    I truly enjoy your enthusiasm with all your projects.
    Engaging Andrew for the rescue was classic! He was the first person I thought of when you hit the pond/effluence lake. ;)

    the three tabs on the motor mount, if you glue in some carbon fibre spars ($4 a pack from bangood ) in front of he tabs so th e pod pushes on them not just the foam and the wing is a bit less flexible too. double bonus. ;)

    It's the same company that made your lighting from 2 years ago Chris. By the way I just bought one of those lighting's that we're supposed to be lightning. LOL (edit: just realized this was an old video! Damn, I am SO blonde sometimes...)

    I'm not sure if you will be flying this little guy again anytime soon. I would suggest moving the cg just a touch forward it looked like it was purposing a little bit. What was the CG at in the end I think its 110mm from the manual?

      Bruce @xjet what are the odds they had someone produce this product but at a price that says failure?

    Living next to a pond, obliges you to expore marine RC. I'd sugest a swampland boat popular in the Louisianna delta. You know. The ones with a great big prop behind the seat. Great for pushing downed fkying machines.

    Of course it was a friendly jibe... I know that. But I still felt a little sting for Andrew. Brushed it aside. Simple 'trash-talk' and all that but still that sting was there. Then you brought him in on it - flipped my head all around - that was absolutely great!

      Looks like the servo slots have been rotated 90 degrees and there are two spars instead of one, different color scheme. Otherwise it looks the same.

    You needed less drag... id est: rx, LiPo and ballast need to be placed into the wing. Reducing drag will greatly improve its sloping capacities. As will thinning the draggy winglets.

    At first I wondered if TechOne was producing these for them but the quality don't seem near their normal standards. Unless they were contracted out at a more budget price and had to cut specs due to the client wanting a certain threshold of production per unit. Suppose it's an option. Because a TekSumo and the popwing are carbon copies and are equally awesome. I feel to many corners may have been cut for a bigger gain margin, and that's a death sentence to a budding company. Don't get to greedy until no one can do shit about it!

    • @iforce2d
      @iforce2d  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Quite true. At this price I would easily recommend a bonsai over this one.

    Put FPV on it instead of the dollars! Same weight, a bit more expensive, but will give much better experience in my opinion! (:

    • @iforce2d
      @iforce2d  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think FPV slope soaring would be damn near impossible. You need to have a very acute awareness of your change in altitude from moment to moment, and also a good feel for the direction and speed of the wind. In FPV you can only see groundspeed, not airspeed. Since you're facing away from the slope most of the time, you will have no idea if you're in front of the good lift spot or not. You can't just turn around anytime you like and take a look either, because your lift is related to the direction you're facing, and turning around pushes you back very very quickly - in other words, you need to know what's behind you before you even think about turning around. Maybe with a very very good head tracking camera it might work out though :)

    dwhobby do have other planes . Their 3D planes dont get good reviews and are overpriced. Hobbyking was selling a few dwhobby planes.
