    You are a great instructor. As a beginner, I often get lost on some of the more advanced methods (hair corrections for example and advance masking techniques) but I realize that I will need to watch your videos multiple times. I like how you repeatedly tell the audience what you are doing as you are doing it. Also it is helpful how you mention the key shortcuts and they are displayed on the screen. I am learning many new methods from your tutorials. Thank you.

    First time watching your tutorials and love the teaching style. Appreciate that you explain WHY you're making the choices you're making and what each element of a setting does (like with the luminosity sliders) instead of just giving a number to set a setting to like most videos do. I feel like I actually learned how to do a composite with any image rather than how to do a composite on the sample images in the video. Looking forward to watching your other vids.

    Dude. One of the best tutorials on making a montage I’ve ever watched. I’ve learnt so much from this one video alone....
    I especially liked the blend if for the hair near the end, I’ve never seen that technique used before.
    Previously, I would have masked the hair out best I could before even starting the colour match etc - this will save me hours in the long run. Thank you!

The best parts are the 'whys' and 'hows' of each step and the methods used and applied to get the desired results. Sir, I've watched countless PS tutorials, yours included among many others. But after watching this, yours is one of the very few that have compelled me to subscribe to your channel. I like your communication style, the zoom-ins on the tools, the explanations and uses of the tools (many of which go unnoticed or unused by users), the level of detail you present, and the very practical uses of this powerful image editing program. As much as or more than any course instructor I've watched, your instruction can turn an intermediate or intermediate-plus Photoshop user into a confident, well-rounded, advanced user. In particular to this video, I especially liked the RAW filter processing, but really I liked the whole thing. Thanks a lot for your generosity of knowledge and spirit!
    One idea I haven't seen presented on the subject of compositing is matching, or attempting to match, a combination of photos with different perspectives into a whole that looks seamless and realistic. I've racked my brain experimenting with the transform tool (skew, perspective, rotate, etc.,) on individual object layers to try to achieve such a cohesive effect, but I'm sure I'm missing something.

    @michelleloparo8175 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Oh my God - Thank you! I've watched about 20 PS tutorials supposedly for beginners, but this is one of the few that actually walks you through every step and explains the functions of the tools. I found this incredibly helpful.

    Like all your others, I love this tutorial. The part about perspective and vanishing point, and horizon line is awesome! Brings me back to Architecture school days! One added tip... Whenever you're looking at a scene, the vanishing point/ horizon is at the eye level of whomever created the image. If that person was standing on the ground, the horizon will be 4.5-5 feet above the ground (you can estimate based on known sizes of objects). I the person was standing on a 10' ladder, looking straight ahead, the horizon would be up there!

  • @samgod
    @samgod 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Good tutorial. A good technique in VFX film compositing is light wrapping where you wrap the edge of the foreground with the colors of the immediate background. Beyond color matching, it makes the background appear to actually light, reflect off, and interact with the foreground.

    I've also seen a tutorial that handled hair vs background pretty well by selecting Overlay in brush options, and using a black and white brush on the layer mask
