    'Wonderful! First, I never knew about 'Focus Area' select before, and second, the glow cast by the LUT you used - wow!

    Thanks yet again. I did it in under two hours using your photos; now I am off to try it with a couple of my own photos!

    Hi Marty. I had found this type accidentally in your project files. I must say it’s very impressive. I’ve used it and with great success. This particular one definitely adds to the knowledge from your previous files. Thank you so very much. 👏💕

    Perfect. Just perfect. Thank You. Can you make one on how to create a robot or cyborg? I watched some others do it, and even though their designs are great, their instruction is 100% HORRIBLE

    Thanks, Marty. This looks good, nice and simple, although I used different photos as I don't like to completely copy something.
    However, @6:00, when you used the gradient filter, why did you place the gradient directly on the photo? It's very destructive, and you can't really go back and correct it if you make a mistake. I used a new layer and clipped it to the photo layer. 😊
    The tip at the end for removing the line and blending better was very useful, thanks!

    • @BLTV_Photoshop
      @BLTV_Photoshop  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. The non-destructive way would have been to place the gradient on its own layer above the photo.

      @@BLTV_Photoshop 😊 It wasn't a criticism, just my opinion, as I know smart objects and layers is how you usually work. Great outcome, BTW.

    hey what if im using older version and didnt have the focus area option?

      I explain how to make a selection around the subject starting at 2:58. Once you have the selection, go to 4:28.

    Wouldn't it have been easier to just edit the mask on one of the other layers to get rid of that line that connected the top of the hat?

    • @BLTV_Photoshop
      @BLTV_Photoshop  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No. Also, the skies in both images won't blend together seamlessly. Try it and see.

    • @DisturbedShifty
      @DisturbedShifty 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BLTV_Photoshop Ok. So I tired it and I agree that adjusting the layer mask doesn't work. However using the spot healing brush on the snap shot composite is faster than doing the extra steps of the alpha channel, the eyedropper and brush tools.

    • @dabas32
      @dabas32 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DisturbedShifty I prefer that he showed it this way, cause everyone can pick up photoshop and paint over stuff they dont want with the brush tool, i'm here to learn the more advanced stuff

    • @DisturbedShifty
      @DisturbedShifty 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dabas32 Sure. If the color is correct. Using the eyedropper tool doesn't always get the proper color you need. Using the healing brush to eliminate a thin line is better because it samples the area around the line and combines them in the middle. The only reason why the brush works this time is because the colors above and below the line were similar. If they are two distinct colors the brush wouldn't have works as well as it did in this example. I am not saying the way he did it is wrong. I am just saying using the healing brush eliminates a couple of steps that really aren't necessary. The thing with Photoshop is there is always multiple ways to do things. I personally prefer to have a faster work flow, especially if it has the same results.
