meantime just keep living 🤟. Have a great day.
yeah... and most pop artists don't even write their own songs, and they certainly couldn't write a masterpiece like this
