- Hit the strip to see if I could beat my previous best of 14.79 @ 95 now that I have quite a few more mods, including a tune. Car is having serious trouble getting off the line without wheel hop or spin, so going to look into ways to curb that. It's a 13 second car for sure if I can bring the 60 foot time down. Also, even with ~70 degree ambient temps, was fighting high intake temps all night. This best run was after the car sat for quite a while. I had also put the front tires at 20psi and did a quick burnout to clean them. Looking into a much stiffer lower engine mount that I would only use at the strip, meth injection to lower the intake temps, and possibly some stickier tires.

Good runs man, I saw that run in real time at Wildhorse 👍..I was thinking we'd be a good match when I saw the time.
Only got there from letting the car sit for a while, and the track cleanup right before helped too. Intake temps in the 130's, car hates it. Not sure when I'll be back but it won't be before fixing that, probably with meth injection.
2.1 60ft gets you in the 13s
I have a Elantra Sport 17, with some mods, but my car are having some problems. Question... Do your car present problems in the first mods?

Is the car able to run e30 stock or a gallon or two of e85 with the rest 91 octane?
Really depends on the ethanol content of the E85 which is not created equally. This requires using a tester to check the percentage before use. My local station is actually 54% ethanol so I run around 3-4 gallons of E85 and 7-8 gallons of 91. It is not recommended to go over E30 with the car and definitely run an injector cleaner through it periodically.
Will you be out on Nov 8? would like to see your car in action ... I might be out in my 2011 SHO or my 1992 SHO great run tires would help a lot .. what type are you running? I can see if my buddy still has the meth kit I sold him

@@reganmcay5219 Car isn't built for the strip, I just go every once in a while to see what it will run. Concentrating on autocross for the winter then will try again before it warms up.
What's the 0-60 for this car man? Thinking about getting a elantra gt n line and I definitely want to tune it I think stock is 6.6 0-60
I've seen as low as mid 5's but not many people have tested it. Figure 250whp Max on the stock turbo with a tune.
@@JTube571 ok sounds good I plan on doing just full bolt ons and a race chip tune because I don't want to void the warranty, along with light weight wheels. I know it's not a drag race monster but I do want a quick daily driver which it could be with some tuning. Do you know any good companies that do custom tunes ?
@@ordinarygamer1353 only companies I can recommend for a tune at the moment are SXTH or BTR.

All those mods, and only a 0.5 second improvement on acceleration? Somewhat disappointing.
Not being able to get off the line is hurting it. Granted most of my mods are not for this type of activity anyway.

j-Tube a stiffer engine mount and transmission mount should help you out tons
